What a palaver! I know I keep saying it but I hope you know how really very amazing you're being dealing with all of this. Has the solicitor advised what your legal position would be if you so-called 'endangered the sale'?
I am so determined after your experiences that should I ever have any money, not to leave a penny to charity because of the awfulness it would bring to whoever I was hoping to benefit from being the main or joint inheritor. What a terrible shame that they conduct themselves like this.3 -
PIP just catching up. If its any compfort I feel the same way about leaving money to charity when I die. It is probably easier if you leave a set amount as there is no argument then but the way the will is makes it a bit more complex with room for argument. As the solicitor put it charities are legally regquired to get as much money as possible from bequests and as far as I can see they certainly follow that. No I havent discussed a sale failure mainly because I just want it all done asap with as little hassle as possible. I havent heard anything from anyone today so at least thats one days peace.4

Evening allSorry I havent been around but needed a break. Saturday was interesting as I made the threatened steak and kidney pie. Well 3 actually but Mr LH didnt like them so all three ended up in the bin
. I was furious when he flatly refused to eat them. I thought they were as ok as they usually are but theres no point in arguing with him when hes like that. He really doesnt get that standing baking is hard for me and I only made them because he asked me to. It will be a while before I do that again.
5 parcels posted this morning and one person hasnt paid. Why bid on things if you cant be bothered to pay when the auction finishes. The young lady in the PO told me that there was a notice in the local paper apologising for the 2 week closure. It was 3 week so they really dont know what was going on.She also said that they had to turn up for work every day to sit and do nothing. I thought that was a bit ridiculous so did she. I suggested she should have taken up knitting or something to pass the time.Yesterday Mr LH cut back the cypress tree in the garden and the shrub that come over the fence from next door. I have made a start on the oneson the other side of the garden. It is hard because we have gravel that side so my balance makes it hard work. I will get the steps out tomorrow and see if that helps. Thanks to the wind last week my single recycling is overflowing and I have used a small box of mine as well. The council did respond to my complaint that they werent picking up what they dropped. My complaint is that the boxes dont have lids so in a windy area the rubbish blows out of them. Her suggestion was I stack my boxes which I do anyway. They completely ignore the fact again and again that the rubbish (except for a beer can) was from neighbours boxes. The reycling collectors do not collect what is blown out of boxes and neither does anyone else so on windy collection days the area is a tip. I am sure half my rubbish will be in the road in the morning due to the foxes but I will see.Bear out to the secure field today where he was very good. Its a shame we lost one of his ball as they are are not cheap tennis balls. The ones we use are light up ones with solid rubber frames to the plastic windows. He cant destroy them like he does tennis ball and he doesnt like the ordinary rubber dog balls. I have ordered 2 new ones. He has also had a new harness. A purple one this time (his old one was orange). Shame his lead is red but they didnt have the red version of the harness. Altogether £53 spent on him and he needs his food this week. Expensive hobby these animals. Its a good job we love him.I think I had better stop now before you die of boredom. Have a good evening.2 -
We are never bored reading your posts. Concerned about your wellbeing, infuriated on your behalf, impressed with you for so many reasons including that Mr LH is not also in the bin, yes, bored, no.
Well done on yet another productive day0 -
What ingratitude, @ladyholly! I'd have told him to go & sit in the bin for the rest of the day along with the spurned pies! He wouldn't last 5 minutes at our house as I have low tolerance of fussy eaters.

I wouldn’t be baking for Mr LH again after that. Couldn’t he just have put gravy on them if he wasn’t that keen. A waste of your time and ingredients 😡
You’re working so hard with the house clearance, sale and solicitors you don’t need added hassle.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -

Evening AllOut for my almost daily trip to the PO. I wish everyone would buy and pay on the same day but not going to happen and at least I have the scooter for most of the time unless its raining. There are another three parcels to post but I am going to wait until Thursday as I would like a morning at home to so some things like cleaning.A couple of weeks ago I had trouble on some of the pavement where the dustmen had left the wheelie bins in the way and there were no drops on the pavement so if I hadnt been with Mr Mr LH I would have had to backtrack quite a long way and then go on the road for a short distance. Not a good idea on the narrow bendy roads around here. Today was dustbin day and the same thing happened again despite me emailing the council. Mr LH took a photo of one of the places as there were several bins in one place right by a dropped kerb. Unfortunately there wasnt enough room to go down and then up so once again the pavement was blocked with no other drop the way I was heading. I feel a complaint to the council coming on.Shopping at Mr T this afternoon. They are still still moving stuff around and have low stocks of quite a lot of items. In the car park they have now removed all the trolley parks prior to fitting new ones. Why remove all of them when they have quite a long car park and it means a long walk to return the trolley if you park at the far end as Mr LH always does mainly to be sure of finding a space. He saw two OAPs struggling to take their trolley back to the store and there was another one abandoned. I spotted the lack when we arrived so asked in store for some help and the same young man that helped last week appeared to help me again. The trouble is many people wont ask for help and it was a very inconsiderate thing to do for their customers. Another complaint email heading out. Senior managers just dont think.Still all quiet from the solicitor and land people. Off now to compose a couple of emails. Have a good evening.3
