I am hoping that when the estate is settled we will be able to do quite a lot of work in the house and make it much more energy efficient. I dont think we could move the radiator as the shape of the room would make it hard and we have far too much in here but Mr LH wont get rid of anything. I even have to put the Christmas tree on the table as there is nowhere else.

Evening allFor the first time I could see a result from wearing my hidden disability lanyard. The manager in the sm saw it and opened another till. There were several people in front of me who were older and just as unsteaady so I said no and to serve them so he opened another till specially for me. I felt a bit guilty but was quite grateful as I am not too good at the moment. Home with a very overloaded scooter and then managed to forget a couple of things. I am in the big city tomorrow for appointments with the neurologist so will pop in when I get back. It will be a long afternoon as 2 appointments and over an hours journey each way. I cant complain though as its only every 6 months or so.There a quite a lot of fireworks around tonight as it is our towns turn with the Somerset carnival so Bear has been barking and pacing a bit. For anyone who doesnt know them the Somerset carnivals are incredible events with lots of light and music on the carts (here they are carts not floats). The bigger carts take all year to design and build for the larger ones and in our town the whole parade generally takes between two and three hours to pass depending on carts getting stuck on tight turns and break downs not to mention having to get ambulances through. The biggest ones have a tractor and two trailers. There are also walking competitors and smaller ones on the back of a truck. Some are tableaus with the people standling still for the route and some are very lively with lots of dancing and singing. They visit various towns in Somerset starting in Bridgewater which also has squibbing at the end. To find out what that is just google squibbing as it is unique to Bridgewater. If you have never been to the Someset carnivals I think it is something that is well worth travelling to see. We get coaches from all over the country. Please note I am not working for the Somerset tourist board I just think that it something that is worth seeing at least once.I can not longer get to carnival as I cant stand for long enough but used to take my dd and then dgds. Mr LH who was a radio amateur used to help there with communications as the police radios didnt work well enough then. My dd also did marshalling when she was old enough. It became rather a family affair at one time.I think thats enough from me but if you wany pictures google somerset carnivals and there are lots.Have a good evening

It’s good to know hidden disabilities are taken seriously by some companies 👏
The carnivals sound brilliant.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
I am going nuts. It's only Wednesday carnival is Friday. Sorry for the wrong date
Yes it is a sunflower lanyard. You can get them for myasthenia but not much point as most people have never heard of it so mine just says hidden disability.2 -
The carnivals are great. We haven't been for a few years.

Evening allA very tiring day. Ispent ages cleaning the deep fat fryer and then cleaning up the mess I made doing it. The kitchen floor cleaned on my hands and knees rather than using the mop because I think I do a better job than the mop. Got changed and sorted out my hand bag ready for the hospital trip. I rarely use a handbag so have to sort it out with what I need before I go. Put dinner into the slow cooker so I had minmal cooking this evening. The bus trip was fine and both ways were on time but I had a half hour wait for our local bus. Yes I could have walked it but really didnt fancy doing it as I was already tired. The appointments went well but I find the visual field test quite hard as it needs pretty intense concentration which I rarely need to do. The consultant was fine and only running 20 minutes late. All in all carry on as before. There is another viewing booked for Saturday so I think thats 12 in all. Keep your fingers crossed. I am.A very quiet evening I think Hope everyone has a good one.3
