Unfortunately the theatre does not have a cloakroom and to be fair even if it did it wouldn't be accessible to me as being disabled my entrance is at the side of the theatre so I don't have stairs to climb. As access members I don't have the chance to get programmes, memorabilia etc. it.is a point of discontent amongst the disabled theatre users.Blackcats said:The sellout performance of the Greatest Showman requires a cloak. Leave it in the aptly named theatre cloakroom/coat store during the show.
I am still waiting for the blanket as there is a delay from the courier but am looking forward to getting it.1 -
That's awful @ladyholly I hadn't thought of that.
I used to take my cousin to the theatre/shows/stadiums but now I think of it there was always at least 2 of us with her so if need be one of us could go get programmes snacks etc and the other could stay with her.

Evening allThank you for your comments re the lack of programmes at the theatre. It is especially galling as there are usually three staff at the access entrance but it is what it is. They will bring food and drink to your seat if you order it on line the day of the performance. I supect that because it is a healthy profit for them.I have made a decision about the cloak. I am not going to get one. I dont think I would use it much and would rather spend the money on a good quality smart winter coat. I havent had one for years relying on cheap puffer type coats from the sm. I only have one for the winter and and one rain jacket for the summer so I think that is a much better option for me as the only place I go is the theatre and the occasional shopping trip to town.I had a letter from the solicitor today returning a cheque I had sent. When he sent the HMRC IT form he also sent a bill.so I assumed he wanted paying. Apparently he didnt as he is still holding some money so I am a bit better off tonight.Tragedy yesterday. The washing machine has broken down naturally in the middle of the cycle so had to bail it out. I am still trying to get the washing that was in it dry. Putting it on the rack in the garden and then forgetting it wasnt a good idea as it poured overnight and ended up wtter than when I put it out. It is now in the shower where I can lift it out as needed. The repair man is coming on Thursday and I am hoping it is something he can do immediately. My blanket arrived today but I dont want to put it on the bed until I change the sheets so havent opened it yet.Our draft wills came Friday so rang today for an appointment to sign them. The secretary was off so they couldnt make an appointment.
I hope she never goes on long term sick leave or they will fall apart. Will try again tomorrow. Have a good evening.7 -
Nice to have the cheque returned, but shame about the washing machine!
Sounds like a nice compromise to get yourself a lovely coat instead."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -
Evening allNot happy with the will solicitor. Every time I ring there is no one available to make an appointment for signing it. I did however get very stroppy today and they have made one. Unfortunately I forgot that is the day the missing internal door is being replaced so I have emailed them for a different day and hope that email is more proactive than the phone. On the other hand the washing machine is fixed. The impellar was blocked by a some fluff from my fluffy jumper. I knew I should have put it in a pillow case but I didnt think. Lesson learned. The weather here has been dreadful with heavy rain all day. Mr LH is stressing that the water is going under the door and coming through the walls where the bricks have become porous. He knew it was like that and would have been sensible to coat the wall during the summer when they had dried out. Another leasson learned as they wont dry out now until at least spring.A friend called for coffee yesterday but other than that nothing to report.Usual sm shops including today when I got rather wet waiting for the bus. Too wet for the scooter.Have a good evening.6

Evening allMIA as I havent done a lot. It was very cold out this morning with what my Mum called a lazy wind so a short walk as Ilost any enthusiasm very quickly. Did catch an early bus to go to MR T and get the weekly shop.I am dreading the gas and electricity bill as Mr LH is turning the heaating on at a drop of a hat otherwise known as when the thermometer shows 18 degrees. He feels the cold so badly whereas I dont. In the evening it is a relief to go for my walk so I can cool down a bit.Spent a fair bit of time on the phone with a friend whose 2 year old grandson was rushed into hospital with possible appendix problems. I am still not sure what it turned out to be as one dr said it is a bad virus infection and another said they had removed his appendix. Surely they know what has been done!!The tool sorting has come to a grinding halt and the dining table where the Christmas tree goes is full of stuff so we may not have one this year. Fortunately our tree doesnt go up until a few days before Christmas so there is time. The will solicitor rang and a new appointment has been made for the 4th Decmber.I am part way through writing a christmas food shopping list which will be fairly modest. I do have ponts to spend from Mr T and Nectar so that saves about £60.I also have gluwein left from last year so wont need to buy any. It is very comforting after a cold walk in the evening after a walk with or now without a dog. I think tonight might be the first glass. And thats enough wittering for this evening. Have a good one.7

Ladyholly you are so sensible saving money throughout the year for Christmas even if it’s just points.
Luckily my mum gets the food (she says I might as well spend it on you now rather than the taxman get some of it). I just buy presents. My attitude is buy early, buy often.Credit card 2200

I do also have a savings account for Christmas which works quite well with all my points.itsthelittlethings said:Ladyholly you are so sensible saving money throughout the year for Christmas even if it’s just points.
