Evening allNo money spent this weekend which is just as well as the current account will look a bit poorly after 2 payments come out tomorrow. The consolation is they are the only two big payments and one of them goes into my high interest saving account and my state pension is paid on Tuesday.Last week I bought some primula and pansies for the garden. Today I braved the cold and planted them. I am just hoping we dont get any really frosty weather but they do look cheerful and make me happy.House stuff today. I spent ages sorting out all our desk drawers which were in a total mess after bringing stuff I thought might be useful from bil. I didnt sort it when I got home and just stuffed out of sight in the desk. We have enough pens to last our lifetime and every one has been tested. Several lots of post it notes found just when I thought I should buy some. Sticky tape a la Ms Singleton coming out of our ears so all in all a useful activity.Bathroom cleaned.Roast chicken dinner cooked, eaten and cleared away.A long phone call from dd.Bear had a good walk and despite there being up to 5 dogs on the green he only made a short fuss once with a very lively large dog . As we were doing the pavement bit there were 2 more dogs fairly close and he just looked but no adverse reaction.Thats today so far, now going to read my book. It is one I have read many times but always enjoy it. Tai Pan by James Clavell.Have a good evening.8

Evening allWhat a miserable day weather wise. Out early on the bus to the PO to post the one item I had sold plus get some bits from the sm. Thought I had lost my bank card but just missed it in riffling through them. Got home and was just enjoying a cuppa and realised I hadnt bought the mushooms for dinner tonight, The rain was fairly light so risked a mad dash to L*** on my scooter to get some.Mr LH took Bear on his own as it was too wet for the scooter so I hoovered downstairs and washed down the front door and frame inside and out.Still nothing re the dig for the drain. I will email the land agent later this week to find out what is going on. It will now be at least March before they start.Another item sold but it wont get posted until Wednesday as the GP is supposed to be phoning tomorrow and they seem devoted to the land line despite me asking them to ring my mobile. I dont want to miss him/her as I have waited a week for the call. Of course they cant give me any idea of the time they will call.Tried to do a survey but was screened out of all 6 that were available.Off to carry on with my book. Have a good evening.3

Well done on the sales. Hope the GP doesn't keep you waiting too long"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Evening allThe gp phone call didnt tell me anything I didnt know but at least its confirmed.Shopping not done yesterday as the gp was late ringing so I did some today when I went to the PO which was shut yet again. Only got half the shop as I have to go to the alternative branch and I didnt feel like heaving a load of shopping in with me. Leaving it on the scooter would be asking for it to disappear. I did put the heaviest stuff in the back pack where it couldnt be seen. I also took a bag of stuff to the charity shop so a bit more out of the house.Cold and fed up when I got home. A soothing cuppa helped and a cuddle from Bear.Mr LH decided he wanted to go to the farm shop where we waited for non existent staff a while ago. We got there and they are having improvements done but we got everything we wanted including kidneys which Mr LH enjoyed for dinner. The prices are not econical but the quality is very good.Washing is dry and no ironing needed. My book is now calling to me so have a good evening.5

Evening allAwol a lot at the moment as there is very little going on.I am following foxgloves an hours housework every day and have started with the kitchen. In two days I have cleaned and sorted 4 cupboards and 3 drawers plus the top of the cupboards which had not been done for some time. I have put aside a dozen mugs to either take to the charity shop or add to the joblot which I will list nearer to the car boot season. There is only one inside one within resonable distance so will need to wait for the outside ones to begin usually around Easter.Mr LH keeps saying he is going to sort out all his stuff but no movement yet. All he is talking about is getting his classic sports car restored when / if we get some money. The one advantage of that is that is that while it is away I can use the garage to store stuff we will need to move while the work is done in the house. On the other hand I am trying to clear lots of stuff before then anyway.I had a couple of sale in the last week and hopefully there will be a couple more tonight. I am torn as to which PO to take them to as the one near the sm was closed due to technical problem so I got the stuff I usually buy on Monday when I went on Friday (mainly cigs for Mr LH) so will try the one on the little local high street which will mean I can have a mooch in the charity shops as I am getting short of books.Nothing else for now so have a good evening.3

Well done on the sales. Going to the PO where you can mooch around the charity shops sounds like a good plan"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Evening allPO trip and charity shop mooch completed with a satisfactory purchase of 3 books. I also added the 50p at the till as it was Banardo's and I did some voluntary work in one of their childrens homes many years ago. I did however save by not buying anything other than the books and postage. It was quite a cold trip as just sitting on the scooter doesnt get you warm like a walk would. A nice warm cuppa on return and then carried on with cleaning and sorting the kitchen cupboards. I did run over the hour but still didnt manage to finish the ones I was doing. They will still be there tomorrow. I have found a couple of items to sell but most went in the bin I afraid as it really wasnt suitable for either selling or donating. I did put what I could to recycle.I took Bear on my own as Mr LH has hurt his back again or at least Bear hurt his back by pulling him badly. I think he was tired when we got home as I ran him a little bit going faster on the scooter than Mr LH can walk. I will also try to persuede Mr LH I should take him tomorrow again as the weather is supposed to be rainy after that. I am not sure how far I could walk bear without the scooter.I didnt say but on Sunday I completed 3 loads of washing but very little of it is dry yet. It was all done on low ttemperature and the eco setting. I will be glad when the weather warms up a bit just no too hot as that does me no good at all.I was a bit concerned last night as I couldnt get my breath properly after walking Bear and was even struggling when I was sat still. I wondered if I had done too much but seem ok today so far. I would usually take the day following an episode like that very easy but decided that I would just see how it goes as I can be very lazy and want to stop that so I cacied on with what I wanted to get done. I used to be very active and I wonder if my breathing problems have been brought on by inactivity so I will try to fight through it and see how it goes. It will take time and I am only on day 3 so a long way to go. You never know it make resolve or at least improve.I think thats enough drivel for now. Have a good evening.6

Hope your breathing remains ok"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Evening alMy breathing isnt too bad today but as the weather is changing I be being hopeful. However looking forward to it being a bit warmer, shame its going to rain.A frustrating day as I had it all planned to get the bus into town to post a parcel and then to Mr T for the main shop. Mr LH got up just before I left complaining he couldnt sleep so that spoilt that plan. He stayed up for an hour and then went back to bed but by that time I wouldnt have time enough to do what I needed to in town. I took the risk that my usual PO ws open which it was and did some shopping in Mr S using the scooter. I only got some of what we needed so will have to go again later this week.
My hours cleaning didnt happen due to the time I returned from shopping but did manage to get one cupboard cleaned and the top of the cupboards on the other side of the kitchen. I had to move a load of old fish food tubs and looking at them realised they would make nice plant pots if I take the labels off. (I dont know why Mr LH keeps them but he will find some will disappear very soon.I took Bear on my own again which ended up being a little traumatic. We have had multiple dogs, vans, a motor bike and being stranded needing a drop on the pavement to avoid people with a dog on a narrow pavement. Not one our better walks.Off now to list the items I found yesterday which I photographed while Mr LH was having a cup of tea before his return to bed.Have a good evening.2 -
Glad your breathing has improved.2
