Evening allOut first thing to get my tablets and call in to the sm to pick up the bits I missed. Made sure I had my very small list. My goodness it was packed out in the sm but didnt have to wait too long for the checkout. I had to wait ages for my meds as I think they forgot me as everyone was served before me until I asked how long they would be. Usually they are ready when I go in but they were very busy today. On the way home the scooter gradually go slower and then stopped. It was fully charged when I left home but even the small slope to get onto the pavement from crossing the road was too much for it. I ended up pushing it home in free wheel mode.. It was ok when we took Bear out but I didnt dare go on the field so Mr LH did that bit and I took him on the pavements and went very slowly. Bear was very good with a dog that passed by him. There was very little reaction but he did get bit stressed when Mr LH brought him near a chap with a dog that I was talking to or rather he was talking to me.Mr LH took the decision that we would go out and get a new scooter this afternoon as I think he was worried he would have to do all the walks. Tomorrow afternoon I will have a shiny new road legal scooter. It will reduce our savings somewhat but I really do need it and we always planned on getting a new one just not until my inheritance came through but needs must and at least I have the money to pay for it so no credit needed. I am excited having a new one and I dont think I have ever spent so much money on me in one go. I shall go bargain hunting on Boxing day.I made the mince pies for dgd to take to dd tomorrow but it was very hard work after having to push the scooter. I still have to make brandy butter for dd before I go out in the morning dd and sil and take their presents etc and then walk Bear. The scooter is being delivered between 1.30pm and 2pm and then thats everything done and we can hibernate except for walking Bear.If I dont get here tomorrow Have A Very Happy And Peaceful Christmas.

I should have said the old one has been showing it's age more and more over the last few weeks and I have had to leave me LH to do half the walk on his own more than once so I could get it home.1

Happy new scooter when it arrives.
Hope you have a lovely Christmas"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Great news about the scooter. You can pay yourself back once you receive the inheritance. Mr SA gets his via Motability and they replace it every 2 years. They don’t last that long for how expensive they are.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Unfortunately being well over 65 I can't get motability. I am just grateful for my aa. The scooter from my sister via my bil is well over 5 years old.3
