billyboy said:Just called Chase support to check why I could not download app as device not compatible message received. I was told most Motorola phones are NON compatible. Ones that were are iphones and Samsung. If anyone is going to buy a phone simply for this account you can ring Chase support and they will tell you if phone will be OK.

keep getting the message:
Your photo didn't come though
Please check your connection and try again.
I have tried with both driving licence and passport with the same results.
The error message is meaningless, I don't know if it is the passport/licence photo that is at fault or the selfie but it asks you to do both again.
I have tried with blinds shut and lights on but same problem.1 -

I tried installing the Chase App on a completely different device (tablet, not phone) and "signing in" to my account. The user ID is effectively your telephone number, so is available to all and sundry. Again all you need is the passcode to get in. Further, it also serves the culprit with the convenience of locking the genuine user out of the app on their phone, because it only allows one device at once to be signed in to the account.
There's a single point of failure on security (the passcode) underlying all this. That's the failure, and that's why I'll be sticking with systems which use multiple levels of security to make it harder for the bad guys.
So security is 2 factor, or as close to 2 factor as SMS can be. Similar to most bank apps.
Unless @dwforum you can bypass the SMS verification step?1 -
just going through the app, I find that there are no daily card spend limits - you would need to contact Support to set a limit.is that usual? I know I can set contactless limits with Starling and other banks.0

Ok, I have got through to the helpdesk and they said it is a problem at their side.
They have had lot of people ringing up to say the same thing, that their photo is not being uploaded.
She said just to leave it for a while as they are working on it as a high priority.
You should get a text from them at some point to confirm whether they have got the photo or not.
I suspect it is because so many people are trying to join so I'll give it some time and see.0 -
Chase UK has confirmed by telephone that the minimum Android requirement for the app is actually version 8.1, not 8.0 as stated on the app.
My Samsung A5 (2017) cannot be updated from 8.0.0 -

But had to do that when I tested last time.

Running on Motorola G30, again no problems whatsoever.

Is this because they are getting so many requests maybe?
