Our local PO is franchised to Premier. I hate using it as I don’t understand a word the bloke on the counter is saying. I find it so frustrating 😞
Well done on your perseverance with things, a lot would’ve thrown in the towel by now. Nothing is ever straightforward 😖I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
Evening allStill heard nothing from Morrisons. So much for for customers first. Anyway despite it raining first thing I risked going to the local high street to post the parcels. All went well except when I crossed the road to go to the bank I heard a lound crunching noise. It happened both ways so I think the road camber must be very steep and catches the metal bar at the bottom of the scooter. No damage anyway. The trip to the bank was good as I had a lot of change to put in. (I put any spare change in my purse at the end of the week to one side). It was all nicely bagged up but they wont take more than 10 bags apparently and I had 14. Anyway she said they would take it this once so the bank account is £153 better off. It wont stay there long as I will have to pay the house clearance people next week but it will help along with the money I got from selling my sisters second scooter.Confirmed times with the house clearance man and checked my sil could pick me up on Wednesday which will make things easier. Just the train down there.Hoovering done and a good clean in the kitchen.Roasted veg and a slice of bacon for dinner so a pretty economical meal. Mr LH was saying he hasnt had home made steak and kidney pie for a long while but as I cant get the kidneys it will be a while longer. My bil used to get them for me so none since April.I cant remember if I mentioned that about 5weeks ago I had a letter or rather bil did from Surrey police. It was saying that his car had been seen on the road and had no insurance. I had told dvla when it went back to the finance company as it wasnt worth selling with a leased battery. Anyway I emailed the police to tell them and wrote to dvla to ask them to sort it out. Earlier this weel complained to dvla that I had heard nothing and wanted to know what they were doing. Today I had an email from the police to say the car is now registered in trade so thats sorted and I wont be getting any hassle hopefully. Its just a shame I have had to write several letters to dvla with no response. So much for their sensitive case team.I need to do some shopping tomorrow so I dont have to get too much on Monday before we take Bear to the field and I catch a train south.I think the wraps up today. Have a good evening4

Pah to all the so-called customer service but at least the car registration is one less thing to worry about.
I know it's a bit late in the day, but I walked past a Shelter charity shop and it had a sign mentioning they do house clearances, maybe worth a quick enquiry in case it's cheaper?1 -

Evening all.A frustrating day. I started off to do the shopping by scooter but realised I hadnt put it on charge and when I checked the indicater it looked a bit ify so put the sooter away with great difficulty. It has to be reversed into the garage and I just couldnt get it to go in proerly. It took about 6 goes until I managed eventually by which time I had missed the bus. Not feeling too bad so decided to walk and call into the vet on the way for Bears tick and flea treatment. Did the shopping but the queues at the till and the cigarette counter were so slow I mssed the bus coming home as well so a half hour in very hot sun did me no good at all. There is no shade anywahere near the bus stop to wait where there is a seat. Not feeling great when I got home so nothing done.At lunch time i had a call from the soilitors office which I missed because I couldnt get to the phone in time. Rang them straight back and the person I needed to speak to had gone for lunch. An hour later I rang them again and they were asking if I had sent back the form they emailed a couple of weeks ago that needed to go back as hard copy. It had been posted the day after I received it. Told them that and they said they would look for it in the meantime I have sent another copy as I am away the first half of next week. Now I have realised I missed putting my NI number on it so will send a third copy in the morning to ensure they have it. I have emailed the number to them but it may need to be in my handwriting so a third copy will stop any delay.A friend called for coffee which was nice as they are away for 3 weeks so wont see them again before amost the end of September.Did some weed killing this evening so the garden now smells of vinegar but I think I am at last getting on top of them fo this year. Not a productive day but i seem to have been busy for much of it. Anyway settled now and hopefully tomorrow will be less annoying.Have a good evening4

But surely they can’t expect people to pay the inheritance tax until the house is sold.
