Evening allI am very tired tonight not surprising as I woke at 5.30am having gone to sleep after midnight. The early morning waking seems to be a feature at the moment. It did allow me to do some admin and write to everyone in my bils address book. I have no idea who the people are with one or two exceptions so have apologised for not knowing. Then I found the printer ink is gone. All have been saved and will be printed tomorrow having bought ink this pm at vast expense from the well known electrical store instead of online as usual If it hadnt been urgent I would have waited. There have been several phone calls all taking up a lot of time and much thinking which I am finding is hard work at present.Another couple of items listed for sale as I am trying to clear the stuff I have before more arrives when we can clear bils house. A quick flick round with a duster and the lounge hoovered. The only money spent was for the printer ink which certainly wasnt MSE.Checked what boxes we have in the garage and will put in the car tomorrow along with the ones we have in the conservatory. I know there is loads of newspaper at bil so thet will come in useful for the more fragile stuff and I will get some black bags tomorrow for stuff to be thrown away. I am seriously thinking of a skip in the fullness of time.Enough wittering for this evening. I hope have a good one.7

What a busy day, you're doing brilliantly.
Could a family member help with putting letters in envelopes and stamps on and posting?
Would contacting a house clearance firm once you've taken out everything you want kept be easier/cheaper/quicker than having to sort the rest and arrange and pay for a skip? Or if not a firm, maybe a charity could take some bulkier bits?
Try to make time to have a bit of quiet and taking care of you too, easier said than done I know2 -
I will be fine once things settle down a bit. All the legal stuff will go to the solicitor, the house doesn't bother me too much as there is no rush to clear it and don't laugh I actually enjoy packing. There is a lot of stuff that is only fit for a skip. It's just I don't want to forget anything so my brain is in overdrive which is why I am not sleeping well.3

@ladyholly I had an appalling experience with Cats' Protection League. When I took my cat on, I lived in London. 10 years later I was living in the country. I was pregnant and I'd signed a document saying that if ever I couldn't look after her, I promised to give her back to CPL. She sadly started pooing everywhere which had happened when the previous owner got pregnant and why she was adopted. I felt terrible but exh was cleaning up poo numerous times per day and he wasn't even a cat person. When I called the CPL, they blamed me for getting pregnant (it was my last chance as I was nearly 40 and had a run of bad luck with pregnancies). The Hants CPL refused to take her back and said she would have to go back to London. I called 17 different charities who all refused to take her as she was 17 and on a low protein very expensive diet. One helped me by asking if the CPL expected me to stay celibate till the cat died of old age. Apologies to anyone who volunteers with CPL; I know this is probably just the attitude of one individual. Sending hugs and I hope this anecdote helps you feel less alone @ladyholly love Humdinger xx4

Evening allI didnt wake until 7am this which would have been great had I not been awake between the hours of 2.30am and 5.30am.
Cats protection phoned this morning for some reason they have changed the centre dealing with the collection and instead of sending 2 people who know what they are doing with a cat they are sending a volunteer driver only. I hope neighbour and mr LH can manage to get her in the carrier ok. If they had agreed to the time I wanted I would have been around instead I will be at the register office.Mr LH has decided that I should travel down to the register office by train as to either drop me there and him be back at bils house for the cat pick up or for me to travel from bils house to the register office is pushing it time wise as getting out of our town onto the motorway first thing can be a nightmare. He will then follow me down in the car. . It is a stupid journey whether by train or car but after this time we will be able to take our time when we need to go down and if I go by train I wont have to be up at the crack of dawn and it is only one change. The solicitor rang and wont be able to access the original will for afew days as it is in storage away from the office so he will phone next week.I spent nearly 2 hours printing letters to bils contacts as the printer kept stopping and telling me all sorts of rubbish but they are done. I just need to address envelopes and then they can be posted. Shopping done this afternoon and for the first time in a few days I managed to have a short nap this afternoon. The car is loaded with all the boxes so all to do in the morning is put the cool box in the car so we can empty the freezer and bring the contents back, make some sandwiches for lunch and get mr LH going. He should be taking me to the station in the morning for the 08.20 t2ain so I am hoping he will shift himself.I will be glad when I know the cat has been collected but we have had good news in that the fish have been collected.Where has today gone?Have a good evening.6 -

Well they aren't living up to their advertising that's for sure.1

I hope all goes well today. That's so disappointing about the CPL."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1
