That's warmed me cockles hearing that the pier is being saved, very pleased that since the lottery is being uncooperative with buying me somewhere to live, that it's at least doing good work elsewhere 😊https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Evening allI am ok'ish thank you beanielou. Not been on here as not feeling great both mentally and physically. I am still waiting for the solicitor to do whatever he has to do so that is still hanging over my head even though as far as I know it is only the estate account left to deal with. Mr LH keeps going on about it and telling me what I should be doing and saying to him but as he had two big operations at the start of summer and and a 2 week holiday he is very behind with work. I have told Mr LH I would get in touch a week on monday as that will be a week after his stated timetable but I am still being lectured.Usual essential houseworky things mostly done but nothing extra so the house isnt great.I have bought some new trousers on line. £8 a pair so that probably gives away where from. I fine they are fine for everyday but want to get a couple of nicer pairs for going to the theatre.I have tried to book a theatre trip for next year but the web site isnt recognising my access log so have emailed them. I just hope there are access seats left.Thats about it for now.I hope all are ok and have a good evening.

I hope you hear back soon, you need a break from chasing house stuff!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Evening allFeeling a bit better today but the diet has completely gone to pot. Did do a bit of exercise though plus my usual walks. People keep asking if we are getting another dog which is starting to get annoying but we know so many people with dogs who are curious.Ironing done including some things I found screwed in in Mr LHs wardrobe. I have checked his shirts and got rid of a couple that were stained and had cigarette burns on them. I still need to do his trousers as I am sure there are some that are in very poor condition. I cant do his long sleeved shirts until i can find some that are suitable for him. He is quite fussy about them and if he doesnt like them they will just sit in the wardrobe.Started to go to do my main shop at Mr T but the coolant alarm on the car wouldnt go off as the sennsor is corroded so a trip to Sain****y was in order as it is nearer. I couldnt stand the noise to go much further.A bit more work in the garden and noted the weeds on the patio and paths are rampant again so will be out with the vingar weedkiller again tomorrow.Have a good evening.5

Evening allOut this morning to try to get a shirt for Mr LH. I have got one but not sure whether he will like it. It is waiting for him to try it on. I also got a couple of tops for me and a pair of jeans for him. Also spent a small fortune in Boots. Not a cheap day.Usual walks plus a few minutes exercise.Vacuumed throughout the house while Mr LH was out playing with the car.We have not had to put the heating on yet unless mr LH has sneaked it on after I have gone to bed. One advatage of living in the west country.I had a letter from the solicitor with a form to sign about reclaiming some of the inheritance tax. He thinks HMRC may not repay it all as it will be a fair bit but I think there are good reasons for selling the house at quite a bit less than the original valuation. They may ask for a statement regarding this but we will see and hope for the best. At least the solicito has actually done something.Off to read my bood.Have a good evening.5

Good news that there may be some refund, and that solicitor has reappeared.
Hope Mr LH likes the shirt.
What was the small fortune in Boots on?! Hopefully it involved some nice bits you'll enjoy.
I expect you have an advantage card but if not, keep the receipts and go and get one, it all adds up!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Evening allUnfortunately the Boots trip was for boring stuff like moisturiser, and hair conditioner. I dont know if Mr LH likes the shirt because so far he is ignoring it. By the time he tries it on it will probably be too late to reurn it. Having said that he doesnt really care what he wears.Spent a couple of hours with a friend and her puppy which was good. He is a mouther so the experience can be painful if he catches you. He got chucked off the sofa twice when he was trying to bite my hand. The bed changed and 3 loads of washing done. 2 at 30 degrees and the sheets at 40. I dont think it will all dry by tomorrow as the weather is distinctly autumnal today. Mr LH put the heating on this afternoon.
I am still in short sleeved t shirts but I dont think it will be for much longer.
No money spent which is good.Nothing else of any note that I can think of.2 -
Tell Mr LH he needs to try it on or that's x money gone from the inheritance next time he wants to fiddle with the car!
Blimey how are you in short sleeves? I'm in vest and long sleeve top and jumper and adding a huge cardi in the evenings. (I am also wearing bottoms, to be clear 😁)https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase
