Glad your trip went fairly smoothly, and glad that you got help on the train.

I hope Mr LH is repentant of the times he's had a go at you about Bear!  He's obviously a clever dog.

    Evening all

I havent got cross with mr LH this time with Bear taking an unscheduled walk because neither of us knew he could open the door. The scaore at the moment is mr LH 3 times including yesterday and once to me and I am the one who he calls careless. :D

Went to sm this morning and spent a small fortune on toys for Bear which he immediately destroyed as expected and I had a conservatory full of stuffing. He doesnt get them often so I dont object really. I also bought two brand new books so very happy as I now have a good stash to work my way through. All total luxuries but they have come from my ebay money so havent affected my budget. The bus home didnt appear so 3/4 hour sitting in hot sun waiting for the next one.

Our friend called for coffee at lunchtime which was lovely and then a walk with Bear who met one of his friendswhile out. This afternoon has been spent doing nothing as giving myself recovery time as I rather pushed my energy level the last couple of days so it will take a few days to find some energy again. It is very frustrating but I cant change it so just have to go along with it.

Thats my lack of activity for today so have a good evening all.

After the last couple of days you deserve a break.  Not that it sounds to me like you got one really.
  • I think anyone would need a few days taking it easy after all your current activity!
Glad you've got a lovely pile of books to enjoy, and that Bear enjoyed ripping his gifts apart 😁

You deserve a rest after all the travelling.

My dog (unfortunately) can also open doors - luckily we have a 6ft fence all the way round the house so she can just get into the garden.

We too have a 6ft fence but it doesnt help when Mr LH decides to leave the gate open because he is loading the car, Hopefully he has learned his lesson this time. The one good thing is that several people who thought Bear is a horrid dog have revised their opinion since they have seen him play with their big dogs while Mr LH caught up with him. One even asked a friend if we had ever had dogs before. She laughed and said yes lots but as Bear ignores attempts to recall him he is not safe to be let off lead. If he is out walking he wont look at you as he is so alert to his surroundings. I can only imagine what has happened to him in the past.
