I do mine with a hand held steamer. It works well and the whole thing only takes about an hour including cleaning and putting everything back and for some of that I can kneel on the floor.

    Evening all

QWe the plans for this morning went out of the window. First Bear was up and pacing around at 5am wanting to go out and eat grass. This is the thrid morning running he has done this and although I have given him gastro intestinal food plus a pro biotic it is obvious his tummy isnt happy. A visit to the vet and £160 & an hour and a half later we got home. He had an anti emetic injction plus a couple of medications to give him over the next two or three days. Hopefully he wont need to go back. We had a dog run up to him on the way to the vet but as it was a small one he wasnt too stressed.  However I think half the people in our area were out with their dogs so by the time we got home he was thoroughly wound up and I was shattered from being pulled and rushing to keep him away from other dogs. A well earned cup of tea on return for me not Bear.

Mr LH got up earlier than usual and told me he had a funny tummy as well so i have been all round the house disinfecting the touch points. Hopefully that will help. He also admitted Bear had eaten something when he took him out earlier in the week. This was in an area where there have been some dodgy looking fungi. It would only have been a tiny bit but Bear isnt that big. Anyway he does seem a bit brighter this evening.

The cleaners have been at bils house today so that is all done. I just have to pay the bill.

A quiet pm after the efforts of this morning and I have had a sale for the first time in several days. This is possibly because I havent done any listing for a few days. That was the plan for this morning so I will hopefully do some tomorrow morning.

I am now off to watch a documentary about the terracotta army with Dan Snow. We have actually seen them in Xian, China several years ago and I can only say if you get the chance go. It is quite a surreal experience and well worth seeing. One of the wonders of the world.

    Have a good evening.

  • That sounds a tiring day, well done you.

I would second going to see the terracotta warriors if one is ever fortunate enough to be in that neck of the woods, absolutely astonishing. The presence of the place just hits you, a very rare experience, especially in tourist places.

Hope Bear and Mr LH are ok and you avoid it.

I didnt do any listing today because it was so dark this morning taking photos was a no no. Instead I managed to unwrap some things that were in newspapers and put them into an open tray where I can leave them unwrapped and more accessible for photographing and listing. Two more boxes of stuff emptied and my bedroom is beginning to look more like a bedroom. I have only got 2 parcels to post tomorrow which is a bit disappointing so will get on with listing during the week all being well.

Mr LH is fine today but I am not too sure about Bear. He didnt wake me early this morning and seemed fine but he appears to have gone a bit downhill this evening. I think he maybe feeling a bit washed out at least I hope thats all it is. Mr LH took him for his walk on his own due to the horrible weather and said he had walked very nicely. The only correction he needed was when he started to bark at a van. He doesnt like vans as they seem to have a negative association for him.

I hoovered while Mr Lh was out but not done much else except the usual tidying etc.

  • Glad Mr LH is feeling better, hope Bear perks up soon- I agree, sounds like he's knackered from having been ill rather than anything too worrying if he did his walk and was well behaved, other than telling that van what's what!

Your listing and dealing with sales work never ceases to amaze me

I have been awake since about 4am as Bear was very restless again. I have found out that Mr LH is going to bed much earlier and I think this has thrown Bear a bit so he thinks it is time to get up much earlier. I stayed in bed until about 6.20 by which time he was starting to get stressed. He is still eating a lot of grass but seems much better in himself. By which I mean he was not a good boy on his walk.

Mr LH got  up about 11am and I was almost asleep on the sofa having my mid morning cup of tea. I did have a good nap this afternoon but the sooner Bear learns the new routine the better. The change of clocks this coming weekend might help.

Risotto for dinner but as I had forgotten to get any tomatoes I had to use tomato puree instead. It was ok but not the same. It did give Mr LH something to complain about though so not all bad. :D

I have done some photos ready to do some listing in the morning.

I think thats it for today as I have been asleep for part of it.

    Have a good evening.

I’m glad Bear seems to be getting better. You made me laugh re the tomato purée and Mr LH 😆

I can’t believe how much stuff you manage to list and sell. Well done 👏

Remember I am retired so an hour or two listing/ packing is not much out of the day. The main problem is it does get very boring.
