    Evening all

Today has been odd starting when I took Bear out this morning. The man whose dog grabbed Bears leg a few weeks ago came out of his house when I was on the opposite side of our square. As he started to walk in a direction that would have involved us meeting I turned to go in the opposite direction. He also turned and started to walk up the other side which would have us meeting at some point so I turned back to my original way and he also turned so I carried on towards the bigger road where there is a turning to our back entrance. I got near home and he came round the corner coming towards me. By this time I was quite scared and Bear picked up on this so started getting antsy with him and his dog. I dragged Bear into the garden but couldnt get in the house as I hadnt unlocked the door before going out. I had to leave Bear in the garden and went round to the front door and there he was again. I walked across our lawn and shot in the front door locking it behind me. I was going to leave it but mr LH insisted I rang the poice so I rang 101. After an hour I gave up and have reported it on line. I will see if anything happens but after not getting through on the phone It am not too hopeful.

Unfortunately I have to pass his house when I take Bear out. The other green area round here is more popular with dog owners so is hard to take him there as he doesnt like other dogs when he is on the lead and we cant let him off as he goes deaf and does not respond at all. His recall is perfect in the house but not outside and he does seem to take agaimst certain dogs and would run miles to get to a cat. Too big a risk for the local cats of which there are many.

When we took Bear out at lunchtime a dog came running towards him but stopped when told and the owner told us that Bear had been playing with his dog when he escaped the other day and has invited us to take Bear to his back garden so they can have a play. A very kind thought which we may takehim up on.

Jobs done today- bathroom cleaned, bed changed and the sheets and towels washed and dried thanks to the nice weather. Roast lamb dinner cooked, eaten and cleared away.

Hope everyone has also had good weather and a good weekend.

That man sounds unhinged 🤬 I hope he meets his match, someone who’ll sort him out. Good that you’ve reported him but honestly I have no faith in the police, they only seem to be interested in motorists and drug dealers 😞

I really dont think he is right or he was drunk which is what  we thought last time. I did think that it was laughable that when i rang the police the first item on their automated switchboard to report was speeding. If I was reporting speeding I hope they would answer faster or the speeder would be three counties away.

I'm sorry that happened to you, maybe worth calling the council and asking to lodge an anti social behaviour report as well

I took Bear out for his 9pm walk and guess who appeared. Luckily Mr LH was with me so I took the easy way and went to the back door while Mr LH stood by the front door and said he was ringing the police. I had my phone and had 999 ready to dial if he appeared at the back. The good news is I rang 101 again and eventually got through so it is now on record and we should get a visit from our neighborhood team.

That must have been a very unpleasant experience.  Sorry you had to go through that, especially twice in one day.

    Evening all
A quieter day with no sightings of people with large German shepherds.yet but I do still have his evening walk to do. I did avoid our green this morning as Bear had me up at 5.45am to go out and eat grass. As the tastiest grass as far as he is concerned is in front of this mans house I thought it best to go elsewhere. Bear wasnt happy at the different routine but at least we were both safe. I will however do my usual routine tonight as I wont let him frighten me off even if I am scared. I will take my phone with it ready to dial 999 just in case although as I wont be far from home it is unlikely they would be here before I was inside. The advantage was to having to go to the distant PO is there is a charity shop that selll books for 50p each instead of the £1 all the other charge. I came home wih 5 books. :D:D

Out to the distant PO to post some documents to the solicitor and in return I got a load from him which will need signing and returning asap. I still havent had a reply from Mr M as to what is happening to our local PO so I feel an email to the CEO coming on since his customer service dept is useless.

Went to our local (relatiely speaking) garden centre this after to get the stuff we need to do the pond tomorrow. It has the worst layout and unfortunately the dept for pond stauff is as far away from the entrance that it could be. There is very little signage so we always end up in the wrong place and when you leave they have hidden the way to get out without using their tills. The fish place is a franchise so we pay there. By the time we left I was exhausted and in a bad mood at the stupidity of the place.

However had short nap on return and felt a bit better for it.

I did have a chuckle when I happened to look at the bus timetable this morning. At the bottom there is a note that you should arrive at the stop a few minutes early as the bus could be early or late or in other words the times they give are are meaningless. On my way home there were 3 elderly people at the stop and I found the bus they were waiting for had 2 that didnt arrive.Luckily not the one I was waiting for which did arrive on time. It is always a lottery but I do find the app helpful.

Thats enough wittering for tonight. Have a pwaceful one.

Excellent work on your charitable donation 😁

Good on you to not be scared off, and to be ready in case this eejit does try anything again. Hope the walk goes okay.
It occurred to me, might it also be worth contacting the council's mental health team? If he's on their books then maybe they could gently intervene... Or he might just be a hideous human, in which case do contact the council's anti social behaviour department in addition to the police!

To be honest it sounds a bit like dementia to me.  One of the neighbours was getting worse & aggresssive.  Once waved a gun out of his bedroom wndow when there were young children in next door but ones garden.  Walked right up to peoples windows and stared right in.  Reported to the police several times & nothing happened even about the gun.  Eventually one of the neighbours had had enough and wrote a long letter to the doctors listing all the things that had happened.  Next thing he was in hospital.
