Yes, it must be very emotional visiting the house.Really annoying when lifts at stations aren't working. I remember coming home from a busy couple of days working away and trundling my case to the far end of Vauxhall station for the last part of my journey. Lift out of order. I stood at the bottom of the long, steep stairs and having to summon up the energy to clamber up the steps. Halfway up a very kind person offered to carry it the last 2 flights of stairs.2

When I was travelling to see bil with a bag and suitcase to bring stuff home I used to find people were really helpful on the outward journey when my case was empty but coming home late afternoon when people were going home after work I rearely got any help/ They just tried to shove me out of the way, Then I found all the lift and problem solved some of the time except our local station which has a very long steep slope. Stairs would be easier for me and I doubt anyone without an electric whheelchair or scooter could get over it.

Evening allOut to sm this morning to buy milk and some bits and pieces. The post office is still closed and according to the emails I have received they are no further forward with solving it. It was mentioned on social media that someone said the provider had cut the line and were refusing to pay to have it reinstated. No idea if thats true and head office is not admitting anything but it not them that is struggling to access the alternative post offices. I will have to make the effort tomorrow and as its supposed to be raining it is unlikely I can use the scooter as I am waiting for a raincover to be delivered. Hopefully tomorrow.I had a message from the house clearance man earlier and he has carried on today but finished early as he was soaked. It has been pouring with rain much of the day both here and there. I am so impressed with him and both his price and work ethic. He is returning tomorrow which was not in his plan but he wants to get finished.Very tired and achy today probably from travelling yesterday. It is only just over three hours but when I got out of the car I could barely walk I was so stiff.. Hobbled into the house looking like I was at least 90.Poor Mr LH got soaked taking Bear for a walk today I stayed at home and caught up with some bits of admin and wrapped a parcel.Well thats me caught up I think. Have a good evening.6

Evening allWoke up a bit late this morning so a rush to pack a parcel before heading to the alternative PO in drizzle. Did the post and walked to the bus stop in pouring rain and then had a 15minute wait for the bus. I have run out out phone data and refuse to pay for more so sat on a wall in the pouring rain at the bus stop with no shelter and under a tree which made me regret that decision. I was soaked when I got home.
Sat and had a cup of tea on return home and a friend arrived just as i was about to stir myself and hang some washing up and clear the kitchen so that was delayed for an a hour or two.
It dried up sufficiently for me to use the scooter to take Bear but had to cover the controls with a bin bag as there was still drizzle about. The proper cover arrived while we were out so will be ok in future although i wouldnt want to use the scooter in pouring rain.Moved money around after a pension payment today so thats all done for this month. We have been spending far too much money one way and another for the last couple of months so budget done for the coming month and Mr LH will have to wait for for anything pricey that he wants. I will also have to work out a more economical menu as our food bills are a bad joke.I had entered something into a proper auction with an estimate of £100 - £200 which achieved just over that so I am now waiting for that to be paid. I was pleased with the result as I didnt think it would be worth that much.I have taken some photos for ebay stuff so now off to list it. Have a good evening.4 -

Evening allA useful sort of day. I spent about an hour and a half listing stuff this morning. Then spent some time with Bear and did a sniffari which we havent done for ages. The weather has been better today so got out into the garden and did some stuff out there. I planted some cauliflower seeds last week and they seem to be making an appearance. I thought that is a bit fast but the container has been empty for a while so I cant think what else they could be. I need to try to take some anti slug and snail measures before they get bigger.Next weeks menu done and and most of a shopping list. It may need adding to as I find things we have run out of. I am not very organised.I was going to hoover but Mr LH got up early so that went out of the window.I got Mr LH to move the car back a bit on the drive so I can get the green bin out as it is full. I just need to remeber to do it tomorrow. Went to put a bag in the food bin (mainly banana skins and tea bags) and found a load of maggots so they have been dealt with and the dead ones left on the path for the birds. As i was putting my scooter away after Bears walk I met a neighbour who does gardening so asked him to mow my lawn and my lovely neighbours who has been cutting ours all summer. He charged £20 for the 2 which I thought was spretty reasonable. Mr LH didnt but as I pointed out he is very out of touch with prices as he rarely goes anywhere and only buys guitar strings and such like.Thats my day. I hope you have had a good one.5
