Evening allSent the paperwork off to the solicitor. £9.35 to send special delivery but at least I know it should get there a bit more reliably.Shopping done in Sainsbury. couldnt be bothered to go to Tesco and trail around trying to find stuff. I came back with an overloaded scooter and forgot to put it on charge so taking Bear out was bit hairy as I could see the battery monitor going down. Made it though and its now charging.Very disappointed that I have heard nothing from either the land agent or the estate agent when both were supposed to be in touch after the meetings so I am no wiser. If I dont hear from them tomorrow they will be hearing from me.A bit of tidying done but nothing else so I will be quiet now.Have a peaceful evening.6

Evening allContact from land agent and the estate agent . As far as the land goes we are no nearer because the contractors for the water company have given a stupidly expensive price for the work so the water company and the land agents are meeting again next week to look at the quote more closely at it so no news on when the work can be done.An email from the solicitor giving the joyful news that I will become liable for full council tax on the house from April which I knew but is still annoying because it wont be my fault if things aren't settled by then. The estate agent gave me an update that both sets of developers are happy to work together and the one buying the house is ok with the access issue and will wait. At least something is positive but none of them will sign contracts until the pipe issue is solved. Goodness knows when that will be at the rate the water company is moving. The land developers solicitor doesnt understand why this issue wasnt sorted at the planning stage but I am now officially stuck with a house I dont want until who knows when.Popped to Lidl to get some milk as didnt fancy the weather tomorrow as we are in the red warning area for wind overnight and tomorrow morning. We both got warnings on our phone this evenings in case we hadnt seen it elsewhere. We have done what we can in the garden but expect to lose some fence panels which will be a pain as getting someone to replace them will be hard and in the meantime Bear wont be able to go in the garden wihout being on a long line and watched in case he gets tangled up.. Next door one way have rabbits and the other have children who leave their gate open. Houdini Bear would be off in a heartbeat.I have heard from the blue badge people and they want paperwork to prove my claim but as I havent been to the GP in the last year I only have the report from the neurologist and he doesnt believe my breathing prolems are due to the myasthenia.I will have to try for a gp appointment but goodness knows how long that will take as I need a long one to be able to present all my symptoms or they will only deal with one thing at a time when I think many of them are connected. I will ring on Monday but wont stand a chance then so it will be later in the week or the following week or sometime never. I dont give much for my chances in the short term.My pension in the account today so that was put into relevant pots and credit card account checked with receipts. All ok. I have bought a duck (not a live one) for Christmas dinner so that is something done. I just need to do the rest now and sort out a few small gifts, get the tree and decs out of the attic and create Christmas. I am even more behind than usual as I have no enthusiasm for it. perhaps it will come in the next week.In the meantime have a good evening.

Very little sleep last night but lots of listening to the wind. Up early as Bear came to make me get up. He went for his usual walk. It was very windy but all was fine, no trees near us other than small ones and we avoided those. No major damage thank goodness. Just a gate that won't close and is now held shut with a weight and a couple of large batteries that are waiting to go for recycling and the security light in the garden is bent probably from being hit by the gate.
Our neighbours trampoline ended up down the path having first knocked her fence down. We have just come in from partially dismantling it and putting it on her front garden for her to finish it off. Our neighbour said people had been coming to photograph it but no one has offered to help move it. It was partly blocking the public footpath so we didn't want to leave it but had to wait for the wind to calm down a bit.
I think that's me done for the day. Have a good evening.4 -

I think we were very lucky over the weekend with minmal damage. Of course I dont know how long we will have weights in front of the gate as it cant close and it is far too cold for Mr LH to work outside. I have worked out a system when I go shopping in that I tied the gate handle to the piece of trellis on the top of the wall next to the gate. If I leave it open it will just keep banging and annoy the neighbours.although tomorrrow I will have to devise something else while we are all out doing this weeks big shop. If I use the front door when Mr LH is in bed I would have to shut Bear into the lounge or he would try to escape and I would have no chance of catching him. One of the things we would like to do when we get some money is to have a small porch built so there are two doors to leave the house and would make it less likely that Bear disappears.I have done some listing over the last couple of ready with buy it now items starting on Christmas day and auction items finishing on Boxing day.A load of washing done and hung up in the bedroom as usual. I dont have either a washing line or a dryer so winter can be difficult but there are only two of us so I cope.Out to get Mr LHs cigrettes and the shopping I buy from Sainsbury. Tesco tomorrow.Risotto for dinner using up some of yesterdays roast chicken, some ham that needed eating and a tomato and some mushrooms that were past their best.Did a money shuffle towards Christmas. A friend has brought me a big jar of mincemeat but then he is the one that eats most of them. I will need to make some more tomorrow morning.I think thats it for today so I am off to watch Wolf Hall on I player.Have a good evening.4

Ooh a porch sounds nice, I am fond of a porch. Even little box ones I always think are a bit fancy. Can you tell I've lived in blocks of flats most of my life 😁2

It may be easier to make 1 large pie---saves time and is less washing up.1
