Evening allYes it does seem to be progress. I know this sounds very perverse but the nearer I get to the dig being done the more worried I am getting. What do I do if if I have to give up a large part of the garden, will my buyers drop out of the sale, if they drop out what do I do then etc. In consequence another 4am wake up after about 4 hours sleep. I really need 7 hours and now my breathing has gone to pot because I am tired. I will be tired until I go to bed and then I will wake up until about 12.30, then have to be up for the loo at least once. On the other hand in theory I will have an answer in the next month with luck.Sorry for the moaning so on to more positive things. No money spent5 items to sold and paid for and another 7 will end soon so a PO trip tomorrow. I will look like a bag lady on the scooter if I can fit it all on. Fortunately none of it it is heavy but with boxes it will be bulky. Make that 6 items sold as I have just accepted an offer. I have packed 3 but the others will have to wait until the morning as Mr LH hates the ssound of the parcel tape being applied. He has very bad tinnitus and some noises actually hurt hurt him.He is also quite deaf but because his tinnitus is so bad they dont think hearing aids would help so I spend my life either repeating things or translating for others who dont speak clearly enough or face him. Masks duringf covid were a nightmare as he lip reads quite a lot.Today the hallway paintwork and the bathroom cleaned. I had better do a bit of cleaning this week if the land agent is visiting. I know he probably wont care or notice but I will.Thats enough wittering for today. Have a good evening.I5

Evening allFeeling pretty grotty today starting with being very dizzy this morning and prgressing to a sore throat. stinging eyes and runny nose. Very little to report except more stress, little sleep and Mr LH telling me (that should be shouting at me) what I should do. On a slightly more positive note I have spoken to the senior chap at the estate agent and he agrees with me that the developers should not be demanding bits of the garden which will devalue the property without offering compensation for the loss of value. He is going to do some investigating and get back to me. I have emphasized the urgency as apparently the contract is ready. He says dont sign anything until he gets back to me.I have written to the land chap and implied that I am prepared to pull out of the whole deal and sell to the developer buying the house. My head hurts with it all.Main shop is done and money moved into the right pot plus rounded down our main account into the present pot with a whole £2.44.Went to the PO this to post the last of the weekends sale but they were shut. Apparently a staff member phoned in sick and the other one couldnt get there early due to a school run so I will have to go tomorrow morning as I couldnt be bothered to get Mr LH to stop on the way shopping as he tends to make a fuss about it due to the car park being in an awful condition with huge potholes.Have a good evvening5

Evening allYesterday was interesting in that I have received an email from the land agent saying they are allowing me to go ahead with selling the house and they are giving up the idea of using the garden for access. Getting stroppy and threatening to pull out of the deal plus the estate agent talking to them has obviously worked. The bad thing is if the pipe isnt deep enough the developer is likely to pull out and the whole circus will restart. On the other hand I dont really care. It may sound selfish as it would probably impact the sale price and certainly the time for completion but the stress, anger and upset they have put me through is I think payment enough. The contract hasnt appeared yet but it is ready to come out and the land agent should be coming here some time next week. The other landowners also want the weekend to study the contact before signing as do I but of course I have a solicitor to go through it as well. All that is assuming it is sent tomorrow .On a different note we have decided to lift the carpet in the conservatory and see if Bear can cope with it.I said we but that was actually I. Bear was not impressed with the carpet being pulled from under him but it is now rolled up and put in a corner until we decide. If we decide we want it back there is no problem as its only a bit of offcut from the lounge carpet. When we get some money we will get a good size rug instead. Mr LH isnt sure he likes it but as the kitchen from the van is still in there plus his big tool box I dont think you get the full effect. The suite covers from the conservatory have been washed and are hanging on the rack as I write.A friend called for coffee so a nice sit and chat with a little bit of gossip.I slept fairly well last night and strangely I have no cold symptoms at all so I am putting it all down to stress. All in all I am feeling fairly positive about everything at the moment. I have told Mr LH I am going to make a solicitor appointment for next week as he has at last agreed to make a will. He has always refused before but as there should be a good amount of money heading our way it needs to be done asap. It will be a simple one and there will be no bequest to charity after all the hassle it has caused me. Instead I will leave a letter for my daughter asking her to make donations to certain charities. I know she could fail to do this but I am sure she will do as I ask.Have a peaceful evening and night.6

Evening All3 parcels posted today so thats a bit more stuff out of the house. I am acttually starting to regain the bedroom. The weather here ha been wet and windy yesterday and today. Although the green areas are bog like we have been lucky in that no one round here seems to have had any problem. My green bin does tend to go for a walk across the garden when its windy. It been restored to its proper place but the metal garden chairs havent tipped over -- yet!The guttering is being cleaned out tomorrow although I dont know if it will be done as its supposed to be wet.AA money put into savings to start to replace what I spent on the scooter. My dgds puppy is doing well and has started his puppy training. Although she and her patner are first time dog owners she has attended a lot of training with us when we have had foster dogs and her partner has always had dogs and her sister works for a rescue so they have access to advice.Dont ask what is happening on the land sale front as my solicitor seems to have gone awol. I have emailed the one doing the house sale conveyancing to see if he is working so will have to wait for a reply. Patience is not a virtue I possess when people are supposed to be doing things and I am paying a lot for them to do it.On that note I shall say have a good evening.

Evening allWe now have nice clean guttering and he also cleared all the rubbish that the birds had dumped on the conservatory roof and cleaned the windows so everything is all nice and clean avbove ground level. Unfortunately the patio now needs cleaning from all the stuff from the guttering. A job for Thursday I think as its supposed to be dry then.We didnt go shopping today so I will do that in the morning when I post a parcel.Beds changed and 2 loads of washing done. The bedroom looks a bit like a laundry where clothes have been hung on hangers from the top of the wardrobes to leave space on the rack.Bear seemed upset by the change in his routine due to the gutter man but things should be calmer in the morning.Gutter man paid on line. I tried to withdraw cash yesterday but the machines werent working.Have a peaceful evening.3

The house sale and land sale certainly is a rollercoaster ranging from stressy to very, very stressy.
I hope the professionals get on with things and earn their big fees.
