How lovely to get B's fur.  I lost two of my cats within a week of each other 5 years ago this month & did not get any of their fur.

Hopefully there's an end in sight for the house now.

    Evening all

Our loung has reached 30 degrees and no hope of it cooling until the temperature drops a fair bit. I am doing all the reccomended things but it is just getting hotter and hotter. Not feeling brilliant with the heat and certainly wont be walking this evening. If I am awake before the temp rses too much I will go in the morning.

Only a couple of jobs done. Garden given a good soaking. We are lucky here in that we tend not to have shortages. Deep fat fryer has been cleaned and a few items ironed. The washing I did yesterday put away.

The missing parcel has been delivered according to tracking so just waiting for the buyer to close the case. I hope she does that.

I will only believe the house goes through when it actually happens.

Now going to read my book. Have a good evening.

My bedroom was 30 at 8.30 this morning & I am avoiding it as I do not want to find that it is at 32 at bedtime.  I have managed to keep downstairs at around 28.  I refuse to do anything at all.  If it doesn't cool down at all I may just put my head under the cold tap.  I suspect tea may well be an aldi mint choc lolly.

Put your feet in a bowl of cool water- it really works at cooling the whole body down
used to do it at work under my desk 😂

I filled the bath with a low level of cold water and left it there.  Every now and again I went and stood in it for a couple of minutes, it helped a lot!

Glad the parcel has been delivered. You can always go on to live chat and ask them to close the case for you.

Decided to go into town this morning to see about my birthday present for me but couldnt find anything I wanted. Probably because our town is now useless for buying anything much. I will look elsewhere.

2 parcels posted aand one not paid for yet plus a bid on an item that ends on Sunday.

It might be cooler outside but it is still 28 in the sitting room which is not good. though we have had the curtains open for part of the day so not sitting in gloom.

Money withdrawn from ebay and put into savings to make a start on replacing the funds for the vet bill. .

The travellers on the green are still there despite the locals who live nearer were told by the council they would be gone on Friday and them saying they would go today. I assume it will now  go to court and they will be evicted by the bailiffs. They ar keeping the field tidy at the moment other than using the bushes as toilets but it will be interesting to see the mess they leave behind when they finally go. They are at least tethering their dogs in the shade.

Apparently there were 19 people rescued by the RNLI and the coast guard over the weekend from our sinking mud on the beach. There are loads of warning signs but people always think they know better. I havent heard of any cars getting stuck this year yet but no doubt there will be even if I have missed them already.

Nothing else for now. Have a good evening.

    Evening all

A housework day today so nothing exciting. I do seem to have a lot of extra time now.

I went for a short walk first thing which I havent done for a few days due to the heat. While I was out I met with an aquaintance who asked where Bear was. I explained and she ended up crying which made me feel somewhat guilty at upsetting her.

With the doors and windows open this morning I managed to get the temperature down to 22 which is far more comfortable though I think its gone back up a little now as we have had to shut the door due to rain. Hooray rain some of it quite heavy.

A bit of a panic today when we heard that amonst the queries from our buyers solicitor there are two parcels of land which are pending at the land registry. One is the development land which I knew about but a copy of the deed of transfer is at my soliditor which will hopefully be sufficient and we think the other is a tiny bit of land that my bil gave to his neighbour so he could get his caravan on his drive. This was registered at the land registry so I dont know why that is still pending. I am hoping thats all it is as I really dont want any more hassle. There are some other questions which the solicitor is sending me tomorrow. Remaind me to never sell a house again.

Main shop done this afternoon and also a trip to the farm shop for some bacon and black pudding. It was just about on budget which is good.

It is pouring down at the moment so no evening walk tonight. The good news for today is the travellers have been evicted although they did leave a lot of rubbish behind which has been collected already and the missing posts that allowed access have been replaced. I am sure everyone will sleep better tomight. We had somebody open our back gate one night which has never happene before. They will have seen the lights on as Mr LH was still up so left with no problem.

Well thats my day. Have a good evening.

Travellers were recently evicted from a local field and they left a right mess behind. Then they wonder why they’re not welcomed. Next up locally is a travelling fair which results in neighbours being extra cautious about locking doors and gates.
