Glad Bear seems to be on the mend. Our dog tries to catch bees and has been stung on the mouth a few times 😞 It’s too hot for them at the moment and they don’t know what to do with themselves.

He has 3 more antibiotic tablets but seems fine other than being a little fed up with short walks as I cant take him too far without the scooter but doing my best.

    Evening all

It has been a bit of an odd day weather wise. Sunny first thing then it clouded over and we had some rain just not enough to do any good. We managed to get Bear out while it was cloudy and a bit cooler but then once we got home the sun appeared and it has gradually got hotter and hotter. Most unpleasant.

3 loads of washing done over the last couple of days and all dried and put away. If the forecast is correct and it is cooler tomorrow the ironing will be done first thing.

Very little done due to the heat and every time I move I feel like I am melting including having a "funny turn " earlier when I felt dizzy and sick. It passed in about half an and I am trying to drink more in case it was that.

Have agood evening and hope that the storms are not too bad for those who live further north than us.

    Evening all

Today has been a lot cooler so Bear got all his proper walks.

I have had 2 sales and there are 3 more ending tonight so i will be busy packing in the morning.

A very chilled out day - when isnt it?

I picked some of the spinach from the garden and Mr LH commented it was particularly nice. Shame there isnt much to pick due to a lack of space. Garden watered as the little bit of rain we have had barely dampened the dust.

I feel very tired today even though very little has been done. Mainly because Mr LH got up early and once he is up there is no0 point starting anything as he will interupt it.

I did ask him when the garage contents can go back in the garage but got a very noncomittal answer so obviously it wont happen in the near future. :#

Shopping tomorrow as the secure field was booked up so Bear is going on Tuesday instead.

thats it for today. Have a good evening.

Maybe a suggestion of 'I'm listing some sales to make money for our future, I presume you don't want these things if they're just sitting around?' 😁

Nice thought but its all stuff he wants to keep. He did sort it before the garage door was done and we had a couple of tip runs so I seem to be stuck with it until he "gets around to it".

    Evening all

Out to the PO first thing to post 4 parcels then on to the sm and pharmacy. They are about a mile apart which is very annoying. I am still trying to find the most scooter friendly route as either I run out of dropped kerbs or the path is too narrow but I will persist.

I received a 25% voucher off Mat**** as a birthday treat if I have a M me rewards card which I didnt as I still have the original one I got years ago so signed up for that. It is a bit early as my birthaday isnt for a couple of weeks but I will have a look on line to see if their is anything I fancy. I do tend to get trousers from there as they fit quite well.

Main shop for the week this afternoon pretty well on budget which is good.

We had a very hard walk this afternoon with vans, postmen and dogs so Bear was a quite stressed when we got home.

I was angry because one of the very large lorries was parked half on the pavement to the point I couldnt get past. There was a very sloped grass verge on one side but it was too dangerous to use it. It was on a pavement that has no dropped kerbs for a distance too far to reverse and too narrow to turn round so I had to get off, put the scooter in freewheel and push it up the slope and past the lorry. Unfortunately or perhaps luckily there wasnt a workman in sight to ask them to move or at least help. Its a good job I wasnt on my own with Bear. This was after coming back from the sm and finding some ambulance men had just dumped a wheelchair in the middle of the path. Luckily they had left the door open in the home they were visiting so I shouted to them and got them to move it. Why they left it there and not on the house path I dont know.

Re bils house we have noticed the garden is getting very ovegrown and are worried about it being a fire risk so have ask the gardner we had before to come and chop some of it down. Luckily the deer are doing a reasonable job but there is some stuff they either cant reach or dont like.

The sale contract stuff has been sent out today to our buyers solicitor and I know ours was the last one in the chain to be sent so all seems to be on track but I will only believe it when everything goes through.

Disappointing weight loss this week of just 1lb.

    Have a good evening.

1lb a week is perfectly respectable, @ladyholly. It works out as quite a tidy amount over a year, so take every lb off & feel proud of yourself.
