Evening AllSpent ages this morning making a steak and kidney pie which will do us two meals and a few mince pies. I dont usually make mince pies until the beginning of December but I had a bit of pestry left. Baking seems to take me much longer these days but not sure why. Mr LH picked the car up and the bill was about £300 less than the quote because some of the work he had been quoted for wasnt needed. An honest garage because it was the kind of job he wouldnt have known if it had been done or not.I have finished watching the first series of Wolf Hall and will be starting on the first of the new series.2 parcels packed and am trying to decide which PO to go to. The very local one is the one that has unpredictable opening, the next one has lousy pavements getting there so I am favouring the village High street where I can also buy a big roll of bubble wrap. I use newspaper for packing as much as possible but I am completely out of ot at the moment . I must see if friends have any. There were a couple of second viewings on the house today. Hopefully there might be some news tomorrow if anyone is interested enough to make an offer.Thats it for today as it has been a doing very little kind of day.Have a good evening.5

A local FB group member was almost hit by a car recently on the pedestrian crossing of a supermarket. The driver was also elderly and apparently ‘didn’t see her’. Glad you’re ok anyway.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Glad you are ok. It's a bit scary having a near miss.
fingers crossed for good news from the estate agent tomorrow.2 -
Evening all.News from the estate agent was positive but more on that in a minute.Another annoying visit to the PO. Ir ealised there were a couple of things I forgot to buy earlier in the week so went to the nearest one next to the sm. They were still shut at gone 9am and then found they had lost the keys so went to buy my couple of bits. When they were still shut I made the decision to go to the village high street and get my bubble wrap. A hairy and quite long trip on the scooter and found there were some places where I had to go on the road as there were no dropped pavements where I need them. Its not legal on my scooter but no choice. I spoke to the assistant in the PO about the closure and obviously I wasnt the first to mention it as she knew all about the lost keys.Bought my big roll of bubble wrap and really had to squash it down as it didnt fit under the handle bars. Then it kept turning my lights on so had to keep stopping to see if they were on. Eventually made it home safely. The estate agent rang early afternoon. There are several offers some from families and some from developers. (it is a pretty big garden). We are favouring the families at the moment because we think that is what my bil would have wanted. The estate agent is ringing everyone who has made an offer and giving them the weekend to make a final offer so hopefully we will have more news on Monday. The families all have property to sell which is a disadvantage but we are not in a hurry due to having to wait for probate whereas at least one of the developers has made a cash offer. Our friend called for coffee at lunchtime which was good and we had a long natter.I had a bit of an incident with Bear first thing as someone had let there dog off on our green and it came rushing up to Bear. The owner was trying to chase it to catch it but it had no recall and wouldnt leave him alone. Why do people not put their dogs on a lead when they have no recall and they see someone with another dog. I have a sleeve saying unpredictable dog on Bears lead to warn people and I only went part way round our square so I didnt get near her and her dog and then came back on ourselves to come home. She did apologise briefly but that wouldnt help if Bear had bitten her dog. Bear was quite stressed when we got home, to be honest I was just angry.Thats been my day. Have a good weekend.3

Evening all.Spent quite a while this morning sorting out our airing cupboard and getting rid of a load of stuff we dont use like old sheets, etc. I have put a pile of towels ready to take to the local pet shop for a dog rescue. They are pretty stained but clean and I dont think the dogs will complain.Got my scooter out to take Bear out and found I had a puncture. I walked part of the route with Bear and Mr LH but couldnt do it all. Mr Lh has spent ages sorting out the puncture because at first he couldnt get the wheel off due to lack of lubrication over several years. I rang the local mobility shop for advice which was hit it with a hammer. I went out to the garage to find Mr LH hitting it with a hammer. It worked. Anyway the puncture is mended so I will be mobile again and Mr LH has boought some emergency stuuf for punctures. I am not sure what you do with it but I am sure there are instructions. It would have been a no spend day but obviously it didnt turn out that way. While Mr LH was finishing Bears walk I was chatting to our new next door but one neighbours. I think I was standing for too long so I now hurt but it was good to meet them.Thats enough wittering for now. Have a good evening.4

Great news about the house.Dogs off leads always make a beeline for my dog, she hates it. It annoys me when people let toddlers run up to her.Mr SA ended up having solid tyres on his scooter after several punctures, although I’m sure you’re a lot more careful than he is.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

The type used to hold carpets or similar. I dont know about being more careful than Mr SA because I do use it over the very rough gound in our green area and the pavements round here are in an awful state.Bear can be quite reactive to a lot of dogs even when they just walk near him. What people often dont get is that if he is on the lead and an off lead dog gets bitten it will be the owner of the off lead dog that gets into trouble despite their dog being the one that is hurt. An off lead dog is not classed as being under control.
