It may be easier to make 1 large pie---saves time and is less washing up.

    Evening all

    Mince pie making this morning.

I also discovered that if you want a gp appointment at our surgery you have to use their form and tell them whats wrong rather than ring them. Tough if you dont have the internet but I assume you can still ring but I didnt wait for that part of the message. Anyway they rang at about 1.30 with an app. at 4pm with my chosen gp which I was quite impressed with. I only went because the blue badge team want something from my gp. He said I am unlikely to get one as its incredibly hard and he had a patient last week who only had one leg that was refused. Anyway he is sending me for x rays and a blood test as my hip has been really bad. I think it will be a waste of time but I will do as I am told. Blood test next week, x ray when the hospital send me an appointment.

Main shop done but as I couldnt find several items I will have to go elsewhere tomorrow. I dont understand the new layout at Tesco at all. I cant find gammon at all, there is half an aisle of chicken of various cuts, about a third of an aisle  of beef cuts, a tiny section of pork and I didnt see any lamb at all. I think they are trying to turn everyone vegetarian although having said that there is plenty of fish and chicken. I did find the crisps at last and why have they put the last thing you reach are the freezers having to pass all the cleaning, medicines etc. They still have no stock at all of some items. and havent had for ages. i forgot my Teso vouchers so will use them next week but think Sainsbury will get most of my Christmas shop as I really cant be bothered to try and find stuff in Tesco.

By the time I got back from the doctor it was almost time for Bears tea and then our dinner. A quiet evening is in order. Whats new.

I hope all have a peaeful evening

I have never heard the like from your GP.
Not entitled to a blue badge. I sincerely hope the person who was refused is appealing.

I will persist with the claim but I have to talk to the deputy manager of the practice next week as she is on holiday this but without their support I will not get it so not very hopeful. He didntthink they support applications at all but I will see.

I am starting to worry. I cant get my head round Christmas at all. I did get one or two food items today but presents remain unwrapped or unbought, money for the family still in the bank account, cleaning not started, decorations still in the attic and so it goes on. I will have to get going or there will be no Christmas.

Our gate is still broken as its too cold for Mr LH to work outdoors. Batteries are sttill holding it shut.

A friend visited today so a good natter was had.

That just about sums up the last couple of days.

    Have a good evening.

It’s not just you. I have posted some cards and that’s it. I have nothing for my DS or his partner nor any inspiration. Bah humbug.

  • Could you ask people if they'd actually be offended not to exchange gifts this year? Might be a relief for them too, and I'm sure folk would understand that you're exhausted after the year you've had
  • Tomorrow will arrive, and you will absolutely smash getting all the Christmassy things done. Then it is entirely up to you whether to embrace or re-slump, either option is fine
Promise yourself a nice something in the evening as your reward.

Hope you managed to find some mojo today.  You've had a lot on.

We use the forms at my GP, it's so much better, you can put all the details in the form, and then the appointment is so much more productive.  We can still phone too.

I do hope you get the blue badge.
