That text is the message I get after my uploaded photos have failed their verification checks. They are wanting you to try again. I know this because I have failed their checks at least 25 times now and have still not been successful.harlequinnyc said:
Same! although I did then receive a text to say "we've run our id checks, head to the app for an update" - there is no update, just the same screen asking for photo id. Arrgh!moneysaver8 said:I keep getting the message:
Your photo didn't come though
Please check your connection and try again.
Is this because they are getting so many requests maybe?

My wife has just tried several times to open an account on a shared ipad but kept getting the "Your photo didn't come through etc." message so I tried on my phone which is Android 8.0.0 and got the error mesage that it was not supported so I tried on the ipad and that was already linked to my wife's failed attempts so we rang and asked that all details be deleted and was told this could take up to 60 days
I told them we wouldn't be bothering again and the call handler's parting words were "thank you for choosing Chase"If at first you don't succeed, sky diving is not for you!0 -
Just downloaded the app and they are now showing a message saying "We're super busy right now", you may have trouble loading ID etc try later etc etc0

In case you encounter issues re-registering an old device after registering a new one, note that it is necessary to clear the app data, or your login attempts may fail due to an expired device token. The app does not currently recognise this and repeat SMS verification. Instead it gives the error message that your passcode is incorrect.masonic said:
I'm getting the same. Not only that, but if you login on the new device, it deregisters the original one. I'm currently struggling to change back!k_man said:
Just tested this and after the phone number and passcode are entered, an SMS is sent to that phone number.masonic said:
Then that is worrying indeed - if someone can register the app on a new device without anything other than passcode. They should be using one-time SMS or push notification to existing device at least. I suggest you report this to them. I'll dust off one of my old devices and see if I can load the app on it and if so will do likewise.dwforum said:
Well you'd think so wouldn't you? Unfortunately not.masonic said:
They would also need physical access to your device and the ability to unlock it.
I tried installing the Chase App on a completely different device (tablet, not phone) and "signing in" to my account. The user ID is effectively your telephone number, so is available to all and sundry. Again all you need is the passcode to get in. Further, it also serves the culprit with the convenience of locking the genuine user out of the app on their phone, because it only allows one device at once to be signed in to the account.
There's a single point of failure on security (the passcode) underlying all this. That's the failure, and that's why I'll be sticking with systems which use multiple levels of security to make it harder for the bad guys.
So security is 2 factor, or as close to 2 factor as SMS can be. Similar to most bank apps.
Unless @dwforum you can bypass the SMS verification step?

Further to Android requirements: This is the email I received from Chase support regarding minimum requirements.
A number of Android phones that run Android 8.1+ are unsupported by the app due to hardware issues – they have a 32 bit processor rather than a 64 bit processor. This applies to both Motorola E6 and G7. I am sorry but we will not be able to process an application unless you have a supported phone.

But you can install the American version app as I did, go figure. Justed checked the spec on my phone 8 core 64bit.

That would certainly explain why my Pixel 2 is compatible despite it being an older phone (2017) as it's Snapdragon 835 processor is 64-bit.billyboy said:Further to Android requirements: This is the email I received from Chase support regarding minimum requirements.A number of Android phones that run Android 8.1+ are unsupported by the app due to hardware issues – they have a 32 bit processor rather than a 64 bit processor. For anyone wanting to find out this info, I had to Google the phone first to find out the processor type and then visit the processor manufacturer's website - you probably won't find that info (32 vs 64-bit) on a retailer's (or even the phone manufacturer's) website. Even the otherwise-excellent GSM Arena spec site doesn't provide that much detail !1 -
Surprised that any devices on the market now are still 32-bit. Even my entry level smartphone bought in 2016 is 64-bit and is able to run the Chase App.It might be helpful that 32-bit is limited to 4 GB RAM, so if you have more your phone will be 64-bit.2

I have 5 other banking apps no problems, i did speak to Chase support didn't really get a cognative answer other then '' it seems your phone is not supported'' The software coders should be burning the midnight oil to get this fixed.
