Did you get a coat ?

I'm almost finished Patrick grants book 'Less' and this is his company. Everything actually made in UK and other than some of the raw materials coming from Aus and the like its sourced as much from here as possible. Theres a couple of coats in black. One is a wrap tie style, probably so they fit more shapes and sizes but it possibly could be changed to a different fastening if you liked them.
I like the ethics of his company after reading the book.

Sorry Daisy I have hardly been on here the last 10 days and when I have it was only to catch up on others.daisy_1571 said:Did you get a coat ?

Yes I did get a coat. Not my ideal one but it is fine for what I want it for. Strangely my dd has been looking for one like the one I really wanted and she couldnt find it either.

Evening allSorry been missing for a while but either I have been doing stuff or havent felt too well.We have bought a new to us car which was delivered last Friday. Mr LH is having a little bit of trouble getting used to all the technology in it. Things have changed a lot since our old 30 year old car. I havent actually been in it yet and to be honest he has only made a couple of short trips. Traffic is horrible at the moment and combined with road works including one very big project which is causing major holdups there isnt much incentive to go anywhere. Our old car has been scrapped as he didnt want any hassle and it wasnt worth much anyway. The folding caravan arrived today which has pleased us. A sleepless night worrying about it not fitting through the garage were unfounded although it did seem to be quite tight. My only complaint is it dominates the garden so I am try to think how to disguise it a bit without obstructing access to it. Our garden isnt very big so the usual trellis or similar wouldnt work as it would only leave about 12 foot of space for my plants. At least at this time of year the garden isnt doing much anyway and as much of the garage is still in the conservatory we arent using that either. Too cold out there anyway.Minor Christmas prep is done including wrapping presents. Much of the food is bought which other than last minute stuff will be done this week. The tree will go up Friday or Saturday. I am always very late as has always been a tradition in my family. Our oldest dgd and her partner visited yesterday which was lovely. They brought their 13 month old border collie which we thoroughly enjoyed. It reminded me why we would never have a collie pup. He didnt stop all the time he was here but was very good except throwing his water bowl which still had water in it not that it mattered and made us laugh. Our friend with the labrador puppy visited last week and cought my face with his dew claw. My lip bled a lot and it has been a bit painful but it wasnt deliberate so he is forgiven.Had a hair trim last week but was a bit disappointed as it wasnt as good as usual but my hairdresser had been up most of the night as their car car was broken into and multiple attempts to steal it.Two loads of washing done and is now drying in the bedroom with the window slightly open.My Christmas cactus is in full bloom which is pleasing and there is a sorry looking rose in the garden. In the front garden I think I will have a nice display of wild garden which I told ny gardener to leave as the flowers are pretty.I had my latest appointment with the neurologist and we discussed having steroids again which I have continued to refuse. I know I will possibly feel better but the side effects are often worse than the condition and as generally my myasthenia symptoms arent too bad I will continue to refuse them. Breathing is still a problem and the neuro still doesnt think it is caused by myasthenia due to the way it presents so the search continues for an answer.I think thats everything for now. Have a good evening.6

Seasons Greeting/ Yuletide blessings/ Happy Christmas to all. I hope that covers most if not all.A busy week. My dd rang on the 20th to say my Christmas present is out of stock so as she works until and over Christmas there will be nothing from her and my sil. Just one of those things.Mr LH has spent a couple of days fiddling with the caravan installing 12v sockets. It is now to cold for him to cross the threshhold.Presents all delivered including money for family which is what they prefer.5 dozen mince pies made on Saturday as presents for friends and family. Reminder to self for next year. Dont try to do all 5 dozen in one go as exhausted after making them.Tried to collect the missing half of one of my prrescriptions on Monday. They said they were doing them so went to sm for shopping. Went back and they hadnt got them.
but they had them at the other branch. Said I would go in today and could they have them ready so I only had to pop in and collect. They did have them but I had to wait while the did them. Oh well I tried.Just as I was going out at 8.45am one of the neighbours from across the roaf hammered on the front door to tell me the lady next door hadnt opened her curtains for a couple of days and he hadnt got her phone number. I texted her and while I was out she replied to say she has covid. Checked she didnt need anything but she said not. She is a single lady the same age as me and has no family locally. I was a bit worried and was getting ready to call the police for a welfare check when I got home.Although Christmas is a normal day for us I am looking forward to doing nothing tomorrow other than cooking dinner. Roast Duck this year. A book and rubbish TV day I think. My walks will happen as usual but I doubt Mr LH will go out as is will be cold and windy.I have spent far too much this Christmas so will have to budget carefully in January. On the positive side I havent spent my nectar points which should cover anything we need for the next week.Thats it for this evening. Have a good one. For anyone interested Santa is, according to Norads Sata tracker, on his way to Juba in S. Sudan.5 -

That's nice they have a specific gift they want to get you, I'm always happy to drag out people giving me presents 😁
Well done you and neighbour for checking on neighbour, glad she's 'just' got covid
What a palaver with prescription, still at least you have it which is the important bit!
Dinner, telly, book, and walks sounds like a fabulous way to spend the day, hope you have a very merry Christmas enjoying those 🥂1 -
Enjoy your lovely quiet day tomorrow
