it’s good to hear from you again. I’d assumed you were busy with kitchen etc renovations but seems not 😐 Sounds like Mr LH is busy with the caravan.

I'd say get on with the kitchen, do the patio in better weather - kitchens don't come immediately, they need planned then ordered then they arrive and for a few days the kitchen stuff can be squashed into the conservatory too. Book a few nights into a local hotel and enjoy the peace in the evenings, oversee the kitchen installation in daytime then you can enjoy placing your treasured stuff, your useful stuff, your new stuff into a beautiful new kitchen. 😀

Thanks daisy. I intended to do the kitchen first but as I cant guaruntee how long it will take Mr LH to clear the conservatory it will have to wait. If we stuff everything from the kitchen in the conservatory we wont get the new units etc through to the kitchen which would be inconvenient to say the least. It could come through the front door but due to where we live this would involve taking everything up a narrow pathe to our front door and the chances of parking at the end of the pathe is remote. I know that sounds weird but we have no road at the front of the house only a footpath.
So as to be able to get on with something I think at least getting started on the patio would be best if the workman thinks its viable.

Evening all
I am still wading through everyones diaries. I cant read for too long as my eyes start watering and drooping but I am getting there slowly. Writing is so bad as is less intense.
A peaceful weekend doing very little until about 9.30pm last night when a neighbour knocked on our door to tell us their cat was shut in out garage. The door has an auto closure so we dont go outside to shut it. We are opening as often as possibe as the rain is seeping through the walls. (Sorry I cant remember if I have said that). Not much can be done until the wall dries out which at the moment is a long way off. We think part of the problem is the wall needs repointing. Anyway the cat was duly released at high speed - the cat not us. I was outside today and and siad neighbour asked if we would prefer biscuits or chocolate as a thank you which was very kind but I declined saying it was totally unnecessary as all we had to do is open the door which was no trouble and it was us that had shut the cat in.
Credit card has been paid off in full as we have been doing for some time. Next years garden bin collection (£70) has been paid. I think that is a lot for the few times I actually use it but it keeps the peace with Mr LH who gets stroppy with garden waste in the car.
I have booked in the scooter for servicing but there is a 4 week wait. They will get in touch soon to book it in.
Tomorrows job is to sort house insurance. I dont think our current insurer wants us any more as the premium is going from approx £250 to £750 for the year. Thats fine if they dont like our money I am quite happy to take it elsewhere.
I am sure there is something else but I cant remember what at the moment so I will say have a good evening.

make sure you get the pull out shelves in your new kitchen
They are a complete life changer for me as I no longer have to kneel on the floor to see what is at the back of each shelf.

I agree with Debs on pull out shelves/drawers. Even ones deep enough to store large pans. Over half my bottom cupboards are unusable with any ease. When I get my new kitchen (which I keep putting off) they will be more usable. I still will struggle with the top of the top cupboards but you can't have everything.
