I used to do quite a bit of online selling back when we were debt-busting - also sold books & music when we were clearing out our old family home. I don't mind the packing, it was more the waiting for payments & faff from buyers who hadn't read the descriptions properly or were just....weird or trying it on. As in real life, it seems I was a weirdo magnet online too! I did find it useful for selling lots of the stuff I used to buy from vintage/antiques fairs during my very frequent spendy visits back in the bad old days. I hardly ever go to these now. I am, of course, now a thoroughly reformed character, but haven't really tested myself too hard in this environment.

Evening allI wasnt planning on going anywhere this morning but as I sold something overnight to a regular customer I popped out to post it for him. I did also call in the £ shop to get some mailing envelopes and some ordinary ones. They didnt have either so that was a waste of time. I did list a couple of items though.I have spread some more white vinegar on the weeds today. The first ones are dying but as its quite mild they sar sprouting while I look at them. The grabel needs to be lifted and the membrane replaces really and more gravel put put down as over the years a lot of it has disappeared with almost 20years picking up after the dogs. There is nearly always a pebble or two attached and bearing in mind we used to have three dogs that is a lot of collecting.Shopping this afternoon which took me ages as Tesco are still moving things about and there is no logic with where things are. They have brand new fridges but most of them are either empty or only half full. I asked a staff member where I would find cheese and she said as she had only just started her shift she could only tell me where it was yasterday with no guarantee it hadnt moved. It hadnt luckily. I was exhausted when I finished because usually I dont have to go down every aisle but at the moment you have to or you would miss things and they have put some food where the menswear is usually. to add to the chaos they are are starting the parkng machines again next week. I wonder how long they will take to dreak down again.Bear seems to have gone downhil again this evening. He is eating, drinking and enjoyed his lunchtime walk but is back to being a bit lethagic again. He didnt even move when I got some cheese out of the fridge which is a bit worrying. I will see how he is in the morning.I am hoping not to have to go out in the morning but if bear isnt well a trip to the vet may be on the cards. Otherwise it will be listing and ironing. I know how to live.I am now going to sit on the sofa and see if he will join me for tickles and cuddles.Have a good evening.5

Evening allBear has seemed his normal self all day so I think it is just he is still recovering a bit from being ill and by the evening is a washed out.Well the listing plan has not gone to plan again. Mr LH got up just before 9am - almost unheard of. I was on the computer but had to get off it so he could use it. He sulks if he cant have it within 5mins so not worth the hassle. He did go back to bed at 10.30 but I had lost the enthusiam so only did a couple of items. I do have a bid on something for Sunday and have sold a buy it now item.
I have, however, done the ironing which I loathe doing so that is out of the way. I do need to put the non ironing away but that wont happen tonight. I was going the shopping area I rarely use tomorrow but as I now have a parcel to post that wont happen as there is no PO near. It is going to rain on Friday according to the forecast so wont get there then as there is no bus and its too far to walk so will aim for Saturday if its dry. I want to visit Boots for a couple of new hot water bottles for Mr LH as ours are years old and I worry one of them will burst, and Matalan as I need some new trousers and theirs fit me quite well. I am quite fussy as my legs are too fat for narrow ones which seem the fashion elsewhere and if they have them I would prefer not elasticated waists. I will see what they have.in my size.I hope you all have a good evening.5 -
Evening allMy regular trip to the PO completed. I have found one disadvantage to using the scooter which may make me sound like a misery but ..... When I go on the bus there is a very limied time when people can talk to me but on the scooter I can get trapped talking to one of the many lonely elderly people round here or rather them talking to me. I was stuck today for about half an hour this morning being talked at. She is a lovely lady but can talk for England so ended up being out for longer than I intended.I have had the invoice for the house cleaning and thats been paid and the estate agent is doing photos tomorrow. Its a shame that most of the garden will have died off by now.We had friend visit for coffee this afternoon which is always good. She has also brought me something to sell that she doesnt want. It isnt worth much but every little helps. With one things and another the washing is still on the clothes horse but it wont run away and I havent got anything on outside home tomorrow so should be able to get it done then. Even if I sell something it can wait until Saturday as the forecast says rain.It has been funny weather today . When I went out with Bear about 7am I had my lightweight coat open, when I went to the PO I had to do it up and by the time we took Bear out at lunch time I was in my winter coat. I will see what its like later when I take him for last short walk.I have finished my latest book and have now got a Michael Conolly to read. I only really like his Harry Bosch books which this is so looking forward to that. My book stash is going down so a charity shop visit is in order. It will have to be next week though and I will go to the village High st where one the shops have them for 50p instaed of the pound elsewhere.Off to start my book before taking Bear out. Have a good evening.4

I would have your excuses ready before you leave home, especially if your scooter can go faster than they could walk. I am still feeling very very slightly guilty after having talked to a friend on Tuesday afternoon for over 20 minutes & on the third repeat of something, I said oh no I've got to go the kitchen sink is blocking up I HAVE to do something about it quickly. This is the same person who used to keep asking me if her stood on cigarette ends had damaged my car tyres.

I like the Bosch books too, and the series is one of the big reasons we got prime, as it's really good. We're watching the latest Lincoln Lawyer series on NF at the moment as well, and that's good too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Evening allWe dont have netflix or prime so have never seen Bosch or The Lincoln lawyer on TV but I do enjoy the books. I rarely enjoy seeing characters I have read on the ccreen as they never match my vision. Its not quite so bad if I have seen the screen version first as with Sharpe because that picture is already there. Does that make sense?A little bit of listing done and some cleaning (not a lot) completed.Bear had a slightly short walk today as the dog that he had a problem witth was on the green when we went so instead of going all round we had to go straight up the path. Its a shame because we know they played together when he escaped but his recall is so poor despite our best efforts it is just too dangerous to let him off and he is not good with dogs who are big and bouncy as this one is when he is on the lead.A day at home today so sorted some of the remaining boxes out and managed to empty 2 so there is only one left behind the settee in the conservatory. I have also sorted a bag of stuff to go to the charity shop on Monday. There will be more to go but they are only accepting one bag at a time at the moment.Thats my day. I hope you had a good one and a peaceful evening.4
