beatiful photo beanie.Another day that has been too hot for me to do anything but thats not a bad thing as I need to do the shopping tomorrow, Tuesday I am at the solicitor near bils house - so a long journey, Wednesday we are apparently cleaning out the fish pond and Thursday probably finishing the pond. I am really looking forward to the week - not. In a couple of weeks Mr LH is away at a festival for 4 1/2 days which will be lovely. I have done a load of washing on a cool wash which is now in the bedroom drying. I didnt put it out as it was supposd to rain and I thought it might chuck it down during my nap.We have managed to avoid the thunder today. It travelled up the Bristol channel but we heard nothing and neither did Bear. It is now much cooler which was pleasant when I was watering the greenhouse. I havent watered anything else as we are due heavy rain in the next 24 hours so no extra water used. Roast chicken dinner cooked, eaten and cleared away. Thats my exciting day.I did forget to say last night while I was preparing dinner there was a knock on the door. It was one of my elderly neighbours (even older than me) who couldnt get hold of either her son or daughter on her mobile phone and could I help. Weirdly both of them were constantly engaged so I sent each a text ( she didnt know how) and before she left her daughter phoned her so that was my good deed for the day.Have a peaceful evening6

Lovely you’ll get some time to yourself while Mr LH is at the festival. Is he taking Bear?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Sun_Addict Unfortunately no. Bear is not a suitable dog for festivals due to his dislike of other dogs and some men plus I think he would be scared of all the noise, firepits etc. He is a very fearful dog which makes him quite reactive and he barks a fair bit so he will be at home with me.

Evening allOut to the pO this morning to find them closed due to a shop refit. As I was in there lastThursday or Friday and saw nothing about it I was not happy. It is typical it happened when our bus stop is closed while they dig up the road and so had to walk to the next one with an unusually heavy parcel. I did the weekly shopping and bought a couple of bags of compost so a taxi home. Mr LH gave me a lift to the next nearest PO this afternoon as I am away tomorow so couldnt delay it until tomorrow.
Nothing else done as I am in a lot of pain today and after this morning I am very tired.I will have to be up very early tomorrow to travel to the solicitor and a brief stop at bils to collect any post. From tomorrow it should be redirected to me so that will help in the future. The weather tody is wet and I have just put all the bins out and got wet yet again.Nothing else today. Have a good evening.

I hope the pain eases by tomorrow as it sounds like you have a full on day ahead that you could do without when you’re not feeling great. The rain hasn’t arrived here yet but it’s quite cloudy so expect it will soon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Good morning.I was very tired last night so didnt use the computer at all. Too much travelling in uncomfortable trains I think.I decided to catch the very early train (6.30am) which meant I was up before 5 so Bera got his walk etc. Surprisingly the trains were all on time and there was an available taxi at the station so got to bils house by 10am. Sorted out a pile of post that was there. The redirection starts from today. Sorted some bits out but have left most unntil the valuer has been. Took a taxi to the solicitor which cost less than I expected and was much easier. I now have a list of things to do from said solicitor including arranging for the contents to be valued, and 3 estate agents valuations,The trains home also went ok and fish and chips when I got home. A lot of money spent but that is to be expected for the time being and the solicitor has said we can clear the house after the valuation is done but I will still note down anything of value in case of queries from which ever government tries to get money out of me.Thats it for yesterday. Have a good day.6
