15months to debt free - I hope

I'm glad you had a bright spot to your birthday with the visit and gifts. The steak can wait until you feel more up to it. That's a lovely tradition to leave Bear's bed out. When I was a child the family dog passed away and we were sitting watching TV a few nights later - both my mum and I heard a tap on the back door and my mum said go and let her in then realised what she'd said. The dog always went out in the garden for a wander round at night then tapped on the door to be let back in.

Evening all

Gosh its hot. (Just in case you havent noticed.)

Not much being done due to the weather though I do need to go shopping tomorrow to get the rest of the shopping I couldnt get  on the scooter. It will be a very early trip mainly due to the weather but also I can get home before the travellers are really out and about.

Friends called for coffee which was lovely as I thought she would be angry with us about Bear as he was found by her and she really loved him. She was fine about it and understood why we had to do it.

I forgot to say earlier in the week I had lost 2lbs when I weighed myself on Monday. This week is a little off track and had small bar of chocolate on Monday evening. Mr LH has a bottle of whisky which he is gradually getting through. 

I have  a buyer saying her parcel hasnt arrived. What a surprise. She asked me to delay sending it and then I asked if she minded it being posted on Tuesday due to the Bear situation. She agreed so it was posted as promised on Tuesday. At 9am she opened a case stating it hasnt arrived. I have messaged her but I can see her denying it was sent and me having to refund her. Fortuantely it was a lot. 

The good thing about the weather is no money has been spent and as Mr LH isnt really eating food isnt being used. 

I am having trouble with my Ipad. Mainly because I dont know what I am doing so will have to ring dd for help. I really didnt want to become the annoying oldie that cant work technology but it looks as though I will be.

I think you will soon get used to your iPad.  You will probably just use relatively few of its functions once you've explored it a bit more.

If there's something you aren't sure about, use your old one to ask the question then follow it on the new one?  Take notes if that makes it easier till you get the hang of it.  I know my mum likes youtoob (or itoob as she calls it lol) as she can slow videos down or pause and rewind till she gets the hang of a new technique or way of doing something

Sorry about the annoying buyer, have you got tracking?  If it was posted on Tuesday, it should arrive in the next day or so, so you can just upload the tracking and close the case.

Hope the ipad issues resolve.

Thank you for the suggestions. I rang dd but she was at work and by the time she rang back I had sorted out the problem. Just not quite sure how.

Yes there is tracking but only from 2nd class so they may or may not update it. I am hoping the buyer will let me know. I have asked them to.

Evening all

Bear is hope and is now with our other dogs. In the bag that his box was in there was a tiny envelope saying keepsake. I opened it and it was a little bit of his hair. It really caught me as we have never had that before so we both ended up in tears. 

It has been a very long day. I woke at 2.30am and have been awke ever since. Well except for a couple of short naps this afternoon.

It did mean I was in the sm just after they opened at 7am which meant it was less hot and I didnt risk coming acroos any any travellers as they were all still in their caravans. They were supposed to move today but havent and show no sign of doing so. Apparently there was a fight this morning and a car windscreen was broken but it was a travellers car so no impact on the locals. Its usually fairly quiet round here but this is winding everyone up especially as they are using the bushes around the field as a toilet. 

I spoke to our purchaser this afternoon and they have been told completion on the house should be on or about the 13th August. I have heard nothing so have emailed my useless solicitor for an update. Naturally I got an out of office until Monday reply. Even the estate agent hasnt told me the searches are back depite her saying she would talk to the buyers soliicitor yesterday. Why am I paying these people.

My friend recently lost her dog and the vet gave her some of his hair. She and her daughter had bracelets made containing some of his ashes.
