jwil Thank you.Evening allI have spent much of my working time in the garden sweeping and clearing. Not a huge amount done but what I have done looks much better so quite pleased with the result.2 loads of washing done and one in the machine. I have some old towels that I keep for emergencies (and mopping up water from when the old conservatory leaked) I noticed they are looking very yellow and grubby so in the middle of washing them plus a load of normal washing which has been put away.No money spent but the credit card bill has arrived so that will need checking before paying it later in the month.Weather was great this morning - nice and cool but got hotter by lunchtime so a shor walk for Bear. It is supposed to rain tomorrow which will be a nice change and I am sure the garden will appreciate it.Veggies watered but have left the rest in anticipoation of the promised rain.Have a good evening.4

Evening allPlans for today went askew this morning. I packed a large parcel ready for posting and then found the bus that usually goes down the next road isnt due to the continuing road works and it is too far to walk carrying a big parcel. I was planning on going into town and posting in the town centre PO. That didnt happen. The next plan was struggle with it on the scooter but that didnt happen due to rain and not wanting to get the box wet. I then thought of a quick visit to Mr M, Mata*** and the large pharmacy but the rain got heavier so that was out. Still no money spent so that was a bonus. As all my outings were cancelled I spent some time getting wet in the garden. It was actually quite refreshing.Bed changed and sheets washed and partly put away, one isnt dry. I have also finished washing the towels and cleaned their cupboard so a good job done.No watering tonight as it rained so a job saved. As its my birthday on Monday we had roast chicken tonight as I didnt want to have either cold chicken or risotto for my birthday meal. Steak it will be. I dont get presents but might get a card from dd if she remembers but not very hopeful. Possibly texts from dgd if dd reminds them. That was part of my reason for a trip into town as I was planning on looking for a present from me to me. I will try to get there next week but will get myself some flowers on Monday. It is supposed to be dry tomorrow so will carry on with the garden. It is all tidying up, weeding and sweeping so not very exciting but will give me pleasure when its done.Have a good evening.4

Have a Happy Birthday @ladyholly. I prefer to buy me to me presents personally. The only way I get something I really want. This year it will be purple gel pens. My birthday isn't until August though.2
