Land Registry is notoriously dreadfully backlogged and takes years to do anything, I wouldn't worry, but tell your solicitor to contact them as they can massively 'hurry' cases if there are mortgage offers involved in them sorting something. I know this as same situation and we're not even blimmin selling! Keep focused on your gain of nice new kitchen and bakery subscription so you wake up to a fancy muffin every day as befits a lady 😁😊

    Evening all

I keep forgetting to report a 1lb weight gain last week.  :s The only reason I can think of is being less active than usual due to the heat. I dnt think my food intake was higher except for a small bar of chocolate to cheer me up after Bears euthanasia.

Out to Matalan but thought everything looked either far too young for me, nothing in the right size or looked cheap and nasty. Disappointing but we have so few clothes shops locally there isnt much choice except the sm. I think my taste is completely out of sync with fashion. The nearest place with a decent slection of shops is a shopping centre north of Bristol but it would take about 2hours to get there on the bus. There is no direct service unfortunayely so would involve a change and a vertain amount of walking to get to the right stop. I also hate the place anyway as it is all indoors which I find very claustrophobic. I will have to risk buying on line and hope things fit and I dont hate the fabrics. Anyway it was a cheap outing as I only spent £2 on books from a charity shop.

Enquiries arrived from the solicitor. Southern water are causing a problem again s they insist the house isnt connected to mains drainage. It is and has been for about 15 years. My buyer is happy that all is ok and he has told his solicitor to ignore that as I had discussed it with him and he has checked the manhole for himself so I dont know why it came up. Hopefully everything else will be ok.

I was wrong when I said the travellers had left things tidy as our local lady who volunteers at litter picking spent over 4 hours clearing up after them. The council have collected the rubbish she collected but the men  stood and watched her with no offer of help. They need to get the enviromental preople out to clear the excrement in the meantime people have been warned to keep their dogs away. Apparently human poo is toxic to dogs. It was supposed to be cleared yesterday but didnt appear.

Garden has been watered with the watering can. The rain we had yesterday filled the water butt up quite a bit.

    Have a good evening

as basil fawlty once said "a satisfied customer?   We should have him stuffed !"  Same applies to a sensible buyer, very rare species indeed

My buyer is lovely and very sensible. We are keeping in quite close touch and he has done a couple of favours for us.

    Evening all

Not a very exciting couple of days. I am keeping up with walking although I am tending to do different routes than I would do with Bear. I think I have told most people now and they have been very sympathetic and I have been surprised by how many people have been through the same with their dogs or know someone who has.

The first question most people ask is will we get another but at the moment I simply dont know. Our age is against us not to mention my mobility issues. It would have to be the right dog with very little compromise.

On house news everyone in the chain is pretty well ready to sign contracts if the answers to my buyers are deemed satisfactory. I undestand my solicitor sent them today so according to the estate agentcontact exchange could be the week after next. The only fly in the ointment is that they all seem to be on holiday either the end of July or the beginning of August which will delay things.

    Usual houseworky things.

I have received the acknowledgement of the cancellation of Bears insurance plus a letter from the insurance company offering counselling. A lovely thought.

Credit card has been paid in full and prescription ordered.

Mr LH is putting more stuff from the garage into the conservatory. The only problem I can see is that it wont go back until he gets his classic car (he has decided against restoring our original one as it will take at least a year to get it done properly so is planning on getting something different that I might be able to get in and out of). Then he will be too busy polishing it or whatever he plans on doing. He is talking about a trip to a specialist car place to look at what he wants and for me to try it. It could be interesting and I dont think Lucie Clayton will approve of whatever method I have to use to get in and out especially if the roof is up.

    Have a great evening.

Fingers very tightly crossed for you this all gets resolved very soon!
Good that you're going for walks and that people are sharing their experiences with you.
Bit annoying of Mr LH but glad he's feeling brighter enough to be looking forward to something. Don't forget that it's your inheritance though so you can absolutely demand a one car out before next car in system!

All sounding very positive on the house sale front 🤞

I think I’ve mentioned before a neighbour who got another dog after losing his aged 92 and still walks the new dog every day 3 years later.
