Winter clothing made an appearance this morning, also got the dehumidifier out as the house gets damp when the weather changes, not put it on yet but signs are that it will be soon. The houses about 3 doors up never do, think it’s just where our house is built, we’re in abit of a dip.:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.002

Blimey how are you in short sleeves? I'm in vest and long sleeve top and jumper and adding a huge cardi in the evenings. (I am also wearing bottoms, to be clear 😁)I am glad to hear you are wearing bottoms as well.I am quite a warm person but I did buy a cardi this morning which I can wear for my walks as a coat is a bit too warm for me at the moment. It is also warmer in the west country than the south east. When I was about 11 we went to London on a trip and my mum was forced to buy me a new coat as mine simply wasnt warm enough there although fine here.If its any comfort Mr LH is in thermals and warm jumers.

Evening allWe cleaned the pond out on Saturday after Mr LH tried to clear some weed out of it and found there was much more than he thought. He then decided the pond should be filled in as cleaning it out is getting too much for us. He wanted to re design the garden so he can get the car in it (not the sports car) however by yesterday he decided he didnt want to lose the pond and rockery so all back to normal. I have suggested we get someone to clean it for us in the spring which he thought is a good idea.Instead I suggested we get the patio which has paving slabs at present re laid with bricks like the area in front of the garage this can also carry on to the path. At the moment this is acceptable to him but I have given him to the end of the week to come up with something different. He does like to mull things over before action whereas once I have decided something I will go ahead with it.There are advantages to both ways but I do find it frustrating at times. This will also make a reasonable size job for some one rather than trying to get a very small job of the path done.No money spent today but I did buy a cardigan yesterday which I am quite pleased with as it is a longish one and actually has butttons to do it up. Most dont and then they flap around and get in the way. It is quite warm so I am using it on my early morning and 9pm walks while the weather isnt too cold.Have a good evening.3

Evening allA nice run out to a locsl garden centre yesterday with no roof (the car not the garden centre) to buy filters for the pond . We do lead an exciting life.
Today we went for our usual walk and when we got home there was a message from the decorator saying he could start the hall, stairs and landing on Monday. A bit of a panic as we needed to buy wallpaper so a trip to the orange diy shop. Some difficulty getting the quantity of rolls we needed but found something eventually. Not a great choice but needs must and Mr LH wasnt inclined to go anywhere else.Very annoyed with him at the moment as he is having a melt down about fb. He uses my account and always has done. I have been watching some stuff and as usual fb go mad on putting similar things on my feed which he is finding annoying saying it is a waste of his time lookng at fb. Easy solution - dont. I am going to see if I can set up a separate account. Not sure if I have to produce id which might be a problem using another name.Checked the bank account earlier to find I was overdrawn on the joint account. Cheeky so & so's were including the car insurance premium which isnt due until the 5th. I also booked him 2 festivals for next year so it has been an expensive week.Thtas my lot for now. Have a good evening7 -
Evening allA nice phone call from the solicitor on Friday wanting my bank details so they can pay the inheritance. Hopefully it will hit my account during the week. There are still a few bits to tie up but I think the most stressful 18 months I have ever had is largely over. I have made an apointment for will making for the end of the month. This was the first appointment they had so not too impressed already. We haave never had one as Mr LH wouldnt do one but I think he has realised that we cant last for ever plus we will have assets worth leaving.Today has been spent clearing the hallway and washing the paintwork ready for tomorrow. It amazing how much there was to move. I am now officially shattered. I think this evenings walk may be a short one.On that note have a good evening.5

Thank goodness for that. Fantastic news 🥳 We did our will from home where they come round to see you. It was very straightforward as it’s just a mirror will then 50/50 between DS and DD. Only asset is the house and whatever money there might be left in the bank at the time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
