axeman wrote:No I did not deliberately mislead anyone. All I did was put the VAT on the end of the bill, where it should be.
In fact you wrote:Just to put things slightly right, T+ only charge 1.42 p per unit not 1.491 and standing charge is £1.50 pr month, so £18 not £18.90
So the prices you quote are exclusive of VAT! (£18 + 5% VAT is £18.90 - though you knew that!)
The comparison with Powergen in the original post was like with like i.e. vat inclusive throughout - you have subsequently double charged VAT on the powergen price!

The original post was made on October 15th.
With the volatilty of the energy market it is difficult to keep abreast of changes - though the original argument still stands.
Powergen prices have altered since then, but anyone who was on Powergen Energyonline at that time will still be paying the rates originally quoted.

Axeman now admits to being a T+ rep! (After being challenged)
According to this forum rules this should have been declared:All Telecom Plus Distributers must declare it when they post
Anyone breaking the above rules will be barred first of all from this board
Having broken the rules, we get no apology - instead a suggestion that others are as bad as him!Maybe some other people on this forum should declare who they represent.

Axeman - if the original post on back on 15/10/04 was in any way incorrect, your colleagues would have taken great pleasure in correcting me!
The rest of us can see how you are trying to cloud the issue by quoting ex-vat prices.
This is an attempt to mislead - as is T+ advertising which the ASA has ruled on!0 -
You already know I'm a T+, I've stated it in the referrers section and you've asked my once already to which I replied.Yes I am a T+ Authorised Distributor as stated on my thread in the referrers section.
I do take your point about it being in every post though.
I'll stick to my last post, tell everyone to ignore you and myself .So my advice is, don't listen to all the put downs by certain people here, use the power companies own websites for comparisions or

I see this is still having loads of energy wasted on it.
Have we got anywhere with all of this hot air yet?
Has anything actually got any better?0 -
Nope Bounce.
I think it was going ok until I put my foot in it by getting all my calculations wrong with VAT. >:(
Should have kept my mouth shut. :-X
Best thing I can say is in my last post.
Of course, the other thing people could do, is look at T+ website, dig out own bills and compare unit price and standing charge.
Remember to add on £1.76 per month membership. But remember to take off 'cashback' at end of year. This is dependant on the no of services you apply for.

Just visiting
Why I bothered I don't know as every time I look at this page the Telecom Reps have nothing construtive to say as each and every time there excuse for a a company of which suppose to be the cheapest in the UK for both utililities is being run down by there own people by way of mis-selling/reporting.
Thank goodness Smartass is on the case Hip Hip Horray
now wheres that Billabong gone ;)
PS TP reps don't forget the next meeting free cheese sticks for everyone who attends.Rememember. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

Dear Axeman, my name is Alan John Howes also known as ajh, numerouno and I also am a TP Dist.
Those like ourselves know whats what so be content that you have found a way to secure your financial future by supplying compatitive utilities to those that want it.. do not waist your time on this forum as that time can be better employed by getting a few more happy customers.
Responding to someone who says he was a TP distributor but has since left, who incedently could not remember the date of E.D is NOT necesserily a TP Dist. More likely someone chucking out some bait in order to get a bite which he did which is then used to further this forums bile.
Those who wish to believe that TP are telling porkies are happy that they are correct on the other hand you believe (correctly) that TP are not so you're happy.
The are happy... you are happy so just stop giving them more ammunition to throw back at you.
Just think of the pain you will inflict on them when they have nothing to write about.
Alan John Howes ajh numerouno and probably something else which because of yet another senior moment in my life. (If you want to know what the last sentance is really about you will have to look up one of Smartasses ramblings... bye bye all till next time0 -
basically, it does not matter what reps say. energwatch state that you should always take what the reps say with a pinch of salt. the best way to do a comparison is to get the unit rates directly from the company and do a manual comparison based on consumption. then apply any applicable discounts, but if a yearly discount, do not apply it as these usually mean you have to stay with the company for a set period.
this means that you do not have to rely on any web sites and it will stop people from saying that their company is not represented fully because they do not pay (as this is a load of rubbish anyway).Beware the green?0 -
ajh (senior exec at T+) wrote advising his colleague Axeman at T+:Those who wish to believe that TP are telling porkies are happy that they are correct on the other hand you believe (correctly) that TP are not
So where does the ASA fit into this interesting philosophy?
They have said that T+ are guilty of misleading advertising when:
1) they claim they are the cheapest
2) they claim they are one of the country's biggest companies
3) they claim they supply free utilities for life

I don't know what your problem is but, looking at your links, I found 18 complaints for British Gas alone. So why you being so selective.
Also if you can get to it, look at the link below for all the complaints against the big companies. T+ not included.
These are all compaints about direct selling and advertising etc.
Even Powergen, which I notice you have promoted in one way or another around the forums at least 20 times.

yes but what you do not realise is that if you complain about a rep mis-selling, both the gaining supplier and the current supplier have complaints raised against them. it is standard procedure.Beware the green?0
