What an annoyance, at least it's done now and fantastic it's gone well. Keep resting as much as you need to. And Lady Holly can wear showbiz sunglasses out whenever she likes, darlings 😁3

Well done on your op. I’ve had both eyes done too and it was a bit hit and miss with the second. You’re doing well. Onwards and upwards!2

What a palaver. At least it's done. Leave those nets!3

Sounds like a right palaver. Hope you get lots of rest."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Well done on getting through the palaver at the hospital, glad to hear your sight is further improved. Sounds as though you are back to your busy ways, remember to cut yourself some slack x2

Thanks all. A beautiful sunny day today after quite a heavy frost overnight. Bear must have got chilly toes on his early walk.Forgot to say the water bill for the next twelve months arrived yesterday. It has gone up by almost £8 pm.Today I feel more like me after a decent nights sleep. I decided to do the nets and clean the windows and frames but leave the curtains. Blow me I ordered the wrong length of nets so there was a 5cm gap at the bottom not helped by the fact the nets were over a cm shorter that the the length they should have been. I have been in touch with seller and hope I can return them but am not too hopeful as it was sold by the metre. Anyway I have ordered so new ones the right length and if I dont get a refund I shall sell them. It will be for a loss no doubt but at least I will get something back. In the meantime I have washed the old ones and rehung them disguising the tears that were made by the dog we had to return. Felt very weary after all that so have done nothing else except walk Bear this morning and at lunchtime.I am going tohave a quick catch up of other diaries and then watch the great pottery throwdown.Meals. Breakfast - usual oats and fruit, lunch - salad, scrambled egg, b&b, dinner - roast pork, culiflower, carrots, broccoli, stuffing and apple sauce. Snacks yoghurt and a few grapes as there werent many left.3

Happy Monday evening. Not the most productive day but parcel posted. Lierally pennies made but every little helps and it is something out of the house. Milk bought along with dog treats and some other bits and pieces. I did apparently save £1.47 with nectar prices.Letter from sky - the payment is going up £2.50 pm. If it wasnt for the documentaries the Mr LH watches I dont think would be worth it.Surveys done and could claim £5 but I am going to leave it for now.
The friend that picked me up from the hospital called to check up on me and has donated half a bottle of Jack Daniels that came from a friend of hers to Mr LH. My eye is doing ok except for a bit of watering which is common.Cucumber seeds planted, courgettes doing well, leeks not so much and the tomatoes are yet to sprout. I am running out of space in my bedroom. It is too cold to plant outside (frost this morning followed by more rain and wind). As the greenhouse is only a cheap mini one it does not give much protection so only useful when the weather warms up,Mr LH walked Bear today as he didnt want to walk with me wearing sunglasses in the rain. They do stop any wind or grit etc from irritating my eye though. Bear was a bit worked up by a postman but calms much faster than he used to.Meals. Breakfast - oats and fruit, lunch - scrambled egg and b&b, dinner - pasta, tuna and mushrooms. Snacks yoghurt and grapes. Weigh in tomorrow but I am not hopeful as I have been eating more than I should.Have a pleasant evening.4 -
Evening all.Today has definitely not been a no spend day. First there was an e mail from the council wanting £60 for my green bin. I paid it straight away before I forgot it. Then we went shopping and got some fuel while we were out. For the first time for ages I sat in the front of the car while Bear was in the back and he was very good. Previously he was barking and barking so I suppose that it another stage in him trusting us and feeling more settled.Made cullen skink for dinner, did a load of washing and not a lot else. I am very tired today but no idea why. I have had another tiny sale which means I will need to pop out in the morning to post it.I have found my spinach seeds so will plant some tomorrow depending on the weather. I am not allowed to bend over as it will increase the pressure in my eye so will either sit on the small wall next to the planter or get a chair. I know there is rain in the forecast but the temperature seems to be rising a little. We had a beautiful sunny afternon and wasnt cold. I didnt even wear gloves when we walked Bear.Meals. Breakfast - oats and fruit, lunch usual scrambled egg, salad and b & b, dinner cullen skink and french bread. Snacks I did succumb to a little kitkat rabbit from the sm Easter section, grapes. I have lost anoth lb this week which was quite surprising. The journey continues.Have a good evening4
