  • Please be careful up ladders by yourself! Glad the gutter isn't in much need.

Lovely to have a lift back from your procedure, and extra nice that you're doing your primani-fan friend a favour by having it 😁

I took Bear out about an hour ago to the sound of a British winter - car engines idling as owners scraped their windows. It is frosty here and am sat with the back door open for Bear. That is not going to last long so he will probably go upstairs to keep Mr LH company. Not that he will notice as I wont see him until lunchtime. A load of washing in the machine but nothing else done yet. Weigh in later.

Good luck with weigh in and glad you have a lift to the hospital.

Phew to the freezer, glad it was something simple. It’s the one appliance I dread breaking down.

Well done on another weight loss 👏
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • What a relief re the freezer! Any ideas on how it got switched off?

Well done on another sale! I'm hoping to be well enough to do car boot sale this weekend, but as I've said that the last four or five weeks I'm not booking anything yet!

I have no idea how the freezer got switched off. i am just glad Mr LH found it before I bought a new one.
I stopped doing car boot sales a few years back as we have a choice of two. One you have to get up at the crack of dawn for as it starts about 6am the other starts at midday but the field its held in is so full of ruts it is dangerous for me even just behind our tables and Mr LH refuses to wreck the cars suspension anyway. It is also use by sheep for much of the time so you also have to avoid what they leave behind.

    Evening all.
Another miserable day with drizzle and general dampness. What my Scottish friend would call dreich.
The tomato seeds are planted at last and the seedlings watered. Parcel posted so thats done.
I am trying to think what we can have for dinner on Friday as I really dont want to have to faff about after my op but neither do I want to put anything in the oven as I would have to bend down to get it in and out and bending over is someting I am not allowed to do for a couple of weeks. I could kneel down but not only is get down painful but get up is even worse. I am coming down on the side of a stew as I can throw it in the slow cooker before I leave and leave potatoes ready peeled. If Mr LH would go to the chippy we could have fish and chips but although he will take me I refuse to go in with an eye shield looking rather stupid. Yes I pure vanity but there it is.

I also need to think of something to take for lunch as I need to leave home at 10.30 for my appointment at 12.30. That gets me there early but there can be delays on the way. I am thinking a sandwich of some description but cant decide what. My choice would be egg mayo but I dont think others would appreciate that.

1 load of washing done and the towels I washed yesterday have been put away.

Bear was not good with another dog today and took great exception to it walking where he wanted to go. This was the worst he has been for some time and he then did the same thing when the postman was walking down the same bit of pavement. He has been so good recently but we know there will be set backs. Tomorrow is aanother day.

Not a no spend day due to the parcel and neither will tomorrow be as I will need to buy some mushrooms to put in the stew.

Thats it for now. Have a quiet evening.
