I forgot to say while I was at the doctors with Mr LH I changed my mobile number and asked them to alter my pharmacy to one near the supermarket and has a bus route. I hope they will do it quickly as I need to order my meds soon. I must remember the vet and if I leave early tomorrow i can do that on the way to the bus.

Hope pre-op goes well.
Your change of attitude to food is going well.
I went shopping this evening and really wanted Michael Muesli (as we affectionately call him) to have a look in my trolley. Lots of fruit and veg and the bar of chocolate was so small it could easily hide behind the pineapple and Dr MM wouldn't even have seen it 😁4 -
I wrote a fairly angry post last night but deleted it as it probably wasn't a good idea.
Just to say as someone in a larger body, I don't exist to make people feel better about themselves. People become large for many reasons and it is rarely as simple as being lazy and eating too much. There are usually much wider struggles going on with physical or mental health or just in daily life. People need empathy and support rather than judgement as you never know what's going on in the background.
Losing weight at any size is a challenge, and we should focus on our own journey rather than compare ourselves to others or use others to make ourselves feel better.
I'm off my soapbox now.
You are doing great LH. I often wind up cooking separately for me too as the others want to eat differently. I'll try and have a common element where I can, so maybe I'll have the meat, but have veg instead of chips, that sort of thing.
Glad Mr LH has seen the doc and hope the meds kick in soon. Hopefully moving the pharmacy will help as well.

I’m sorry my post caused offence . I have deleted it and will no longer post on this thread.0

Hoping that all goes well with your cataract procedure @ladyholly. My step mum had both eyes done (not at the same time!) and found the process very beneficial.
I'm glad mr lh has had a diagnosis for his ear pain, ear infections are so miserable, hope his medication sorts it out quickly.
I'm very impressed by the changes you are making diet-wise, well done, you!1 -

FreetodoasIlike You are very welcome to keep posting. I am sure jwil wont mind me saying we all have our own ideas and opinions and that what makes the diaries interesting at least I hope she mind. Now for today. Left for the hospital early and then had to return hometo collect my walking stick. I dont use it all the time but there is a slope at the bus station and the road to the hospital slopes both of which I find hard to negotiate. Went to the vet to sort out my mobile number and get Bears flea treatment Apparently the law has changed and they need to see him before it is dispensed so an appointment made for next Friday as I have things on next week. The only good thing is he gets a free health check as they are not charging for it. Left my walking stick so after walking halfway up the road I had to go back for it. There was a bus at the stop when I was about 30yards away on the wrong side of the main road so speeded up to the best of my ability and blow me he waited for me. I then found it was the bus before the one I intended to catch so arrived at the hospital early but they didnt seem to mind as I was taken in early and had all the teats needed which were all fine except my blood pressure was slightly high but they werent bothered by it so all I have to do now is wait for the appointment for the operation.Only a 10 minute wait for the bus back and called to Sainsthing for a couple of things we needed. Left the shop, put my trolley away and collected my pound . Walked of to get the bus home and realised I had left my stick in the trolley so returned to get and then to the bus stop. Not paying attention on the way home I came to just as we passed my stop so a slightly longer walk to get home just in time to take Bear for his walk with Mr LH. It was nice to be able to stretch my legs as I found the seats on many buses are too close together so I end up hardly able to walk when I get off. While at the bus station I popped into the cafe to get a bottle of water (Bear had my last bottle to play with so note to self buy a reusable one). It was ".39 which I thought was extortionate but was thirsty so bit the bullet to find they only had 50ps in change. His offer was to either pay £2.50 0r buy a bigger bottle. I said I will not be blackmailed into spending more so left faster than I arrived. I was very glad of a cup of tea when I got home.Food for today has been a bit odd and not really enough fruit or veg. But have more or less kept to the plan. Overnight oats with apple and strawberries for breakfast, pasta and tuna salad for lunch (eaten at the bus station), a banana shared with Bear when I got home and cullen skink and French bread for dinner. I did eat more bread than I should have done but only had butter on one piece. Tomorrow is another day and this is a long term change not an instant fix.Off now to catch up with the apprentice which Mr LH doesnt like.5
