    Evening all

Out to the PO and to sm to get some toiletries etc. I needed some TCP but couldnt find any so will have a look in Mr T tomorrow when we do the weekly shop. Hooray the PO near the sm has reopened so that makes things easier. I also dropped some books at the charity shop mainly ones from bils that havent sold. Many of his are quite old so have no isbn number to try to sell on book buying sites.

All Mr LHs camping stuff is now away in the right places.

I spent ages on the phone to my dd this afternoon who needed a bit of a sympathetic ear. She has had a horrible week at work last week and my sil had just had a car accident. Some idiot came out of the entrance to a car buying place and didnt stop. Sil had the choice of hitting his car that he was test driving  (a Jaguar) or a recycling lorry. He sensibly chose the car. He car is probably a write off but the car sales place have been very good with a loan car etc etc.

Plants have been watered but nothing is doing very well through neglect. I simply havent got the energy for the garedn at the moment. I must mow the lawn tomorrow or ask one of my neighbours who does gardening as a side job. I will see how I feel. I am only getting a maximum of 4 - 5 hours sleep a night which isnt enough for me. I am worrying about all the stuff that needs doing at bils and the idiot and his German Shepherd isnt helping. I know he is going to say he is just walking his dog but it is much more than that. He hasnt spoken to me or hurt me but it is intimidating and I am constantly watching for him when I am out fearing he will bring his dog near Bear or doing something to me. I am a wuss and hate confrontation. If I was braver I would approach him and ask what his problem is after putting Bear in the house.

Well thats me today. Take care all.

That’s a lot to be dealing with. Get your neighbour to cut the grass. One less thing to deal with.

It would be good if you could get the neighbour to cut the grass while you’re dealing with such a lot. The bloke with the German Shepherd dog sounds like a bully to me. He obviously gets some kick out of intimidating you. It’s a pity you don’t know someone who would give him a taste of his own medicine 😡 How awful for SIL. There seem to be a multitude of incompetent drivers on the roads at the moment. I’ve witnessed it as a pedestrian several times, everyone is in such a rush and no consideration for anyone else.

  • Your neighbour sounds nasty and a bit unhinged. I agree, he needs to get a taste of his own medicine.

Just a quick one this morning as I have been awol for a couple of days. Yes neighbour does seem a bit unhinged but the police rang me yesterday to say they would see him over the weekend if possible and to catch up on last weekends incidents. I was actually on the train home when they rang so couldnt say too much. I am expecting trouble aftrer they have been to see him even though I know they will tell him to avoid me.

If you read the first sentence you will gather I was at biLs yesterday and started the proces of packing stuff up to bring here. More about that later. Suffice it to say I was shattered when I got home and it certainly wasnt a no spend day. Have a good day.

    Evening all

A very unproductive day but it is my son in laws Birthday so spent the morning with him and dd.This afternoon I have caught up with some sleep. Yesterday I woke at 4am and got up as I was worried I wouldnt wake when my alarm went off just before 5am. I took Bear for his walk before I left home at 6am and for once I got a taxi to the station as I knew it would be a hard day packing stuff. I was at BiLs for about 4 hours and in that time I showed someone round the house who is interested in buying some of the furniture, measured the mobility scooter which I am hoping to bring home and packed 9 boxes of assorted ornaments and glasses from the sitting room. Yes there was that much. 3 black bags of rubbish in the dustbin and emptied all the cupboards and and drawers in there. We are both going down on the 26th with dd and sil (he will hire a van and we will have our car) and move as much as possible that we want to keep or sell bearing in mind what we bring home will have to go in the conservatory in the short term at least. One bedroom is largely empty of anything we want but there are 3 more and two more recepttion rooms plus the kitchen and workshop. Oh yes there is also a greenhouse which will need to be checked and I know there is stuff in the attic which may or may not be wanted. Once we have removed what we want then a house clearance company will be employed to get rid of the rest. I also need to arrange to have the stairlift removed as it narrows the stairs which will make get furniture downstairs hard. I wish he had lived in a 2 bedroom bungalow.  :)

Somewhere in the last few days I have done somethings to my back as certain movements are causing intense pain in the small of my back which only lasts seconds but is horrid when it happens. Travelling yesterday did not help it but not too many problams today but other than Bear walks not much done.

I am now off to carry on with my book. Have a good evening.

You're doing a great job with BIL's house.  Hope you get some rest time today.

    Evening all

Its been a productive day re admin but nothing else done except posting a parcel and collected my prescription. I do love my new pharmacy - meds ordered Monday and ready for collection today and thats with the GP taking 2 days to issue the script. This is so much better than the well known company named after footwear.

I have rung the water companyy for BiL so thats done. I then rang the alarm company and got the most useless advisor I have ever experienced. She hadnt got a clue what to do so me being me told her I would write to them by post and could I please have their postal address. She diappeared for about 10 minutes and eventually returned with it so tonight I have written a letter which I will post on Monday when I am out and about. All that was after waiting nearly half an hour for them to answer the phone and I was only second in the queue.

I have got in touch with a company to see about removing the stairlift but they want photos so I am going to have to go down again next week as I would like it gone before the furniture is removed so the staircase is as wide as possible. The good thing is I will be able to pack up more sttuff for collection when we all go on the 26th.

Bils car is proving a problem as is it a small, limited mileage ev with a leased battery and nobody wants them. The solicitor has agreed that it has no value so it will probably be scrapped. I might try we buy any car but no doubt they will offer nothing especially and they will have to collect as I am not allowed to drive. Mr LH could but he is proving to be pretty difficult in helping.

I have booked for Bear to go to the secure field on Monday which will be the first time since the autumn. I am sure he will love it and will probably do nothing but run around.  I am just hoping the ground isnt too rutted. i am planning on taking two walking sticks or I will probably end flat on my face.

I think thats enough mooaning from me for one day. Have a good evening.
