I rang to order the washing machine and dishwasher first thing and was on the phone for ages but all done and should be delivered and fitted tomorrow Not a no spend day for certain.Out to PO afterwards to find they are still closed due to internet problems so I will have to go to the one furthr away tomorrow fitting it around the delivery. A pain but I cant change it. I do find it a bit strange that a business like the PO even if it is a sub p.o. is allowed too be closed for so long. I would have thought they would be a priority but it doesnt seem so. If it is closed for long it is going to make things hard as I do shopping at the same time. The next nearest post offices are in either a local shop or a co-op which I find is very expensive.

Evening allHooray the second buyer turned up and paid just under the asking price which was more than I thought I would get so all good. % parcels to the PO today including one that weighed about 8.6kg. I was exhausted just carrying it from the car and there are 3 more to go tomorrow, I might get my bedroom back at some point.Bear was happy to go out the field and have a good run in the cooler weather. We always take a bowl and some water with us and he loves to have a drink and then put his front paws in it to cool himself having first dropped his ball in it. He is a weird dog. We can figure the paws but why does he insist on putting his ball in the water? With one thing and another nothing else done today but I am loving the cooler weather. Still going out in just a short sleeved blouse with no coat but I can at least breath a bit better.Hope you have a good evening.4

Evening allOut to PO with 3 parcels only to find it was shut again due to internet problems. This is the 3rd time in just over a week. Getting a bit fed up with it as the parcels were quite heavy so home again and had to get Mr Lh to take me to a different one on the way for the weekly shop.this afternoon. Some listing done and put some more stuff away from Mr LHs weekend away. One day he will do it himself. Most is now away anyway.Shopping this pm and somewhat irritated as the joint of pork I wanted was apparently leaking so had to have a different one chosen by an assistant which was nearly £1 more. I pointed that out but got nowhere. I had to accept it as the pork in our aternative sm is not very nice so now trying to work out what to do with the extra. Difficult as mr LH is so fussy and is a meat and two veg man on the whole. The comfort was that even with that I was on budget.I think thats all for the day except to say I got a letter from the bank telling me the interst on my savings is going down from October.Have a good evening.3

Evening all.Nothing much to report. Finished putting camping stuff away, plus general tidying and cleaning. Listed 3 items and have sold 2 of them.
Hoping the PO is open tomorrow after yesterdays wasted trip.
No money spent but there will be a lot tomorrow as I will be ordering new washing machine and dishwasher having rung them today to make sure they could disconnect the old ones. Must remember to get dishwasher tablets when I am out tomorrow.Usual making gravy with veg water (mr LH has gravy with almost everything). Cleaned the bathroom using white vinegar to clean the shower. Not only is it economical and environmentally friendly it is the best thing I have found so win win.
Must finish here so I can take Bear out and be back to see most of celebrity race across the world. Have a good evening.4 -
Well done on the sales. I'd have gravy with everything too, but seem to have got out of the habit of having it recently!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Evening all.A friend called for coffee before we took bear out for his walk then a relaxing afternoon watching rubbish TV to fall asleep over. Before dinner the cupbord under the sink was emptied ready for tomorrow and then I found it was the one next to it that would be needed. Still it needs a clean which I will do tomorrow before putting everything back. In other words a day of faffing about and nothing much done.I think that enough moaning for today. Have a good evening.5

Evening allWent to the local high street to send my parcels and to get some bubble wrap for fragile stuff and we have a chepie shop that sells big rolls for a reasonable price. I also ot some other packing stuff as I seem to be running a short. The washing machine and dishwasher are all connected and the dishwasher is on a test run with tonights dinner dishes in it. The old ones have been tasken away and will be recycled where possible. I must say I felt a bit embarrassed when they were pulled out as the floor was disgusting underneath them. In my defence because they literall only just fit in the space I couldnt pull them out to clean under them and they have been there for a long time. I will be able to pull them out now as the dishwasher is a slimline so there is a gap.I also received a parcel that should have been here two days ago and a wheelchair we brought back from bil has gone to a charity who collects nmobility aids for Ukraine. The old people are having trouble getting them and the military only get basic push ones not self propelled. They are also quite desperate for scooters as they arent available at all.Reallised when I was cooking tea I had drained the veg without using the water for gravy so had to boil a kettle. I must do better especially with the new price cap coming in and no heating allowance this year.Thats enough wittering for today have a good evening.2

No need to feel embarrassed, if you can't reach a space then you can't reach it. I'm sure they go into homes much more unkempt than yours!
That's fantastic you were able to contribute a decent wheelchair, especially to someone elderly living in a blimmin war zone. Certainly reminds us to count our blessings doesn't it1
