Yes, it must be very emotional visiting the house.
Really annoying when lifts at stations aren't working.  I remember coming home from a busy couple of days working away and trundling my case to the far end of Vauxhall station for the last part of my journey.  Lift out of order.  I stood at the bottom of the long, steep stairs and having to summon up the energy to clamber up the steps.  Halfway up a very kind person offered to carry it the last 2 flights of stairs.

Just when you think the worlds going to (somewhere not nice) this happens & restores your faith in humanity.  The world really is full of nice people we just hear way too much about the others.

When I was travelling to see bil with a bag and suitcase to bring stuff home I used to find people were really helpful on the outward journey when my case was empty but coming home late afternoon when people were going home after work I rearely got any help/ They just tried to shove me out of the way, Then I found all the lift and problem solved some of the time except our local station which has a very long steep slope. Stairs would be easier for me and I doubt anyone without an electric whheelchair or scooter could get over it.

    Evening all

Woke up a bit late this morning so a rush to pack a parcel before heading to the alternative PO in drizzle. Did the post and walked to the bus stop in pouring rain and then had a 15minute wait for the bus. I have run out out phone data and refuse to pay for more so sat on a wall  in the pouring rain at the bus stop with no shelter and under a tree which made me regret that decision. I was soaked when I got home.

Sat and had a cup of tea on return home and a friend arrived just as i was about to stir myself and hang some washing up and clear the kitchen so that was delayed for an a hour or two.

It dried up sufficiently for me to use the scooter to take Bear but had to cover the controls with a bin bag as there was still  drizzle about. The proper cover arrived while we were out so will be ok in future although i wouldnt want to use the scooter in pouring rain.

Moved money around after a pension payment today so thats all done for this month. We have been spending far too much money one way and another for the last couple of months so budget done for the coming month and Mr LH will have to wait for for anything pricey that he wants. I will also have to work out a more economical menu as our food bills are a bad joke.

I had entered something into a proper auction with an estimate of £100 - £200 which achieved just over that so I am now waiting for that to be paid. I was pleased with the result as I didnt think it would be worth that much.

I have taken some photos for ebay stuff so now off to list it. Have a good evening.

Great news on the auction sale.
