Just a quick one as I am shattered. Bil is nothing serious if the gp is right but he is having various tests to make sure. I got soaked on the walk to the station and my gloves haves been wet all day. Also been cold. I am just getting warm.
Usual suitcase of stuff brought back but nothing worth much I don't think.
Soaked again walking to the chippy from the car park. There was an accident at a junction which looked liked it involved 2 cars and a double Decker bus. Couldn't see what damage but the queue to get round it was very long and we had to go home a long way round.
I am not going to list food except to say it has been dreadful so will have to be quite strict the rest of the food.
I have an appointment for my cataract op on the 1st March. Mr LH took the call and apparently they wanted to give me a 7.30am appointment which would mean leaving home before 5.30 to stand a chance of being on time. Anyway they agreed to a pm appointment which is much better.
Just to chill and do nothing now.

Good evening. I have sorted out the things I brought back yesterday and listed some of it before the battery in my camera gave up. There is some for the charity shop and some will go straight in the bin. It always seems rude to sort it there and say I will take this and not that so the whole lot comes home.
My joints and muscles are painful today but I expected that from the travelling. Going upstairs is very hard and have resorted to crawling up a couple of times.
Bear has been at the vets and because he was imported they were asking if he had been tested for brucella canis. I said I was pretty sure he had been but would have to check. Fortunately he was or they were suggesting he should be tested as some vets are refusing to treat dogs who haven't been. The test would have been $100 that should be pounds sterling but I don't have a sign on my phone.. Anyway all well that ends well and he has his flea and tick treatment. $50 spent for that and his wormer.i will take his passport in on Monday to show them.
Food today breakfast oats. Lunch houmus and salad with bread and very light soft cheese. Dinner. Beans on toast, mushrooms and a slice of bacon. Snacks a couple of spoons of yogurt and grapes plus a share of bears banana. Somewhat better than yesterday which I am trying to forget.
That's it for now. Have a lovely weekend.3 -
I had to Google brucella canis as I’ve never heard of it. So does this mean Bear’s origin is Eastern European? Good job you have his passport.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Sorry I missed posting yesterday due to I am not sure what. Out shopping first thing as Mr LH wanted some lighter fluid for something -not sure what but he has been putting the holder in the car for the new sat nav so something to do with that. While he was outside I hoovered right through the house. We had a friend round last night and Bear jumped over the coffee table knocking two cups of coffee everywhere. I think it frightened him as he was quite subdued afterwards.
Food was breakfast - oats and raspberries. Lunch salad, scrambled egg and b& b. Dinner pork chop, baked potato, sweet potato, carrots and broccoli. Snacks were grapes.
I will post for today later if I can get the computer away from Mr LH5 -
On to today. Washing that I did yesterday has been put away and the carpet which still showed signs of last nights coffee bath has been cleaned again. I think it may need one more go with the carpet cleaner when I will do the whole lot. (I only did the stain today). Bathroom cleaned and roast dinner cooked. I bought 2 tiny chickens for 99p each and cooked them both for dinner tonight and tomorrow. I was surprised at the amount of meat on them and thin I will get a third meal out of them for me if not Mr LH as well. Not bad for under £2.I sold something yesterday and 2 more things today.so they are all packed and ready to post in the morning. Assuming the final item has been paid for. I also listed the final lot of the things I brought back from my BiL.Usual walks with Bear who was pretty good with a small spaniel passing quite close to him but the owners was very good and the dog showed no interest in Bear which is always advantageous. He doesnt like a dog watching him as is true of many reactive dogs.Food today. breakfast - Oats and raspberries, lunch, the same as yesterday and dinner - roast chicken, sprouts, cauliflower and carrots. I dont like roast potatoes so none of those. Snacks a spoonful of soft cheese and grapes.A nice quite day and I hope all had similar.
