If you are concerned about your heart rate have you considered one of "those" watches which track things like heart rate & no of steps etc.

Sorry about the fall, hope you are feeling better now.

    Hope the dizziness improves.

Thank all. My blood pressure was fine when I went to the gp recently although when I have done it at home it has been a bit high though not sure how accurate my monitor is.
The only reason I am slightly concerned is that when I had the ecg they were concerned if I was getting dizzy due to the low heart rate.  At that point I wasn't but I don't want a doctor to think that either I was lying or I only have it because it was suggested at the hospital.
I think I may well take up badmemorys suggestion of a smart watch that monitors such stuff. I need to have a chat with my dd and sil for some advice as I am not very technically minded and may need some help with it. I have had enough trouble with new new phone.
I will do a proper update in the morning as Mr LH monopolises the computer after bears walk so I am on my phone.

I have a pretty basic iwatch which I primarily use as a falls detector but it also records heart rate.

Well done on moving more and changing your diet.  It will be helping even if you don't see results on the scales (as I can attest to!).

It's always worth getting the dizziness checked out if it continues.  Could it be low blood sugar?

Well done on changing your choice of food and doing some exercise.  I expect you will feel the benefits soon.
I've been watching the omni-present Michael Mosley "big shop" programme and have actually found bits of it interesting.  The parts of the show that involve reducing the weekly intake of 38 pints of cola are stating the bloomin obvious but overall it's watchable and reasonably helpful.
I have been watching it too and also you are what you eat on catch up. The funny thing while the basic advice is the same they do sometimes say different things.
The stupid thing is I know what I should eat but it's not always that simple as my brain tells me different Now on day 5 and doing ok so far. One day at a time.
