Maybe next time if you have your phone with you take a pic of blocking vehicles and send it to company and council asking they have some consideration. Well done for managing it.
Fingers crossed the sale all goes through, sounding tentatively positive
It has been really hot this week, your body is probably hanging onto all the weighty liquid it can! You still lost weight though so all good, and some weeks you might not but its a long term thing so that's fine too, bodies and needs fluctuate0 -
Inconsiderate drivers parking on pavements is the bane of Mr SA’s like. They only just leave enough space for a person to pass with no thought of scooters, wheelchairs or pushchairs 🤬 When we go to the big Mt T there’s a particular part of the pavement on the main road where the householders park right on the pavement as they don’t have drives. Most of them leave a decent space as it’s a wide pavement but one person parks their car right in the middle so you can’t pass either side and have to go on the busy main road.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Evening allThank you for your encouraging remarks about the weight loss and shared moans about inconsiderate parking.Did some garden work first thing this morning, well after it had stopped drizzling.Bear out to the secure field where he was very well behaved. Looking back I dont think he felt very well last week which accounted for him not being very good. We didnt stay too long because it was very warm and humid. The field is surrounded by hedges and tall trees so was holding the dampness from this morning.More listing done but I am coming to the end of the stuff my friend gave me and then that will be the end of the hard work with just the odd item to sell. With the hopeful prospect of having some money from the house sale I have been looking at clothes on line. I am very shocked at the prices and how much things have gone up. Neither of us have had decent new clothes for a long time. As Mr LH said its cheaper to wear rags. We are not quite at that stage but I wouldnt like to wear most of what I have anywhere nice. I have one pair of trousers and a very cheap top for the theatre and thats about it. Every thing else is quite old and was cheap in the first place. My fast fashion lasts for 5 years minimum.Garden watered and last of the strawberries picked. The apples are doing ok as are the tomatoes although they are still very small and green.Have a good evening7

Evening allA housework and listing day. Some of the things my friend gave me to sell is a large collection. I have got one more to list and then all I have to do is sell them. I have sold a magazine that I get as a freebie but the buyer wants me to post it in a box.Not going to happen as firstly I dont have a suitable sized box and secondly the postage will be much more so have messaged her saying no but she can cancel if she wants. I will delay posting and see if she comes back to me.The gardener the estate agent uses is on holiday so we rang our buyer to see if he knows anyone being a tradesman and he said he would go and have a go at it over the weekend. If he doesnt have time he will find someone. With all the dry weather we are getting very concerned about the fire risk.Veg plants have been watered although there was very light drizzle because it isnt due to rain much.A relaxing afternoon but it does feel very humid and warm so Bear only had a short walk.Have a good evening.3

Evening allIts hot again and going to get hotter in case you hadnt noticed so I am not feeling that great and have done nothing other than the essentials.. Roll on Wednesday when the temp is supposed to drop a bit. Bear will not be going to the field next week and his lunchtime walks will be very short or stopped all together.Posted a parcel this morning. To be fair it should have gone yesterday. While I was in the area I went into my nearsest hairdresser but having been totally ignored I left. She was dealing with another customer but all I expected was a hello I will be with in a minute and then I would have waited patiently but to have her lokk at me and turn away pressed myu button so I left. Went up to our little High street and made an appointment for next Wednesday to have a good trim sfter sbout 10 years without. I think it will tske several appointment to get my hair in decent condition but I will make another appointment when I am there or I will put it off for ever.Yesterday the roadworks stopped me all together as they had blocked the pavement completely. I just hope they have fisnished by the time Mr LH goes away at the end of August. I cannot really use the road when I have Bear on the arm of it. He is pretty good at walking beside me but I wouldnt risk it with him.Off now to water the garden. Have a good evening.4

We did the same in Thomas Cook in 2018, just a friendly acknowledgement would have kept us there but they lost out on a several thousand pound holiday booking as we got up and went elsewhere and were happy with their service

Evening allA cooler morning with some light rain but by 11am there were signs of it warming up as the sun started to appear. As Mr LH was up early we took the opportunity to tske Bear out before it got to hot, By the time we got home there was quite a bit of blue sky.One listing done but most of the day has been one for reading other than 2 loads of washing done. I havent investigated if its dry yet but it almost certainly is although I forgot the 2nd load so that hasnt been hung up for long. Our recycling that should have been collected yesterday hwas pickerd up first thing this morning. I was quite annoyed it wasnt collected but they have redeemed themselves. The workmen have left the end of our road in a very dangerous state. Our cul de sac leads to a normal width estate road which is now single file going round a bend. There are lights at each end of the roadworks,. So far no problem but our road comes out in the middle of the light control bits with no chance of seeing what the lights are doing as at one end they are obscured by the barriers protecting the trench in the road and the other end is way out of sight. . I have never seen a junction left in such a dangerous state. The only safe way to leave our road is to wait at the end to see which way the traffic is going and follow it asap. Hard luck if you want to go the other way.I shall be heartily glad when it is all finished so I can go out and know my way is not going to be blocked by assorted equipment.Enough moans now have a good evening.2

We have had a problem with our bin collection & it turned out to be because the roadworks took up so much of the road that they couldn't actually get through. Most of our bins are collected on fridays & I have noticed that the roadworks seem to be suspended then, it is just the Thursday collection. Obviously thursdays is the food type stuff so the smelly version.2
