I can’t move our appliances out either. On the odd occasion we have them repaired I’m right there with a dustpan and brush before I let the engineer put them back 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

    Evening all.

Well last night was interesting. I put the dishwaher on after diiner then Mr LH found one of the pipes had a bad kink in it so had to turn it off while he sorted it out. The programme restarted and at midnight Mr LH came uptairs telling me the machine was still running. I told him to turn it off to be sorted this morning. Turned out the economy programme takes just under 3 hours so wasnt due to finish until about 1am. The running time of programmes wasnt in the instruction but I found it on line this morning. It seems fine now.

Out this morning to dd to take her Birthday card, present etc, Home in time to walk Bear.

Did some listing tonight from a box I hadnt opened since it came home so that was quite exciting. Now wathing Sharpe for the umpteenth time. I always enjoy them.

    Have a good evening.

I havent left the country but did manage to put my update on the wrong diary. I would be dangerous if I had a brain.

I have had some sales over the weekend and was going to post them when we went shopping this afternoon. Plans all gone wrong as my scooter batteries are being delivered between 2.30 and 4.30 so shopping not going to happen and by  the time we got the email about the delivery I wouldnt have had time to go to a PO  before needing to wake Mr LH. Yes I know hes a big boy but without me waking him goodness knows what timw he would appear. We also urgently needed a few bits. I decided to ring the PO store. No answer despite constantly ringing for about half an hour so rang Mr M customer services who apparently dont deal with enquiries about their franchised stores so rang the alternative number they gave me. They rang the store - what a surprise no answer so they said they would email the area manager and ring me back. To be fair they did - to tell me the area manager couldnt contact them and they would ring me in the morningto update me. What kind of compamny is mr M? Anyway I went and got the urgent shoppingd while Mr LH waited for the delivery. I checked the PO while I was there and foumd they are still shut and was told by someone that the next nearest PO is also shut. What is going on with the PO? Does anyone know? I await tomorrows phone call with interest. What really annoyed me with Mr M is that much of the contact information on their website is either incorrect or simply not there and the fact the area manager appears to have no way of contacting the store. Funny way to run a business.

To add insult to injury the bus home from sm did not appear and the seats at the bus stop were causing a lot of pain after half an hour waiting and the app was showing the bus miles from its route so was confused as to when / if  the next one would arrive I gave up and got a taxi.

The good news is I have new batteries ( the scooter I mean) all fitted courtesy of Mr LH so tomorow I will ring the alternative PO to see if they are open. I believe they do answer their phone or I will go to out local high street and try the one in the co-op.

Other than the Mr M fiasco I have cut the enormous hydrangea in the front garden back a bit more. I have probably done anout a third of it. Bed changed and the sheets washed and hung up. Parcels from today packed ready for tomorrow. I am seriously considering declaring time away on ebay until after I come back from BiLs next wednesday in the hope the PO will be open. I need to do it for the first half of next week anyway so it shouldnt make too much difference.

Sorry this has been a very long post so I will end here. Have a good evening.

Well done you for cutting back the hydrangea.  I would have been far to busy throwing things to do a fraction of what you got done.  You are so so patient
  • What an absolute palaver of a day. Well done for still being productive, and great you got the new batteries in.
Definitely take time away from ebaying if you need to, you have quite enough to be getting on with without PO's nonsense

    Morning all

If I can fit all six parcels onto my scooter I will try taking it to our local High st this morning. I have not used it for anything other than dog walking so far as I was not convinced on battery power so that is todays adventure.
I still have a fair bit to do on the hydrangea but am running out of bin space because I keep forgtetting to put it out for collection.

I have marked myself away on ebay from tomorrow until next Thursday so hopefully there might be news / progress with PO before then.

Off to pack my last parcel. Have a good day.

Hope the scooter trip goes ok.  I haven't heard of any issues with PO so maybe it's local to your area.  My local one was forever closing randomly due to a lack of staff a few months ago.

badmemory I am certainly not patient but by the time I write on here I have usually calmed down a little. Its not for nothing I have (that should be had)red hair.

    Evening all

What a surprise. Customer services at Morisons or rather their other company didnt get back to me so I am still in the dark as to what is happening at the PO. I spoke to the lady at one of our alternatives and she didnt understand what is happening as they get priority on internet problems.  As a franchise for the PO I really dont know who else to get in touch with. As a matter of interest google maps is showing that it is temporarily closed. I will email the customer hub tonight as I am not going to let it drop. It is a busy PO and they must realise many of their customers are elderly and/ or disabled.

On to my trip on thee scooter. I managed to get all the parcels on fairly safely and set off but as I went up the path the battery indicater light started to go down so ended up going by bus. I have had a couple of sales today so will try again tomorrow.. I think if I can get there on the scooter it will be quicker as the bus goes a very convoluted way and I will notg have to wait for it.. I will see.

Weekly shop done this afternoon. As I am away for 2 nights next week I am trying to think of meals that dont weigh much as I will have to take everything with me on the train. I am hoping ,y son in law will pick me up on Wednesday but going down I am on the train. I am not planning on going until mid afternoon on Monday so will be able to take Bear to the field before I go..

Nothing else for today . Have a good evening.

When my hair started going grey it was a very tatty grey colour so I decided to go the colour of both my grandmothers.  One Irish one Scottish.  It does suit my temper at times too, although it tends to be inanimate objects that really annoy me not people.
