    Evening all

Thoroughly enjoyed the theatre last night. It was a very energetic show, even more than usual ( I have seen it numerous times and debating going again when it come to Bristol in the spring). I am just waiting to see if my dd wants to go bearing in mind I have just booked two more theatre trips for the spring of next year. I will see how much it is and might treat her if she wants to go. I also need to see if my son in law wants to go as well. He said he enjoyed last night but I will ring them and see what they want to do. It was an expensive day for theatre trips so will have to sell a lot to make up for it. To be fair some of it will come back when my dd pays mne back for their tickets.

My brother in laws house is now on the estate agents web site and they are holding a viewing day next week. There are already several viewing booked and I must admit the photos make it look really nice. I dont know if anything will come of them.  I can only hope.

I spent some time this morning cleaning the lounge and tidying up. I then emptied the water butt so I could lift it onto the new base that we bought Tuesday. I manage to get it halfway on but couldnt hold the butt up while I got it over the raised edge of some paving slabs behind it. It is positioned in a pretty tight space but it was sorted with a bit of help from Mr LH. That effort finished me off for the day.

Slight panic at lunch time as I couldnt find the keys for the scooter. I thought perhaps I had left them in it but instead they were buried on a shelf in the kitchen so panic over.

I received an \appointment at the eye hospital today for my usual neurology appointment and about 10minutes after I had opened the letter I had a reminder texted to me. The appointment is Thursday of next week so a reminder today seems a bit silly as it gives a long time to forget it.

Off  to carry on with my book when I have read other diaries.
Have a good evening and watch out for the ghosties etc. I havent seen any round here but we dont have many young children in the area at the moment.
  • Glad you had a lovely time at the show.
Fingers crossed for you the viewings go well

Sounds promising all those viewings on the house, hopefully it will sell quickly.

None of my pets are bothered by fireworks but it must be terrible for those who are, both human and animals. Our local area is campaigning for silent fireworks which would be great.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I heard fireworks this morning at around 7.30 - I mean who sets of fireworks at that time of day.  They have been going off since Saturday at all sorts of times but weirdly enough not in the evening when I would expect them & it is still 4 days to bonfire night!  I do sort of miss the fireworks from the lord of the manor on the hill opposite - party time.  The orchestra used to play the 1812 & instead of cannons we had fireworks.  It is 30+ years ago now but I sometimes wonder if they still do that.  I believe some people actually tried to complain about the noise.  A total waste of time as all the senior police were guests & ordinary PCs were on security & parking duties.

badmemory Strange they are not gong off in the evening I would suggest it could be blamed on teenagers but a teenager up at 7.30 seems unlikely.

Fireworks have been a contentious issue for many years but in recent years people have been able to get hold of the commercial ones which are frequently much louder.A friend of mine spends much of her time in her under stairs cupboard with her dog. Bear isnt too bad in the house but outside he tries to drag me off my feet. Its a good job my arms are still reasonably strong or he would escape and my shoulders would dislocate. He is very strong.

I think most people accept occasional displays but the random ones set of by people at all times are much more difficult to avoid. Many of the sm now sell silent / quieter ones.

Thank you. I just hope it all works running alongside probate because if that isnt granted with no problems it could delay a sale and if a buyer isnt prepared to wait I will have to start again/

The problem with having a solicitor involved is that you have six months whilst they wait for any response to the advert in the Gazette but once the bigger charities can see that their name is in a will they will be applying pressure to speed things up.

The charities can shout all they like but I doubt probate will any faster than then want which seems to be permanently slow.
