    when will you learn?

if stating you supply the cheapest gas and electric in uk isn't bad enough...

stating your customers will get free gas and electric!
    Beware the green?

His only other post (3 months ago), (which he had joined the forum to make), was in praise of a company which "promise the cheapest gas and elec in the country"

I got my TPlus bill yesterday and money was taken today.
There are no general postal problems in my area and all other bills arrive with plenty of time.

I am only willing to continue with it because
    1) I have e-mail access and get the e-billing
    2) I am very organised with my money
    3) I always have a reasonable balance in my account so late bills are unlikely to cause problems

So I completely agree with the comments about their services only being suitable for ardent money savers.

Anyone who doesn't keep a reasonable balance in their account or doesn't keep a close eye on their account, need not apply.

Bills have been continually late - so not a one-off problem.

    Absolutely correct and well said.

I have not visited this site for a long time simply because I no longer have the time to do so. I am merely passing at this moment...

I also spend the time that I have a great deal more productively - obviously more productively than the negative posters that frequent here.

As I have said in the past - reiterated by Lewis recently in this forum - it doesn't matter what any distributor, let alone happy customer says about TP, the negative frequenters simply won't take on board the fact that TP offer an exceptionally good service to many people AND save them money. The choice to use TP lies with the individual; not those intent on trying to preach to the those that don't know any different their own view on things, from their own experiences or not.

What is bizarre is the behaviour of certain people and their specific intent on trying to publicly discredit a very worthy, successful and respectable organisation by spending a considerable amount of time discussing minute detail where there are simply no reasons for doing so for the umpteenth time.

I am not saying or implying that TP are perfect. No individual or organisation is. Perfection is an ideal level that most people and organisations try to achieve; the paradox being that in many cases it is ordinary people (sometimes their own suppliers and customers) that prevent this level from being reached.

Anybody can dig up (what they see as) dirt on anything or anybody they like whenever they wish. Most of us don't do it because there are more productive ways to spend our days.

I could find fault with something every day, but I choose not to ponder over such issues. I concentrate on PUTTING THINGS RIGHT, rather than trying to find blame every second of every day.

You are all entitled to your opinion - and that is all it is. An opinion; not a statement of fact for all. If you have a specific query, complaint or problem, communicate with TP.

While distributors are always happy to help, we DO NOT work for TP and contracts are between TP and individual customers. Therefore distributors are unable to resolve contractual issues.

I am sorry to have mentioned TP on this site many, many months ago - well over a year ago in fact - simply because I thought this was a site dedicated to individuals that wanted to save money (like me) - rather than spend their precious days wasting what good time they have whinging about every possible little thing they can dig up.

Money Whinging Expert... now there's an idea...

Please do something more positive with your time, like TP distributors do.

    See you!

    ;) Mark E

PS: There is little point (as Lewis has said) in me replying to any questions as nothing will change within this forum, as has been proved time and time again. ???
No reliance should be placed on the above.
  • Firstly I would like to point out that I am a T+ authorised distributor.

All I am going to write here is my own personal experience of the company and its product.

I have now arranged quotes for about 20 people who have been using a whole range of different companies (eg. Powergen, Npower, British gas, Atlantic etc). What I have found is that without exception every single quote has come out cheaper than the existing supplier. Indeed when I put my own details in to the link from this site I find that Telecom Plus is the cheapest!

Maybe on a few unpopular tariffs we come out slightly more expensive, I don’t know and I have never come across one.

Apart from a few late bills I notice that there are no unsatisfied existing customers posting any replies on this site. I would like to hear from anyone who has had a bad experience of the company because all I have found are very happy customers and a completely transparent company who are happy to answer all questions clearly.

I would also like to point out that childish arguing amongst certain people on here will not result in a productive debate and hence cannot lead us to the truth which I am sure people reading this are far more interested in.
  • Here endeth the lesson. Finally!
  • Are you sure! ;D ;D

Hi all new to this site, but it is a great site!!!
I am also anew telecom plus customer, i did all the calculations and they did come up the cheapest for my situation. Although i do have one gripe the membership fee, ok you get the cashback at the end of the year, but all i take out is gas nad lecy with them, so it will cost me £8 a year as for only taking two utilities with them for the £1.50 a month you only get £10 cash back.
But as a company up to now they seem very proffesional and have been very helpful, (unlike my previous supplier) but i annually check i am getting the cheapest so we will see next year.
  • Hi webbit
up to now they seem very proffesional and have been very helpful

Did they point the following out to you:-
it will cost me £8 a year as for only taking two utilities

The membership actually costs £21.12 for 12 months including VAT, so if you deduct the £10 discount for having 2 services from them the cost for a year for membership is over £11.

    BUT:
i annually check i am getting the cheapest so we will see next year.

The £10 discount is subject to clawback if you leave them before you've been a total of 15 months with them on 2 services.

(They have changed prices twice this year, so you might want to check more frequently!)
