Well done on the walking.  I hope you don't have to wait too long for everything to be wound up, you've been waiting long enough!

    Evening all

I hope you all manage to keep cool over the next few days. Horrible heatwaves.

I have written to my local councillor as yet again our recycling hasnt been collected. It wouldnt be so bad if our council didnt collect food waste so our bin is now stinking as there are the cores of kidneys and some rather nasty spinach which I completely forgot about and was in a cupboard not the fridge. I dont envy the collectors assuming they collect this week. The excuse I have been given is that there is a shortage of HGV drivers. The garden waste is completely round the twist. On the website it said ours wouldnt be collected. It was! Then this afternoon I received a meassage via the council app telling me it wouldnt be collected tomorrow but put it out anyway and they would come on Wednesday.

Usual small shop this morning and then very little else to report.

Mr LH is driving me nuts going on and on about different cars he wants. I dont really care as long as it doesnt cost over the limit I have given him. The solicitor has agreed to release enough for his car on completion day and then perhaps he will stop telling me all about different ones.

I am at the theatre on Friday - completion day so if the solicitor wants me after about 2.15 he will be out of luck. I am going to instruct him to ring our landline after that time and that I authorise Mr LH to answer any queries. Hopefully it will be done before then.

Have a good evening. Incidentally it is sort of raining here but not enough to settle the dust..

A grape addition isn't bad. They are mostly water. At least you aren't addicted to pain du chocolate. (I secretly think I am).

    Evening all

My last addiction was Milky bars and not the small ones. I dont know why I am finding things a bit easier now but I am just going with it . I still sometimes struggle to get past the chocolate in the sm but as I am looking forward to a new wardrobe it will be worth it.

Hairdresser this morning was ok. Bought some flowers for our friends whose dog was pts yesterday and they called in this afternoon. They are absolutely heart broken.

Laundry put away but no ironing done so thats a job for tomeorrow.

I have dropped the sugar bowl again but this time it broke. It was only a pyrex one but I am quite upset as we have had it since we got married over 50 years ago. I will try to find another one but not hopeful as it wasnt a popular design.

Garden watered using the last of what was in the water butt. No rain in the forecast for at least a week so will have to save the waste water from the kitchen.

I have received the invoice from the solicitor ready for Fridays completion and have let him know I wont be available most of the afternoon. Hopefully it should all be done before I am at the theatre but delays can happen. A friend of our didnt get her keys until  about 6pm.

On that note I will say have a good evening.

I bet a huge weight will be lifted from your shoulders tomorrow. Champagne with fish and chips sounds like the perfect celebration.

Well done on the weight loss too.
