Sorry to hear how overwhelmed you feel but can understand totally. It’s hard when you have to do everything on your own. Hopefully Mr LH will perk up after a couple of days on the antibiotics.

Definitely meet your friend you need some time just for you away from all the doing.

I'm sorry things are so tough at the moment, you've got a lot on your plate and the constant negativity won't be helping. Hopefully Mr LH will pick up soon and get back to helping.

That's ridiculous about the pharmacy.  I get that they are trying to stop people hoarding meds, but 3-4 days early is hardly an issue, particularly at this time of year when they are going to be closed for several days!

Hope that today is a bit better for you.  It's not easy looking after a poorly partner particularly if they are not an easy or receptive patient.
I think you should insist on home delivery of your meds - you have enough going on and it's one less journey and one less hassle.  I had to be fairly insistent when I got this set up for my parents - the fierce assistant in the chemist (she was renowned for her fierceness) told me that she thought my mum was sprightly enough to walk and collect them herself.  I had to point out that she might be sprightly but she wouldn't remember where she was going or why due to her memory issues!
It works really well now and saves lots of trips to the chemist and queuing.
I agree that meeting your friend will do you the world of good.

Firstly thank everyone for your kind comments. I am feeling a bit more positive today and my apologies for such a self pitying post yesterday. I have spoken to the pharmacy (the nations biggest beginning with B)  and told them their is ridiculous and doesnt allow for people changing their plans etc. They say they only order the drugs the day before they are due. I said that is a stupid system. They did offer to deliver them tomorrow but that means I have to stay in all day at their convenience which doesnt work for me or Bear so I will walk down to collect them and get a taxi to Mr S to get some shopping. While I am at S I will pop into the pharmacy there and see what their system is and then change with the GP. My main reluctance to change comes from the difficulty of getting one of my tablets which is an unusual one which is why I want to talk to them.

Christmas decorations have been retrieved from the attic and the lights tested so thats one job done. Ecg was fine but I have a heart rate of 50 which is quite slow. With no other symptoms they didnt seem too bothered but we will see what the gp says. I did say I have a low normal temperature as well if that makes any difference.

Bear had another dog run up to him today I (I think the owner let it do it intentionally as she is friends with the owner of the dog we had trouble with). Bear was pretty well behaved and the owner did call her dog back which he obeyed but it is asking for trouble for them because if either dog was hurt they would be held responsible as their dog was out of control. The police in this area want all dogs to be kept on a lead and the more incidents there are the more likely it is they will get their way.

I did notice this morning I have my £10 Christmas bonus but other than the taxi fares no money spent. There isnt much food being eaten so we are saving there and Mr LH isnt really smoking at the moment so another saving. I have bought them this week but that means I have a week in hand which is a useful £50 if I need it or to put another way several bottles of wine for Christmas. £5 in paypal from surveys. I did a you gov one this morning - only 4500 points to go. :p

Now I must gor and see if there are any other surveys anywhere.

Glad you are feeling a bit better.  I think we all have days where we just need to vent and let it all out!

Hope you have some success with the potential new pharmacy.

I collected my prescription and while I was on my way there I realised that I didn't order 2 of the 3 items as I don't always need the full amount. I wish I had remembered when they rang yesterday.
Shopping done including a duck for Christmas.  We never have turkey since mr lh worked in a pub restaurant that did Christmas dinners from 1st December.  By the 25th he had seen enough turkey for the year. I was going to get a taxi home but when I rang I was 6th in the queue just to order it and I knew there were delays on the motorway so they were taking ages. Gave up and got a bus. Had to wait about half an hour but it saved £6.80 taxi fare and probably didn't take any longer.

A couple of surveys done and about half way to another fiver. Slow but fairly steady.
Still not much food being eaten so still saving. It's a bit of a drastic way to save. I think mr lh is very gradually improving but he is a bit of a drama queen so hard to tell.

I am watching vigil on iplayer and really enjoying it. Almost at the end of episode two  so should be caught up by Sunday and the next episode.  Then I  can start on sewing bee. I am holding the rest of inside the tower until there is nothing else I want to see.

It's almost time for the news so off to get a dose of doom an gloom.
