That was very, very ungrateful of MrLH!  I remember when my brother was a teenager he was making a fuss about eating his dinner, pushing it round his plate and saying it was horrible with associated sound effects and face pulling.  My mum, usually very mild mannered, scrapped the plate into the bin then tipped the bin over my brother 🙀.  The rest of us stared in disbelief but I resolved never to suffer the same fate!

Perhaps I shpould have done that but guess who would have had to clear up the mess.

    Evening all.
Off to the post office with my 4 parcels that had grown to 7 which is really too many to take on the scooter but did anyway. Got there and would you believe it they were close due to internet problems - again. Returned home with parcels abandoning the idea of getting some shopping that I couldnt get on Tuesday definitely no room on the scooter. Very annoyed so fired off emails to all relavant parties. They came back very quickly and said an engineer would be out by 11am. They said that last time as well but the problem continued for 3weeks. Anyway I got Mr LH to take me and my by now 8 parcels to another post office so all well in the end. I understand the problem is a mis match between the new fibre cables and the old copper wire. Wouldnt you think adequate testing would happen before introducing new technology. Obviously too much to ask.

Some tidying of drawers has happened today, hoping to do wardrobes in the next day or two. Shopping tomorrow to get the bits I couldnt get today.  I have also done a little bit of tidying in my mini greenhouse which was abandoned when my bil died as I didnt have the energy to do anything with it. I will sort it out ready for next year when I might do a bit better with it. I am gradually tidying the garden for winter - I am very much a fair weather gardener and cant do too much in the hot weather.

When we went to the field with Bear on Monday we lost his fancy ball that has flashing light. He doesnt care about the light but the ball is largely indestructable. His new ones arrived today so we have 4 which gives plenty of scope to lose them.

We had an unfortunate encounter with someone we used to be friends with. It was quite unpleasant to see him knowing how he had cheated another friend out of quite a lot of money and treated his partner, who we have been friends withfor much longer and her husband was mr LHs best friend before he died. We really dont want anything to do with him and were very short with him before he got the message and wandered off much to our relief.

Nothing else today so have a peaceful evening.

Nothing much to report  for yesterday or today. Did some shopping yesterday delayed from Thursday and when I got home realised I would have to go again today to get some stuff that I would normally get on Monday but it looks as though the post office is still closed so will have to use the alternative as I have sold a couple of items and have bids on another 3. This situation is ridiculous as it is the main telecommunications company who dont seem to be able to solve the problems. Do they train their engineers or are they putting in equipment that doesnt talk to the network. Whatever it is I am fed upwith it.

I did a fair bit of listing this morning which will go live tomorrow evening.

Bear has been quite difficult the last couple of days when he has been out. We are wondering if the weather is having an effect on him as the air pressure seems to be changing. We havent had any thunder or lightning but have had some heavy downpours. I had to use the bus this morning as it looked like rain when I left and did rain when I was in the sm.

Bed changed and the sheets washed and hung up. I must do the ironing tomorrow.

I have finished sorting out the mini greenhouse ready for winter. It doesnt stay warm enough in the winter to be useful so will be unused until next spring when I hope I will have more success and energy for it. The solicitor seems to think probate etc will be granted by Easter and if I can get a sale to run alongside the probate application it mey be all done and dusted by then. I can only hope.

Enough for tomight. Have a good evening.

The PO problems don't surprise me in the slightest.  Ever since we went on halo 3 ours has been a nightmare.  Every time I make a phone call, as soon as I hang up the internet stops working & the phone does too.  I dread anyone saying I'll ring you back.  I complain & they send someone out & cancel the complaint even though it still isn't working.  At least my income isn't dependent on it as the PO must be.  Obviously never got any response to my feedback.

    Evening all

I didnt get to the post office today as the weather has been dire. I took Bear out about 1pm and my polo shirt collar is still wet where the rain dripped inside my coat not to mention motorists speeding along the narrow roads and trying to drown me with spray. The weather is supposed to be dry tomorrow so will go then. I have had an email from one of the senior managers of Morrisons/ McColls. Apparently on Friday BT installed a new line but it had the incorrect faceplate so it couldnt be connected to the cable from the horizon system. If anyone understands what that means please let me know. Anyway they are working on a mobile connection at the moment which doesnt inspire confidence so I think I will use the alternative po tomorrow as I will have to use the bus to get there as there are 7 parcels and that is too many to take on the scooter.

I have done a bit of listing today and have sold one of the items already with watchers on some of the others. Parcels are packed and ready to go tomorrow.

A load of washing done yesterday is now dry and has been put away and I actually did the ironing yesterday so that donefor now.

Dusting the lounge is done and the carpet in the conservatory has been brushed and looks a bit better. Mr LHs tools have been stashed out of the way - he seems to be incapable of putting anything away despite regular requests. I have thought of just throwing stuff away but I would only have to replace it so that wont happen.

Bear is looking miserable having got very wet both this morning and at lunchtime. I am hoping it will be dry when I take him out later.

We have had a car insurance renewal today of just under £400 which we dont think is too bad. It isnt so easy to getting alternative quotes for it as it is a grey import. It hasnt gone up too much from last year and we have to bear in mind that Mr LH is 75 so that puts the price up.

I have also received a voucher for double points at Tesco which  will use tomeorrow. It all helps with the Christmas shop.

I think thats it for today. Have a good evening,

It just means the bit you plug the cable into is the wrong shape or size.

Well done on all the listings and sales.

Thank you jwil. I assumed it was something like that but wasnt sure sure. I am not risking their mobile connection so will use the alternative post office today. The weather was so awful yesterday both the parcels and I would have been soaked by the time I got to the PO and there is no shelter at the bus stop on the way back and it is under trees so wouldd have got even wetter. They must go today and as there are a lot I will have to use the bus.

Fingers crossed for the probate and sale timeline.  I hadn't realised that it could take this much time and that's with you being really efficient and timely with everything you need to do.
