And health visitors are worrried about children having a full cup of milk before bed. Wrong thinking somewhere.
That doesn't seem to be true according to the nhs website. They recommend at least 350ml a day for toddlers.  Maybe they are trying to get them to drink more in the day and less at night which does make sense.

What i wrote is exactly what my friends daughter was told approx a week ago. Maybe you are are correct in they want it drunk during the day but that is not what she reported to her mother or presumably understood. I will enquire further when I see her.

    Evening all

I am very worried the house sale is going to fail. It is all to do with the land resistry not yet having registered the sale of the development land. My buyers solicitor wants that sorted out before exchange of contracts. The problem is my solicitor cant apply for expidited registration and the land sale solicitor ihas not replied to requests to do it and is now on holiday.  All the people in the chain are wanting to exchange on the 11th August but I cant see this will be sorted by then. I am so stressed and fed up with the whole affair. I am being nagged by the estate agent though I dont know what I am supposed to do. I have emailed the land agent and the land sale solicittor (thats how I know he is away) but other than that I am now the bad guy in the chain but am stuck and at the mercy of others.

Mr LH has sort of done the guttering in that we have Imperial measurement guttering and it is now all metric. Not a problem except our garage is joned to the neighbours and they dont want to do theirs. He has patched the broken bit with a new piece and glued it in with the right adhesive. A trip to the diy shop to return the unused bits we bought and buy the adhesive. While we were there someone collapsed and we were chucked out of the garden centre where it was located.. CPR was being given and 2 ambulances turned up while we walked to the car. Obviously we dont know what happened after we left to go to a different place for what we needed but it wasnt looking good. Adhesive bought at a different shop as we didnt know how long we would have to wait.

3 parcels packed and posted this morning and there is another one to go on Wednesday. There is thunder in the forecast for tomorrow so it will have to wait.

Not the best day I have ever had.

    Have a good evening.

So sorry to read this @ladyholly.
Shocking that no one can expedite the land sale without the land sale solicitor and that no one is deputising for him.

I think the only thing you can do is phone the company and ask for the person in charge of that solicitor's work or their boss/manager.  Then calmly tell them to please get this sorted today otherwise any delays or if your sale falls through you will be seeking compensation from them.

    Maybe that would work?

I don't think anyone is thinking of you as the bad guy, people just want these things to go through with as little fuss as possible.   A phone call tomorrow might sort it all out and the sale will still go through.   Yiuve still got a fortnight after all.

Keeping my fingers crossed it all goes fine

Unfortunately I don't know the name of the company only the individual solicitor. I have email his secretary who is named on the out of office email but whether the land registry will act in time is another matter. I am keeping my fingers crossed but not very hopeful at this stage

I really hope the house is sorted for you soon, that's ridiculous.   Could you google the name of the solicitor and find out the company that way?

Is the solicitor company not on the email?  You can often get a clue from the email address.

Keeping everything crossed this house sale will go through very soon. What a nightmare!
