A fairly quick one tonight. Post, charity shop and shopping done. A speedy flicking round with a duster also complete.
Mr LH is still having ear problems so a call to the gp in the morning.
I have been on all Bears walks today so a bit extra walking. I must look for some exercise routines on you tube that I can do.
Food today breakfast oats and canned peaches as I have run out of other fruit until big shop tomorrow. Lunch for the first time I tried houmus and enjoyed it. I mixed it with salad and a slice of wholemeal bread and butter. Dinner pasta, tuna, mushrooms, runner beans, broccoli and sweet potato. Snacks were a few grapes and a shared banana with Bear.
That's it for today. Have a peaceful night.4 -
Evening all. I have achieved a record with our GP. I was 5th in the queue and got an appointment for Mr LH with no problem. The infection in his ears has gone but he has been left with a buiild up of fluid behing his eardrum. He has to pinch his nose and breathe out (as you do after a long flight) 4 times x 4times a day for 10 days which will hopefully clear it. Smoking doesnt help but doctors seem to blame everything on either weight or smoking.Shopping done on my own this morning as his app. was this afternoon. Not much to get so managed on the bus. I did get a couple of cheap shrubs (I cant remember what and the packs have been thrown out) to go in pots either side of the back door. At the moment they just look like sticks but will hopefully improve. Only £4 spent so not the end of the world if they dont grow. Our sat nav has died and we need it to get to bil as we can never remember the way and if the news on Thursday is bad we may well need it in the near future. I am trying to be prepared for any news but hoping it wont be too bad.Dd and I are going to see Wicked tomorrow which I am looking forward to. I have never seen it so it will be a surprise and the reviews I have seen have been good.Lounge hoovered but thats it as I was shattered having used the bus to get home.Food today. Breafast - Oats and fruit, lunch salad with houmas and a slice of bread and butter, dinner a mushroom omelette with broccoli, carrots and sprouts. Snacks have been grapes and a couple of spoons of natural yoghurt.Weigh in I have lost 2lb this week which is about what I would expect.I hope everyone has a good day day and has a peaceful evening.5

Well done on the 2lb off, that’s a sensible sustainable amount and more likely to stay off.
A lot of people I know have a sat nav app downloaded on their phone. Is this an option rather than go to the expense of a new sat nav?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

Good that your changed eating habits are resulting in weight loss. Thais week's loss equates to a bag of flour you don't need to carry around with you
fingers crossed that your BIL's chat isn't too ominous4 -
If the vehicle is only doing very short mileage, a few months ago mine did that & just wouldn't turn on. Did a few more miles in one journey & it came back. I can no longer get updates as the vehicle supplier no longer uses the same provider which frankly is a major pain, but at least it does still work. If it does come back though watch for the speed limits.

2lb is a great result, well done!

2 lbs is an excellent loss, nice and steady wins the race! I always compare a 2lb weight loss to a bag of flour too.
Hope that news from your BiL is not as bad as you think it could be and that that Mr LH's ears quickly improve.
I use Google Maps on my mobile phone for directions if that may be useful to you on your travels xx1 -
Thank you all for your compliments and advice re weight loss and say nav. The weight loss is what I was looking for so that's good. I don't think I will do well this week as it is fish and chips for dinner tomorrow and I did have some chocolate at the theatre but back on track Friday.
Using the sat nav on his phone would not be an option. He can barely send a message on it.he has a new one now so is happy.
Wicked was excellent and we really enjoyed it. Now looking forward to Oklahoma in April at our local theatre.
Food today. Breakfast oats and fruit, lunch salad and sardines with bread and butter, dinner lamb chops, baked potato and peas. Snack grapes and milky way. I know not enough fruit and veg but I didn't get home until 7pm so it had to be something quick.5
