Evening allThe roof work is all done and now I am just waiting for the bill. The roof was definately leaking and apparently when the roof was replaced some years ago some of the work wasnt done properly which is part of the cause of todays work needed.Bear was not being a good boy on his walk today pretending he was a tractor so it was a bit risky on the scooter but he did walk with it a little. We had to go to the vet today for his annual vaccinations. He was very good with the vet but not so keen on the two Border Collies in the waiting room which we had to pass. The vet is insisting he has a Brucella Canis test so that is booked in for next Tuesday. I am dreading the result because if by any chance it is positive he will almost certainly have to be euthanised. It is a bit ridiculous as he has been in the country for about 3 years so I am sure if he has it someone would have been ill by now. I cant help worrying though. It would break Mr LHs heart Even more stupid is he had one before importation but because it is hand written in his passport thats not good enough. More likely in my mind is its a money making exercise for the vet.The good thing was he walked quite nicely with the scooter which Mr LH brought to meet meet me from the vet.A couple more sales today so that 4 parcels to post tomorrow. I have only listed a couple of items today as there are a fair number of my listings.Thats it for the today.Have a good evening.4

Keeping everything crossed for you that the test is negative 🤞 Sounds like you have nothing to worry about but only natural that you’re nervous about it. I think it would break all of us who read your diary’s hearts if it was positive.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

If he had one before importation I'd be surprised if there was bad news, other than for your wallet! Well done on all your sales, I really admire your productivity with listing things. Great the roof is sorted if it needed doing, hopefully you're speculating to accumulate since you're inheriting the property1

Evening allNot impressed with the vet they are supposed to be sorting some mild sedation for Bear for his blood test on Tuesday as they need quite a lot apparently and I havent heard a thing. I will ring either tomorrow morning or Monday to chase them.Parcels posted this morning and meal pllan altered for this evening to have salad so popped into sm to buy the bits needed. Very little else done today as it ha been far too hot sor me so my breathing is awful and I am sitting here dripping. Not happy but its supposed to be cooler tomorrow. The bill from the roofer has arrived so thats been paid. Its a good job I have the money to do it. I havent heard back from the solicitor so I assume he may be on holiday. If I dont hear by next week I will mail his secretary.Other than tthe usual food prep., cups of tea etc I have done nothing else as its been too hot to move.I will do a little listing this evening and that will be my lot.Have a good evening.3

Too hot to move has it in a nutshell. An hour ago it was 29. It is nearly 8 & tea is still in the well I know what we are having stage. To be fair I have been far too busy just watching the solar do its stuff. If only the export thing had been set up I would have earned £3 already today. You know what they say small things amuse small minds. Mine must be very small because I am really amused. But I think I may need to bin the tumbledrier. It uses nearly as much as the kettle but for a whole lot longer.1

Evening all.Yesterday it was still very warm even though it rained. Did manage to hoover the lounge, clean the bedroom and sort out more stuff to list. Thankfully I seem to be selling a reasonable amount so a I have now managed to empty 2 boxes. The books are the thing that I know will be hard but will plod on with them. Only 6 boxes of them to go.
Vet rung and no they hadnt done the ssedative for Bear but have promsed it will be ready tomorrow morning.6 parcels packed this evening ready to be posted tomorrow. Did the listing of stuff I sorted yesterday. Out with Bear and Mr LH. On the way home we attached Bear to the scooter and he was being amazing aand trotted along looking like a husky pulling a sled although he was along side not in front. He is so goood we are wondering if he has done something similar before. He also like the speed I can go on the scooter. I think he gets fed up with my usual slow walk. While we were having dinner this evening there was a crash from the kitchen. I had left the joint of pork too near the edge of the work top and someone decided to help himself. He is still looking guilty having been old off even though it ws my fault for leaving it where I did.Off now to check banking, enter the gas and electric readings etc as I didnt do it yesterday.Have a good eveing.6 -
Well done on the sales. Great news about Bear and the scooter. He obviously thought he deserved a treat after"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Staggered to the PO this morning with all the parcels after collecting Bears sedation for the morning. I just hope it doesnt knock him out too much as we have to walk to and fro the vet. Its not far but there is no way I could carry him. I darent let Mr LH come and give us a lift as he is angry that we are having to do the blood test as it has already been done and noted in his passport. Apparently its not official as its hand written and there was me thinking that a pet passport was an official document. Strange there was no argument about the rabies vaccine also hand written. Anyway Mr LH wouldnt be able to keep quiet so its best he stays at home.We took Bear to the secure field and there was confusion over the booking as someone else turned up and seeing that I never get the promised email we gave way to them after about 40mins as their dog was getting stressed and they had booke for two hours apparently and didnt arrive until 15minutes into what they said was their appointment time. . I will write to the owner of the field when I have finished this.I did have an incident with the idiot that we had the police visit afterhim stalking me. I took Bear out at about 6.50 this morning and as we came out we could here a motor bike which upset him a bit. It was getting louder but I assumed it was someone from further up the road going to work. No! It was the stalking neighbour driving up the path to the front of the his house. The path is only a path there is no road at the front of the houses and I cannot see the road at the end of the path until we get onto the public path where we were confronted with this idiot. I snatched Bear back until he had passed but of course by that time Bear was thoroughly upset so dint have the nice peaceful walk he should have had. Why hthe idiot thinks using a motor bike on a public footpath is acceptable I have no idea. I think he had forgotten something and nipped home for it but still an illegal move.A much quieter afternoon and now I am off to email the fireld owner.Have a good evening..4

That sounds like quite a stressful day so I hope you get some time to relax tonight. The neighbour sounds like a right a$$hole. No doubt rules don’t apply to him 🤬
Hope Bear’s appointment goes well tomorrow 🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
