my main worry at the moment is the cat. Cats protection have been useless and I have just found out that bils neighbour goes on holiday next weekend. I will ring cats protection again on Monday and stress the urgency and that the cat will be left to starve to death. No I wont do that but I am coming to the conclusion she may need to be pts. I know she is old but is healthy so I really do not want to do that but having approached other rescues no one has space. Covid has a lot to answer for. Below is copied from the cats protection guardian service. I will leave you to form your own conclusions.

As soon as we are informed that someone who is registered with our Cat Guardians service has died, our support teams will liaise with our local staff and volunteers to make arrangements for the immediate care of the cats in question as a priority.

Once we have ensured that these arrangements for the immediate care of your cats are in place, we will speak to your nearest branch to see if they have the capacity to take the cat into their care. Due to the nature of our work, our smaller branches may not always have space free at such short notice but there will always be space for emergencies at our larger centres, which guarantees that we can always bring your cats into our care.

I have formed my own conclusions & they are not good.  Can we assume that bil left some money to them?  They are probably thinking whilst someone else is dealing with it we don't have to.

That’s absolutely rubbish, they know you are at a stressful time otherwise you wouldn’t be needing them.

I will be ringing them first thing Monday and being somewhat more forceful. They shouldn't make promises they can't keep

You may think that but I can't possibly comment.

I now have to say that cats protection have just phoned me and she is being collected on Wednesday when we are at the house. It's just a shame they have taken so long and caused us sleepless nights but hopefully all will go to plan.  One less thing to worry about.
That’s hopefully good news. I was still
try to figure out how to get the cat from your end to mine.

That's good news about the cat.  Definitely sounds worthwhile to get the solicitor to do the heavy lifting.

    Evening all.
Thank you all for your comments. It has certainly taken one load off my mind. Other than the news of the cat there is very little tonight. I have taken things very easy today as I thought I deserved a break. I have posted the forms to the funeral director by special delivery so they get it as soon as possible as they were nagging. Not very MSE but hopefully it will guaruntee they get them promptly.

Usual care of baby plants and a load of washing done some of which went outside on the clothes horse. It has dried beautifully.

THe cooker that goes in our van has now been fixed by one of our neighbours who fixes caravan cookers so Mr LH wont need to use the cheap one we got for him last year which is very slow to do anything. If Mr LH is happy I will probably try to sell it but he is so stressed about everything at the moment there is no point in asking him as he wont be able to make a decision.

     Nothing else of note today.
    Have a good evening.
