I used to do quite a bit of online selling back when we were debt-busting - also sold books & music when we were clearing out our old family home. I don't mind the packing, it was more the waiting for payments & faff from buyers who hadn't read the descriptions properly or were just....weird or trying it on. As in real life, it seems I was a weirdo magnet online too! I did find it useful for selling lots of the stuff I used to buy from vintage/antiques fairs during my very frequent spendy visits back in the bad old days. I hardly ever go to these now. I am, of course, now a thoroughly reformed character, but haven't really tested myself too hard in this environment.

    Evening all

My regular trip to the PO completed. I have found one disadvantage to using the scooter which may make me sound like a misery but ..... When I go on the bus there is a very limied time when people can talk to me but on the scooter I can get trapped talking to one of the many lonely elderly people round here or rather them talking to me. I was stuck today for about half an hour this morning being talked at. She is a lovely lady but can talk for England so ended up being out for longer than I intended.

I have had the invoice for the house cleaning and thats been paid and the estate agent is doing photos tomorrow. Its a shame that most of the garden will have died off by now.

We had friend visit for coffee this afternoon which is always good. She has also brought me something to sell that she doesnt want. It isnt worth much but every little helps.

With one things and another the washing is still on the clothes horse but it wont run away and I havent got anything on outside home tomorrow so should be able to get it done then. Even if I sell something it can wait until Saturday as the forecast says rain.

It has been funny weather today . When I went out with Bear about 7am I had my lightweight coat open, when I went to the PO I had to do it up and by the time we took Bear out at lunch time I was in my winter coat. I will see what its like later when I take him for last short walk.

I have finished my latest book and have now got a Michael Conolly to read. I only really like his Harry Bosch books which this is so looking forward to that. My book stash is going down so a charity shop visit is in order. It will have to be next week though and I will go to the village High st where one the shops have them for 50p instaed of the pound elsewhere.

Off to start my book before taking Bear out. Have a good evening.

I would have your excuses ready before you leave home, especially if your scooter can go faster than they could walk.  I am still feeling very very slightly guilty after having talked to a friend on Tuesday afternoon for over 20 minutes & on the third repeat of something, I said oh no I've got to go the kitchen sink is blocking up I HAVE to do something about it quickly.  This is the same person who used to keep asking me if her stood on cigarette ends had damaged my car tyres.

I feel sorry for many of them because I know they are on their own and quite lonely. I know this happens to others in my area as someone I pass the time of day with described someone we both know as a lovely chap but boy can he talk.

I like the Bosch books too, and the series is one of the big reasons we got prime, as it's really good.  We're watching the latest Lincoln Lawyer series on NF at the moment as well, and that's good too.

We dont have netflix or prime so have never seen Bosch or The Lincoln lawyer on TV but I do enjoy the books. I rarely enjoy seeing characters I have read on the ccreen as they never match my vision. Its not quite so bad if I have seen the screen version first as with Sharpe because that picture is already there. Does that make sense?

A little bit of listing done  and  some cleaning (not a lot) completed.

Bear had a slightly short walk today as the dog that he had a problem witth was on the green when we went so instead of going all round we had to go straight up the path. Its a shame because we know they played together when he escaped but his recall is so poor despite our best efforts it is just too dangerous to let him off and he is not good with dogs who are big and bouncy as this one is when he is on the lead.

A day at home today so sorted some of the remaining boxes out and managed to empty 2 so there is only one left behind the settee in the conservatory. I have also sorted a bag of stuff to go to the charity shop on Monday. There will be more to go but they are only accepting one bag at a time at the moment.

Thats my day. I hope you had a good one and a peaceful evening.
