I hope that the sale and paperwork associated with your sister and b-I-law's estate will now proceed smoothly and speedily. It's not just a financial transaction because it's the home, land and money of your sister and her husband and that's a poignant loss for you,
we know from your diary how thoughtful you were towards your brother in law and how much time and effort you spent clearing the house, getting probate and filling in numerous forms. MrLH might not appreciate your efforts but your chums here all know what you've done to get this far.
the classic car will get restored in due course. Perhaps MrLH can start researching and planning his project while he waits for your inheritance to come through?4 -

Evening allThank you. Blackcats you have made my eyes leak with your kind comments. I think the saddest moment was when I left the house for almost certainly the last time. Mr LH has offered to take me down there but I really dont want to see it again in its stripped condition. I know the meters will have to be read but my bils neighbour has said he will do that for me and he is visiting the hjouse regularly to make sure all his ok. I dont what I would have done without him and we are trying to think of a thank gift for all his help both to me and my bil. If anyone has any thought please let me know. The house is hopefully moving now but there is still the dig on the development land to start. I am just keeping my fingers and toes crossed.Mr LH is indeed already planning what he wants doing for the restoration of the car. He has been investigating people who can do what he wants which isnt just a matter of taking it to a garage as most modern mechanics dont really know what they are doing with an old car and he is very fussy. The first job we have to do is to remove all the stuff in the garage that is blocking it in. Most of it will be going to the tip so at least we dont have to find space for it.I havent done anything much today other than the PO trip and a bit of shopping. Why? I just havent had any enthusiasm for doing all the things I should be doing. I must find some get up and go for tomorrow as there are several things I want to get done.I am off now to read my book just as soon as I have caught up with other diaries.Have a good evening.

Evening allThe first of hopefully many trip runs done on Friday. This was the pile of stuff that has been in the garden since Autumn. It has taken so long because Mr Lh wont go at the weekend, when the stuff is wet or when its cold.We have various pictures on the walls in the hall and up the stairs so all the frames and glass have been cleaned using vinegar. The hall is almost finished except for the understairs cupboard. I have been putting that off as I know it is a horrible job and there is far too much stuff in there. The trouble is virtually all of it is useful so dont really want to get rid but I can at least tidy it.Spent some time in the garden today as the weather was really nice. Didnt even need a coat. Some ebay listing done but there is more to go. I am not sure the things I have been given are saleable but I can only try.No money spent over the weekend but we did buy Mr LH a tablet on Friday as his has broken. I did suggest he looked on line for a cheaper one but he wanted it now. At least the money was there as I use the ebay money for things like that.Credit card paid in full on Friday.Roast dinner with only one saucepan used. Gravy was granules and use the veg water as usual.Going to read my book now. Have a good evening.2

I’ve also enjoyed being outside without a coat today ☀️
The neighbour sounds very helpful so good idea to give him a gift. Do you know if he has a particular interest you could get him a gift card or voucher for?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -

Evening allAnother very frosty start to the day, then a heavy mist descended which lasted until late morning but was sunny and warm for the afternoon.A bit of listing this morning and photographing ready list some more followed by sorting paperwork which had been dumped in a cupboard . It is still in a cupboard but is now ready to put away properly. Because of where the paperwork is kept I can only do it when Mr LH and Bear are having there pre getting up cuddle so I dont wake Mr LH. The cupboard is flling apart so is very noisy to open but is the only place I can put needed paperwork. The top shelf in the understairs cupboard all sorted. Unfortunately that is the easy bit. Will do the next shelf down tomorrow and then the floor will need to be tackled.Main shop this afternoon. I am always glad when that is done.Off to watch sort your life out in a minute.
Have a good evening.5 -
Evening allSpent time this morning listing the last of the stuff my friend gave me and then lo and behold she turned up with 2 carrier bags of more stuff to sell. She keeps threatening me that she is going to clear her garage.Got the 2nd shelf in the understairs cupboard tidied and sorted.Lounge dusted and was going to hoover but our friends arrived so it didnt get done. hopefully tomorrow.I wont get the floor done tomorrow as I have to go and see if the pharmacy has the remains of my prescription. There is a shortage of one of my meds. Of course it has to be the one I dont have any extras but hey ho thats life.3 of the tomato seed I planted a couple of weeks ago have stuck their leaved above the compost. The last of the paperwork is put away which is something I have been putting off for ages. I hate doing it.Cashed out from one poll after having to get them to reset it twice where I messed up the claim. They have been very patient with my idiocy. Also did a few of there surveys. I think I was screened out of more than I did but thats quite common - I dont think they want to know what over 70s think. I have also done a you gove one and hopefully will cash out that one in about 12 months.I think thats today done. Have a good evening.

Back in covid times I started ordering my meds a day early, so far they haven't noticed. I take 3 sizes of the same thing & one of them is always a different make & is imported for some obscure reason. But at least if there is a problem I will have some. I thought of doing it a decade ago but never did & then the covid thing just brought it to the forefront.1
