Sorry that Mr LH isn't being helpful. Are there smaller tasks you could give him with the 'threat' that if these don't get done you won't be able to do the bigger things so he'll have to?!2

I do ask himto do simple things but while he says yes he will do it doesnt happen so I then the choice of an argument about nagging or I do it myself. Guess which happens. An example - he bought some new wheel trims for the car as we lost one when someone forced him into the kerb about three weeks ago. they are stil in the box and when asked if he was putting them on I got a very snappy yeees!

Evening all.Not an exciting day. A load of washing done and the freezer defrosted and cleaned out. We brought back some stuff from bil a few weeks ago and it was just shoved in so I had got to the stage of being unable to get anything out with being in danger of other things falling out. It all nice and tidy now.Friend called for coffee and thats about it for my day. Tomorrow I want to list some stuff but I need to sort it a bit first as some will go as single items and other bits will be put together as a mixed lot so off to start that.Have a good evening5

Evening allI take back what I said about Mr LH. Having spent the last few days saying I must cut the grass. I actually went out to do it and after doing about a third of it he came out to take over. I have to say I was very grateful as my back was very painful when I was ppushing the mower. I am going down to bils again on Wednesday to pack some more and take photos of the stair lift. Hopefully they will be able to take it out when we go on the 26th in the car otherwise it will mean another trip down there.I have watered the garden which is looking very sd from neglect ut I simply havent got the eb=nergy to do much out there. Laundry from yesterday put away.I did some listing this morning and have sold one of the items already so happy about that.Off to [ut the lawnmower away before settling to watch "Drkest Hour" which is a very good film in my opinion.Take care..5

Evening all.Monday visit to the PO to send a letter to bils alarm company after Fridays fruitless phone call with an especially thick advisor plus a parcel posted at the same time. Quick visit to sm to get cigs for mr LH and a couple of items that I prefer from that sm over the one we do the main shop at.Bear out to his secure field where he had a lovely run largely ignoring any attempt to do some recall training. I think we will have to divide the time and take the long line with us to call him btween us as we have done with other dogs. The trouble is according to his DNA test he is more terrier of various types than anything else and they are notorious for having selective hearing and we have never found anything more important to him than running around. We do miss having another dog to help teach him as we have always had before and the little one was very good at teaching even though she too had terrier ears.A couple more items listed and I have a bid on something I listed yesterday. it doesnt finish until Sunday so something to look forward to.Yesterday when I got the lawnmower out I discovered the hinges on the plastic storage box we have have seized entirely and the top doesnt close properly so out to buy a new one which has kept Mr LH busy putting it together. its not finished but hopefully he will do it tomorrow when we have finished shopping. He will then look at the hinges on the old one to see if it can be made watertight so we can use it as storage for things coming home from bils. We intended getting another one anyway as the hinge at the bottom of the door is broken but purely for temporary storage it will do.I dont thin I have anything else to write about this evening so have a good evening.5

Evening allOther half finished the new garden storage box yesterday and dismantled the old one that was beyond repair. Another small sale which will be posted tomorrow.
Today I was up at 04.30 to catch the early train to bils. Bought my ticket from the ticket machine but it only printed the one for the outward journey. Spoke to ticket collector on the way home and they were happy I had paid ok. Packed up a lot more stuff to come home and moved loads into one of the bedrooms for house clearance people when we get to that. What worries me most is the 6 bookcases that are still full of books. Some are in no condition to sell but many are I have done my best to bring some home over the years but they are heavy so I couldnt manage many at once.I am sheyyered now so will finish here. Have a good evening/4 -
When we were clearing the house, we got a book dealer in to buy a lot of the books. I don't know how prevalent they are any more but it might be an option if there is a 2nd hand book shop in the area. You obviously won't get as much as selling yourself, but you could always pick out the best ones in advance."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Evening allfrom my last post " am sheyyered now so will finish here.". I think that shows how tired I was last evening.Out to PO to post a parcel. I was also intending to send a letter to the solicitor but believe it or not the shop that runs the PO didnt have any envelopes. I eventuallly found some in our local £ shop but then it would have meant a walk back to the letter box and I had bought a large bottle of oil from the sm which was heavy so came home and thought I would do it in the morning. It turned out to be a good move as the solicitor has emailed me a form I needed to sign so they can all go in one envelope tomorrow.I have sprayed some of the weeds on the path with a vinegar, salt, washing up liqid mix but think I was probably wasting my time as it started raining as soon as I had finished. The nice thing was I could open the new storage box easily to get th e sprayer in and out instead of having to move the tarpaulin which was anchored with bricks before getting into the old one.Lots of emailing done mostly to do with bil estate but realised I hadnt made a phone call that I was supposed to until it was too late so will need to do it in the morning.A treat today as Mr LH walked Bear on his own as it was pouring down. I was especially glad as I am still weary from yesterday and consequently my breathing isnt too good. I will take him out tonight though. My problem neighbour hasn't been seen recently except when he goes to work thank goodness. I dont think the problem is over though. I think he is just lying low for a bit after the visit from the police. It is now almost time I stirred myself to take Bear out. Have a good evening
