    Evening all

A couple of packages posted and I did this weeks big shop. Next week we should be able to have a more normal week as I am not going to bils.

I have forgotten to say I have been shopping from home or should that be someone elses home in that I brought back some cleaning stuff on my latest trip to Southampton. That will save a little money.

The wheel for my scooter is due tomorrow so I am getting nearer to being able to use it.

The latest frrom the alarm company is I have recieved a form expressing their condolences as though they have just heard asking whether I want to cancel it or continue and they want a death certificate which they have already had. I have also received a bill by email from them without dealing with any of the issues I mentioned in my complaint. I have composed a letter telling them to cancel the monitoring. (They cant anyway as there is no longer a phone line) and that as they have already had the certificate and I wouldnt be sending it again. I have also expressed my displeasure that they are totally inefficiant and couldnt run a **** up in a brewery. I didnt actually say that although I am sick to deathe of them and will be glad to be free from their stupidity.

Nothin else today as I havent done much except get angry at the above.
    Have a good evening.

Oh good grief what a 🤬 Sounds like a few companies are showing their incompetence just lately. You would think they would be more empathetic in the situation.

The house clearance sounds very pricey so worthwhile getting another quote. Is this for non-saleable stuff?

There is a lot furniture that I have been told no one would want not to mention a lot of rubbish stuff. We have brought home what we can but our house is much smaller and trying to sell stuff there when we are at least three hours away would be very complicated. There do not seem to be any second hand shops that I can find who might buy some of it.

Do none of the charities have any need as that is a massive price.  You can however only do what you can do & there comes a time when you need to draw a line.  Your health is also worth an awful lot, do not forget that.  I occurs to me that you have pushed yourself a little much recently.

badmemory  According to the house cleaance men charities will not take much of the stuff as it is not fashionable or old and not in the best condition. I do have a nice selection of black ash and 9 x 6ft bookcases plus 2 smaller ones. :.
My hope is that these men gave the quote as an "I dont want the job". We will see.

Yes I have been pushing myself too hard since April which is why I am having a couple of weeks away before going down again.Things are gradually coming together in that the stairlift has gone, the car has gone, one scooter is up here and the plan is to get the second one up here and then sell it. It not just the physical that has been a problem but worrying what company is going to cause problems next which has cost me a lot of sleep. I think the alarm is the last company to deal with and having witten a letter to them telling them to cancel and I dont want to hear from them again that will be sorted. The contents of the house will be dealt with soon and then its all up to the solicitor. Hopefully I will just have to sign the pieces of paper he tells me to having read them and make sure I understand them. The sale of the house has to be dealt with at some point but nothing can be done about that yet and if I get really stressed it will be offered for a pittance to "We buy any house".

OK going to really stick my nose in here so I will apologise in advance.  I think you must be the sole executor but are you the sole residual beneficiary if so stop reading here.  I suspect that the we buy any house was a bit tongue in cheek, as in you have had enough for the moment & I don't blame you as just reading is winding me up on your behalf.  If you are the sole beneficiary then fine but if you are not you may find any other beneficiaries have cause to complain.  Sorry so sorry.  I almost deleted but then thought how annoyed I would be with myself if it did go pearshaped & you got penalised for it.

Thank you no apology needed I am the sole beneficiary of the house, garden and house  contents. The money in the bank, so to speak, is to be  divided between several charities. I am the sole executor but using a solicitor as I understand charities can be difficult to deal with.

Charities do not get a good name in matters like this. Shame on them.
